Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge ~~ Decembere.

Welcome to the December Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge and if you have read the main blog you will already know that the challenge blog will be on an extended hiatus. Check the main blog for all the information. So here is my final offering for the challenge.

As you see the challenge is Anything Goes with the option of Festive Animals and who doesn't love critters all dressed up for the Holidays

I do love my House Mouse images and use them any time I get a chance and this little critter is so adorable with his "berry" nose and branches for antlers. I used the "Softly Falling EF: from Stampin'up for the background and a snowflake circle from Memory Box.  The jury is out on whether I am putting a sentiment on the frond, perhaps a small silver sentiment as not to take away from the focal point, What do you think?

I finished the inside with the sentiment that went with the image which is a Stampendous Clear Mini stamp set (I have quite a collection, Christmas and more.)  I added a couple of pieces of the glitter scraps and a sticker snowflake.

I am entering this in:

Critter Crazy Challenge Blog ~~ Challenge #81 Anything Goes.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful December.

Fold it Up

Guess what time it is.....a new Shopping Our Stash challenge and its Fold it up, we want you to show us your favourite Fun/Fancy fold card. Some days I find making a fun fold card is easier than making a regular A2 card, just remember to measure twice cut once no matter what fun fold tutorial you use and wow there are so many, Rocker card, many types of Easel cards, my favourite to make is a triangle easel card.

I love my House Mouse Design stamps and they work so well with fun folds
The fold I used is a Double Z Fold the tutorial I used is from Dawn's Stamping Thoughts Video.
This was one of the early HM stamps it is a wood block, the cardstock is at least 8 years old, the name eludes me and the happy birthday is also one of my fav. wood mount stamps dated 2001 The newest item used on this card is the Elizabeth Craft Designs stitched rectangle and scalloped rectangles well used for over 5 years.

This is what the fold looks like with the card open. The added sentiments are from a set I was happy to find in my stash  One of the inside sentiments was a clear stamp set from Photoplay and the second was an older Stampin'up set.

Just another angle of the how the  card stands.

I'm adding tis to:

Seize the Birthday ~~ Anything Goes.

Thanks for visiting my blog today and now head to the Main Blog and check your the fabulous fun folds the rest of the design team have made.

April Showers

April showers is the new challenge ag Shopping Our Stash. It's an easy one this fortnight, rain, umbrella, puddles, clouds maybe a baby or wedding shower card, lots of choices.

I do love my House Mouse staaps I'm sure this is one of the first ones I bought, it a wood block stamp and I do love the feel of the block in my hand, although cling mount are easy to restamp when you mess up. It took me a while go get this done, I had everything but the sentiment picked out, sat and coloured the image and realized I had maid a very noticeable error on the flower, gave a big sigh and stamped another (badly) third stamping went well as did the colouring and it went faster than the first try. The raindrops winked with stella. The patterned paper is from Dollarama and amazingly good weight too.

I haven't finished the inside of the card although I saved a scrap of the patterned paper for the inside and I can decide what kind of sentiment to use as this could be a get well or a thinking of you card and by leaving it blank you can just write your own words.

Jingle All The Way!!!

It's a new month and a new challenge at Happy Little Stampers Christmas, we aim to keep you on track making holiday cards. The challenge is always Anything Goes but Jingle Bells is the option this month.

Of course I went with the option of Jingle Belles and used  a House Mouse Stamp with Jingle Bells.

I made the sky background with a couple of shades of distress oxide ink on watercolour paper, the image was stamped, coloured with markers and fussy cut (half of it), I flat attached the snow but popped the bells up. Added the sentiment which I also fussy cut so it fit in the space.

A different angle to see the elevation of the bells.

Finished the inside with as Hero Arts sentiment and a few glittery dots.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you will add a Christmas creation to our challenge.

Happy Little Stampers March Christmas Challenge.

Back from an extended winter break and ready to inspire you to work on your Holiday cards. As you will see the challenge is always Anything Goes but with an option.

Very easy job picking out my stamp to use for the challenge I have 3 or more House Mouse with Candy Canes, 4 full size and a mini. I rarely have a problem using a Housee Mouse Designs stamp for any challenge, the hard part is not to use them for every one. LOL. So here is the image I decided to use.

I made a 5 1/2 inch square card the image is a House Mouse Design and the patterned paper is from Heidi Swapp. the sentiment doesn't show up very well in White but I don't think any colour would show up well on the candy cane striped paper.

A closer look at the darling little mice, the candy canes were coloured with the Lipstick spika glitter pen.

Finished the inside with a bit of patterned paper and an Obsession Impressions sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by today and now is the time to get your Holiday craft on so you don't end up in chaos in November.

I'm Still Dreaming of a Pink Christmas.....

Back again as I got another card done for the Jingle Belles Rock Pink Christmas challenge, it's my favourite challenge of the year. Both Stephanie and Lauren each donate $2 to Breast Cancer Research, the information is on the Jingle Belles Blog.

As I have said before I will print or stamp images to have on hand when I just want to do some colouring and this was one of the images in my "pile" I coloured all the ribbons in a darker pink and at random some of the presents are done in a light pink. Patterned paper is from Recollections. This is a Rocker Card and fits in a square envelope.  I am not good at meditating when I try I start thinking of my todo list but colouring has become my meditation I sometimes get so involved I don't hear anything.

This is the back of the card where I put the sentiment from Kraftin' Kimmie.

I was working on putting a video on to show the rocking but it isn't co-operating with a novice film maker.

I'm adding this to:

Frightfully Delightful

It's time for a new challenge at Shopping Our Stash and the theme is Frightfully Delightful so we want to see a frightfully cute ghost, skeleton, vampire, witch or anything you consider Halloween. I knew immediately I had to use one of my super cute Halloween house mouse images, and I found this one already stamped in my stash.

It's Maxwell dressed up Dracula and he is on a wobble. Super easy design I used a piece of patterned cardstock from DCWV Midnight spell matstack which is well over 5 years old, I also found some sentiments from Kraftin' Kimmie that were in my stash along with the black cat that is sitting on the fence. I have no idea when I bought the package of plastic Halloween pieces. I made a 5 1/2 inch square card The hardest part of the card was fussy cutting Maxwell.

Finished the inside with some patterned paper and a computer generated Halloween sentiment.

I'm entering this in

House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge ~~ Anything Goes Option Autumn or Fall.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you will join us in the gallery with your frightfully delightful Halloween projects.

Back to Books Reminder!!

Since I lost a week somewhere along the month and since I didn't get a card made for Shopping Our Stash Back to the Books challenge I decided to finish what I started and make it a reminder post. The Challenge is Back to  Books which means anything school, books or use a book page. I picked a favourite stamp store, House Mouse Designs, I didn't make a card I altered my date book which is something I usually do when I first buy my purse size date book but when I saw the challenge I knew I wanted to get 'er done.

Although the stamp is fairly new the Bo Bunny paper pad is ancient, I also used the original spellbinders oval dies and the date book is almost 1 year old but is still good for 2023, I have tried really hard to use my phone for appointments and reminders but I never hear them or pay attention so I'm old school with a planner.

Close up of the book loving mousie.

Closer look at the stitched Alph die cuts.

I am adding this to:

House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge ~~ ATG option Shaped card.

Thanks for stopping by today and you still have until Monday August 29th to add your project to Shopping Our Stash.

Christmas Flowers

Hello and welcome back to another fantastic challenge at Happy Little Stampers Christmas, the theme is always anything Christmas but if you are so inclined you can put a flower or flowers on your project.

I really tried to find another Christmas flower for the challenge, I had already made a poinsettia card but even google kept taking me to pictures of poinsettias. Although I had a hydrangea stamp I just wasn't sure if it would be accepted (even though it was on the list with Amaryllis, Christmas cactus and an Orchid. Sooooo Poinsettia it is.

I love taking pictures on the break wall of the beach although by the time I got my card done the  sky was overcast. This week working on my projects has become a comedy of errors, my planning skills seem to have disappeared over the winter and forgot inside sentiments so every card I made I have to remember to finish the inside I brought image stamps and birthday die cuts but tucked into a project case was a couple of dies one being PEACE and the other SNOW, I was in luck. The image I chose is from House Mouse Designs, my favourite guys, I worked with a couple of red markers on a practice stamped image, I didn't like the red at all, I ended up using E93, RV42 and R05 and I was happy.

Close up of the little critters.

Celebrating a Special Person.

It's time for a new challenge at Shopping Our Stash and the theme is What a Difference You have Made in my Life. Make a card for Mom, Grandma or a very special person. Now since I am the matriarch of the family I have no one to make a Mother's day card but I do like to make special cards, often with a fancy or fun fold for their Birthdays.

Of course I had to use a House Mouse Designs stamp I haven't used it much as I'm still working on blending and it's a picky one to do. Lots of shopping my stash here, the patterned paper is a paper pad I bought at Walmart about 10 years ago, The fold is a trifold.

Inside fold for putting sentiments on or more images if you want,

Here is a view of the whole card.

I'm adding this to the Challenge at:

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will shop your stash and join the fun at Shopping Our Stash for the challenge.

Something is a little Different at Shopping Our Stash!!

Challenge #468 is a SKETCH and a pretty good one, hope you like it.

I made a 5 1/2 inch square card to accommodate the size of the stamp which is from House Mouse Designs and I have had it for a few years and it has never seen ink  Now seeing the green strip of grass in the picture I am really not happy with it. I might have to change it as that is all I see when I look at the card and I have an idea but as all of you know blog posts have to be done ahead but if it works out you will see the "new" and "improved" card at the end.

The Sweet sentiment was die cut three times and glued together to elevate it.

And here is the new & improved (it has my approval now) card, ready to be hand delivered to a friend.

I added some dimensional strips to pop the layer up and added some green to the center section of the strip of white. I'm much happier with this card the sweet Monica on the Easter egg is the focal point.

Finished the inside of the card with a Happy Easter die cut and some super cute egg die cuts which it's my first time cutting them, next trip to the big shot I will dust the dies with a used dryer sheet so the little bits don't stick.

I will be adding this to:

NBUS ~~ Challenge #37.

Thanks for stopping by today and check out the MAIN BLOG to see how the rest of the design team have interpreted the sketch.

Spring is in the Air.

Spring is in the Air at Shopping Our Stash, but it certainly is not in the air here in South Western Ontario we just had three days of snow-showers, not much accumulation but it was like the storm was circling the city, clear for a bit then white-outs. At least it gave me some crafting time and this is what I made for the  challenge. For the challenge we want to see something with Wings on your project, birds, butterflies, bees, dragonflies lots of choices. My choice was a Hummingbird.

I used a House Mouse Designs wood mount stamp called Helping Hand and decided to use a favourite spring colour, purple. I did partial cutting so the hummingbird was partly outside the oval, The patterned paper I've had for a while it was  purchase from Dollarama mainly because of the purple designs and it's almost a cardstock weight. The layer and the oval were cut from........Stampin'up called Lavender lace now that is really digging into my stash.

Not sure why my close-up pictures are fuzzy and out of 3 programs not one has a spot to fix it. The image was popped up with two heavy cardstock ovals and a dimensional is under the wings.

Finished the inside with some scraps of paper and a Hero Arts vertical sentiment, one of the first ones I bought when I started stamping.

I'm adding this to:

Thanks for stopping by and head over to the MAIN BLOG and check out what winged creatures the rest of the design team have made.

Let it Snow!!!

A new month a new challenge at Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge, the theme is always everything goes but there is an option to feature Snowflakes on your project.

I can't believe January is over and we are on to February and it's a good time to make a "snow" card,  I just heard the weather report and we are readying ourselves for another storm, not sure where I'm going to put the snow as I'm not very tall and it's hard to throw the snow up on the already huge piles. Again it will be a good reason to stay inside and play catchup with some cards.  In keeping with the "snow piles" I picked a House Mouse Gruffie.

First I found a piece of oxide inked watercolour pa
per, looks perfect for a wintery sky, I stamped the Gruffie, coloured and fussy cut, he sure looks dangerously close to the edge of the precipice. Added a couple more snowbanks and Let It Snow is from Elizabeth Craft Designs and it was cut three times and glued together to give it a tiny bit of height.

Closer look at the Gruffie.

The sentiment is a Stampendous Cling Mount stamp.

My laptop has recently updated to Windows 11, it's been a learning curve, everything I do from putting photos on the computer to editing them has been very frustrating. The computer wouldn't even load Google Chrome, a lot of sites do not work well with Edge, in hindsight I should have clicked NO.

My Heart Beets for You....

Hello and welcome to a new challenge at Shopping Our Stash #463 My Heart Beets for You,  We want to see Hearts or vegetables or both on your project. Well I check my hoard of stamps and couldn't find anything that looked like a vegetable lots of fruit though, so I just went with a Heart.

I used one of my older House Mouse Designs wood mount stamps and dug into my scrap folder for the pink cardstock to use, cut with the original spellbinders large ovals and added three heavy cardstock ovals to elevate the image just a bit. Then added it to the Martha Stewart Valentine paper pad I found 3 or more years ago at Dollarams.

Finished the inside with some left over patterned paper and an ancient sentiment stamp from Inkadinkadoo.

House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge ~~ Anything Goes

Twas' the Night Before Christmas.....

Not a Creature was Stirring....that's the challenge at the Jingle Belles Rock Christmas Challenge.  I needed to feature a creature on my card so I picked 3.

I must admit I picked this image to add to U is for Under, I was so excited I finally managed one of the Alpha prompts and the challenge has ended, all is not lost the Jingle Belles had a challenge too that it worked for. I used a Happy Hopper, and the spellbinders Label 8 and fancy label 8 to cut them image and frame looking through my hoards of cardstock not one piece of red cardstock, I can see a trip to the craft store in the near future or I won't be making any red based cards. Now the fancy fram was cut from a metallic red cardstock from Michaels, it's shiny but not reflective. The mistletoe was coloured with spica glitter pens.

Inside was finished with a scrap of the red metalic paper and a sentiment from Impression Obssession.

4 challenges I'm adding this to:
o
Jingle Belles Rock ~~ Not a Creature was Stirring

Rudolph Days ~~ Octdober

Christmas Kickstart ~~ Make on for a Loved one.

House Mouse and Friends ~~ Anything goes.(option metallic, used a metallic frame)

Thanks for stopping by today and have a Happy Halloween,
