Challenge time at Clear it Out Tuesday..One for the Boys

Masculine cards oh how I stress over them, I much prefer to make the  pretty frilly feminine cards. Now upon saying this I am very excited about my card. Head over to the Clear it Out Blog to get all the details of the challenge and check out what the other Design team members have done for your inspiration.
The theme is to make a Boy/Man card the stash item is to use punches and/or die cuts. There are two sponsors of the the challenge they are QKR Stampede and Digital Darla Designs please check out their stores they both have great digital stamps.

I chose a vintage Ford, I have no idea the year but I think around 1920. I coloured with my prisma colour pencils and OMS, I even used my gold prisma pencil for the radiator. I cut the image out with my large spellbinders ovals. I used a fancy label die for my sentiment. The printed paper is from Far Far Hill. perfect for this challenge.
Supplies:
Image from QKR Stampede
Cardstock… Confetti natural, Early Expresso, Sahara Sand
Dies…Spellbinders Large oval, scalloped oval and fancy labels
Sentiment…. rub on from Stampin’up (after3 years I’m using them)
Thanks for visiting today and come back again soon and I hope you will get your crafty supplies out and join us at Clear it Out Tuesday for the challenge.

Second Week of the Sweet Challenge

We are starting the second week of the Sweet challenge  at The Cheerful Stamp Pad. The sponsor is Far Far Hill, check out the great background digi papers, they are great. I used one for my card, inside and out.
I chose a gatefold card with a twist since a gatefold would show off the digi paper from Far Far Hill. The cupcakes are also a digi image, I added some sparkle to the icing and cherry, then attached the pink bow to the front for some dimension. The sentiment is from Stampin’up and just goes right along with the image.

This is the closed card, the cupcake is on the left “gate” and the sentiment is on the right “gate”

New Challenge at The Cheerful Stamp Pad

Hi a new challenge is ready for you to play along with at The Cheerful Stamp Pad, So Sweet is the theme and what is sweeter than a cupcake? The “sweet” sponsor is Far Far Hill check out the free vintage papers, fabulous.
Before I show you my card for the So Sweet challenge I must tell you about the trials and tribulations of my journey to the finished card. It was Friday and we were heading to the cottage for the weekend and I was trying to print the image that I wanted to use and it wasn’t working so went to plan “B” cupcake images from Inkadinkado. I packed all the equipment I thought I might need to us better too much than too little, or so I thought. Stamped and coloured the image, had my circles, and my big shot, everything was cool until I realized, no ribbon hmm so found a scrap of green scalloped green, now it’s looking good. Then the big one………………..no pop dots. I then took a piece of cosmetic sponge, cut it in little squares added red line tape on both sides then added it to the images, voila’ it’s finished.
