Last Pink Christmas Card for the Cure.

The last two weeks have been very trying, although the weather is really balmy here in SWO I had already decided to close the cottage for the season and now I have to find homes for 2 of everything I use daily, I'm still dealing with fingers that are non-functioning (you have no idea how long it takes me to do my blog) then my dishwasher has something in the hose so I'm trying to find time to work on it before calling a repair man, Google has been helpful with videos, the refrigerator needs some attention too but probably should just replace it, and if you believe in things come in threes, my coffee maker just flashed me that I needed to descale it.

Here is the final of my three Pink Christmas Cards,  the September 2024 sheetload tutorial is a great sketch and it is a free download and the instructions clear and easy to follow, instructions for making a single card are there too. Alicia also has a you tube channel and you can follow step by step with her.

I am not sure of the maker of the sentiment but my guess is Stampendous, if you notice the patterned paper is different than any of the other pieces but this was the reverse of one of the pieces and I really liked it.

Thanks for checking my blog today.

Pink Christmas (for the cure) episode 2

Back again with my second card for the Jingle Belles Christmas Challenge, Pink Christmas and for every card both Stephanie and Lauren donate $2.00 Each toward Breast Cancer Research, I know more younger women and men are being diagnosed with breast cancer and because of early detection and research it is very treatable.

Here is the second of my trio of snowmen, I used the same sketch, same papers (the order in which the papers were layered are different and I changed up the placement of the sentient and image.

Finished the inside of the card with a Stampendous sentiment and of course changed the location of the circle to match the front image.

Again it's nice to have you visit come back any time there is still one more to come.

It is Pink Christmas time at the Jingle Belles ~~ Take 1

Finally made time to get some cards done for the Challenge at the Jingle Belles. both Lauren and Stephanie donate $2.00 each for every card posted on their blog, the money goes to Breast Cancer Research. As a survivor I like to make as many as I can, sadly I have only managed 3 cards so keep watching I will be posting a marathon for your viewing.

I was so enamoured with the September 2024 Sheetload of cards I just had to use it for some Christmas cards, 3 6 X 6 pieces of patterned paper and 3 8 1/2 X 11 pieces of cardstock and a bit of white and voila 3 adorable mini slimline cards. The stamps are ancient, a quatre of snowmen, I have used them every winter season for over 10 years. Let it snow was cut twice and layered for stability

On the inside I added an Impression Obsession holiday sentiment.

P is for Pink at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!!

Edna is inviting your to use PINK  now a thought is a pink Halloween, or pink Christmas (for the jingle belles) or pink thinking of October being breast cancer month. I chose the Pink Christmas for my card.

I must admit I missed the last challenge D is for Drunk and  I was prepared with this image for the challenge, but life gets in the way of crafting sometimes. So I figured it was perfect for this challenge I just had to change the olives to cherries for a Pink Lady. Of course we all know it's Stella from Bugaboo Stamps, Stella is perfect for snark but not today. Patterned paper is from Recollections.

Closer look at Stella and the faux cherries.

Finished the inside with leftover patterned paper and a sentiment from Kraftin' Kimmies

I'm entering this in:

The Jingle Belles Rock ~~ I'm Dreaming of a Pink Christmas.

Thanks for hanging out here for a bit today and if you want to see some snark head over to the Main Blog and check out what the rest of the design team have made to inspire you to join the challenge.

I'm Still Dreaming of a Pink Christmas.....

Back again as I got another card done for the Jingle Belles Rock Pink Christmas challenge, it's my favourite challenge of the year. Both Stephanie and Lauren each donate $2 to Breast Cancer Research, the information is on the Jingle Belles Blog.

As I have said before I will print or stamp images to have on hand when I just want to do some colouring and this was one of the images in my "pile" I coloured all the ribbons in a darker pink and at random some of the presents are done in a light pink. Patterned paper is from Recollections. This is a Rocker Card and fits in a square envelope.  I am not good at meditating when I try I start thinking of my todo list but colouring has become my meditation I sometimes get so involved I don't hear anything.

This is the back of the card where I put the sentiment from Kraftin' Kimmie.

I was working on putting a video on to show the rocking but it isn't co-operating with a novice film maker.

Pink Christmas at the Jingle Belles Rock Episode 2.

I'm back with episode 2 of the on-going marathon of Pink Christmas for the Jingle belles.  This time I made a Vertical Mini Slimline card .

I used another Bugaboo digital image, it's another favourite of mine which is brought into service every Christmas. The three images are perfect for a mini slimline (3.25 X 6.25 inches) The patterned paper is from Stampin'up and this is the last piece I could find.

Close up of the super cute center penguin block,

Finished the inside with a couple of scraps of cardstock (there was no patterned paper left) and another of a favourite Hero Arts vertical Christmas sentiment, it was probably one of the first stamps I bought when I started stamping over 20 years ago. Sorry my card is a more subdued pink than I had anticipated but wait for installment #3 later.

Thanks for checking back today and it's not over yet, stay tuned for the next instalment.

It's PINK Christmas time!!!

Every October it's Pink Christmas at the Jingle Belles Rock challenge, for every pink Christmas card in their gallery both Stephanie and Lauren each donate $2 for Breast Cancer Research. I am in a time crunch this year as I'm leaving for a holiday Tuesday and will be gone 2 1/2 weeks so it will be fewer cards this year from me. So please get busy and enter the challenge.

I used a digital image from Bugaboo Designs (sadly it is closed)  I use this image at least one a season,  I also used a paw prints die setit has the plain and fancy in three sizes. The patterned paper is from Recollections. The 6 X 6 paperpad works great when you make a 5 1/2 inch square card.

Finished the inside with a scrap of the patterned paper and very well loved sentiment from Hero Arts.

It's a Trifecta of Pink Christmas Cards.

Here is my third card for the Jingle Belles Rock Pink Christmas Challenge, Lauren and Stephanie donate $2 each for breast cancer research for every pink Christmas card posted on thier blog. There is still time to make and post a card before October 20 at 6.00 p.m. EDT.

This one was a bit difficult to photgraph ten again its way past sunset when I'm trying. I made a Mini Slimline card (3 1/4 X 6 14 inches) The snowflake panel is just perfect for  the size. The panel was cut out of silver metallic posterboard I bought at Len's Mills, has 5 different colour sheets in the package. The background for the panel is some pink glitter paper I bought at the local $$ store. The sentimen die cuts are Tim Holtz and were cut 3 times and glued together for dimenson. Background paper is from a Recolletions Sugar Bush paper pad.

Close up but the sparkle really doesn't show in the picture I also added rhinestones to the centers of the three snowflakes.

The inside isn't finihed net as the vertical sentiment I wanted to use is still at the cottage. Since I won't be spending any time there until spring I'm having a road trip to bring the last of the craft supplies home and get ready to drain the water lines on Sunday.

Pink Christmas installment #2

Back again with another Pink Christmas Card for the Jingle Belles Challenge, for every Pink Christmas card posted on the blog both Lauren and Stephanie donate $2 to breast cancer research. I am a bit behind my usual cards but there is still until Wednesday October 20 at 6 p.m. EDT. I have been known to slide in at 5.55 p.m

Well I might as well tell you this is a "sort" of cheat card, Fluffles was already coloured and the papers were picked and cut for a 5 1/2 inch square card and put aside to finish when I had some time. . I started out with pink die cut sentiments but after they were glued on you really couldn't see them so I cut another set and glued them on top, it also gave them some dimension.

Well I couldn't resist a close up of Fluffles, lets hope it's nothing breakable.

Finished off the inside with a Stampendous holiday sentiment and a few scraps of patterned paper.

Thanks for checking again and stay tuned there will be more.

Pink Christmas is the Challenge at the Jingle Belles.

So much to do so little time. It's turned pretty cool here in SWO but at least the sun is out now, I am so tired of the rain and damp weather. Although I have heat at cottage but it's just not fun when it's raining. A couple more trips to bring things home for the season and of course to drain the water and winterize it. I had an idea for my card but then
realized some of my Christmas things are not home and neither is my embossing equipment. I have doubles of a lot of things but a heat gun isn't one of them.

After many months of looking I found some metallic poster board at Len's Mills there are 5 colouts but unlide the ones I have bought at Dollar Tree one of the colours is deep pink not red.  I used Elizabeth Craft Designs Entwined Circles and the snowflake die from the sset as well. added a few rhinestones and a die cut JOY, the background was embossed with a Stampin'up sequin embossing folder

Finished the inside with an embossed strip and some leftover snowflakes. And a holiday sentiment from Stampendous.

A closer look so you can see the metallic die cuts are very pink.

My Last Card for Pink Christmas at the Jingle Belles~~

Well it's my last card because I'm almost out of time, it's 5 p.m. here in Ontario and the challenge closes at 6 p.m. my time.  But I am so happy I got it done and used some items that have been kicking around for a while.  It is a very CAS card for me but I'm happy with it, it is also an A6 card 4 X 6 inches.

I had cut a couple of these snowflake dies a while ago planning on layering them for dimension, which is what I did. I added a couple of layers behind it which also elevated the focal point. The rhinestones were coloured with a pink copic.

h

Close up to show the detail on the die.

I know I'm constantly complaining I took my stamps home and  can't finish the cards, but this time I remembered the Happy Holidays from Neat and Tangled dies, I won it in the 25 days of Christmas tags and I am not sure if I have used it before. I did add a pink rhinestone to the I as an afterthought, The snowflakes were from my little parts bin.

The Pink Christmas Marathon Continues.......

I'm back with my third card for the Annual Jingle Belles Pink Christmas Challenge.  I had a very good crafting day a it was cold and wet, just crafting weather, although Toto thought is was the best weather to spend as much lap time as she could.  I decided to take advantage of another week at the cottage,  It usually takes me three trips to get everything home. This weekend is #2 trip then I will know if there is going to be a day trip to pick up stragglers.  My card uses another oxide background that was in my stash and a very favourite A2 die.

I haven't decided if it needs a sentiment on the front or not, any ideas?  The birch tree die is from te Frantic Stamper the stag and cat were die cuts in my bits box as I had taken some of my dies home already, birds and deer dies were in that bunch.

I'm Still Dreaming of a Pink Christmas with the Jingle Belles!!

I said I would be back with more pink Christmas cards,  I made a few pink backgrounds quite a while ago with this challenge in mind and it was great I had them with me at the cottage, I decided another week would be nice, although today was a crafting sort of day, cold and wet but warm and toasty inside. Here is my card for the challenge.

I used my new A2 die to cut the frame out of silver,  layered it on a oxide background and added a JOY die cut to the center.

close up of the die cut and the inky background.

Now since I never thought to bring any inside sentiments with me (took them home two weeks ago) the inside  will have to be finished when I get home.
