Finally Fall!!
I don't think Edna is appropriately dressed for leaf diving and I'm not ready either.
I hope you can join the challenge and adorn our blog with some Fall Leaves.
First time all summer I have had a chance to take a picture by the lake, I especially like when I take photos of my Holiday cards.
My card is made with an embossing folder on brown cardstock and I used the metallic wax set with my fingers all over using the red, green and copper. I added it to a holographic layer then I had to decide if I wanted a red or brown base and as you see the red one.
On the inside I added a strip of holographic paper and a couple of leaves and a favourite sentiment stamp.
Thanks for stopping by and checking the new challenge at SoSS, don't forget to check out the blog and see the great leafy creations the design team have made.

Leaf Me Alone!!
Challenge #480 at Shopping Our Stash is Leaf Me Alone so we want to see Leaves on your project. I did some shopping my stash when I used some photo papers that I bought at a yardsale for 50 cents, they work great for alcohol inky backgrounds. Now my IO die set has been in a drawer for hmmm over 4 years never opened never used until now. First here is the inky sheets I made.
I made 4 sheets of the inky backgrounds. I have a extra large ziplock bag with a piece of cardstock zipped inside then scribble covering the bag with the cardstock as a guide, then spritz with rubbing alcohol and put the photo paper down on in (shiny side down) and pull it up it dries really fast too. When I got the bag out of it's "safe" place and started working I noticed a whole lot of teeth marks all over the one end of the bag, guess my hiding spot wasn't safe enough from my helper.
I dry embossed crumb cake cardstock with a fall embossing folder, "something" swirls. layered it on an Early Expresso mini slimline base, added a strip of brown to attach the leaves to and a vertical Happy Birthday diecut. This just might become my youngest grandson's card.
Closer look at the leaves and the EF.
Finished the inside with very vanilla, scrap of early expresso some extra leaves and one of my very first Hero Arts birthday sentiments. (very loved too)
I did finish the "A" planned card, what else would I do with mega leaf die cuts?
I used the same colours, leaves and embossing folder made a top loading A2 card. I attached the leaves to a circle and popped the whole circle up, the sentiment is an Impression Obsession die I've had for a while and never used it,
Closer look at the wreath of fall leaves.
Inside of the card I thought it would work for a Thanksgiving birthday, The circle is the large one from Elizabeth Craft Designs, I used the smaller one for the front then covered it up. Very vanilla cardstock and Versafine Sepia ink for the sentiment.
Thanks for completing the marathon of picture, glad you made it, now head over to the SOS Blog and check out the rest of the design team's projects.

You Don't Bring Me Flowers.....
Hello crafty peeps, Shopping Our Stash is having a new two week challenge....#457 You Don't Bring Me Flowers, easy peasy we want to see FLOWERS.
Going along with the theme of the challenge I thought the little mouse looked a little sad. Since it is still Fall I used fall colours, not one of my go to colours but it certainly is fall realated with the fall flower in a terra cotta pot. I made an easel card and used some patterned paper scraps from a "fail" but it had the perfect rust colour to match the wonky stitched frame I made with Gina Marie Designs rectangle dies. Happy Birthday is from Impression Obsession. I added three brown home made enamel dots I made 4 years ago one summer at the cottage.
Using an off cut from making a frame for another poject I stamped one of my favourite sentiments and added it to the back of the easel card.
Here is the card when it is closed for mailing.

It's a Triple "F" Day!!
Hello and welsome to my blog today, it's time for a new challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers.
As I said it's a Triple "F" day......Feline, Fluffles and Fall, and no snark.
As most of my friends/followers know Fall colours are never my go to colours but because I had and idea of the Triple F and wanted to use the fall flufles it had to be Fall colours, I decided to stay home from the cottage for the weekend hoping to play catch up with laundry, dishes and everything I've avoided, I know I want to make cucumber relish at the cottage next week so along with everything else I need to bring the sealers up and put them through the dishwasher. Back to the card....Fluffles and one layer is elevated with a couple of heavy cardstock pieces, I had a bit of an error and had to correct it with another layer, I even got my crop-o-dial corner rounder out to do the corners, dang thing is heavy.
The striped paper was in a loose pack and once you rip off the cardboard topper
you have no name. but the rust line matched perfect to my cardstock.
Close up of Fluffles and the leaves.
I finished the inside with off cuts from the front panels and of course all my good selection of Birthday sentiments are at the cottage. The card is 5 1/2 inch square.
I am entering this in:

It's Pumpkin Spice Season!!!
It's a new challenge at Shopping Our Stash and Donna picked the theme of It's Pumpkin Spice Season, which is appropriate since everything seems to have pumpkin and/or spice in it's name. The challenge might seem one note but you have lots of options, anything Autumn related, colours, images maybe a pumpkin too. I must admit Autumn colours are not my favourite but when pushed into using them I step up to the plate and close my eyes and make a project.
It really helps when you have some Bo-Bunny autumn themed paper, I picked this adorable Fluffles image jumping in the leaves. Happy Fall is one of a trio of Autumn themed digital images from Bugaboo.
Close up of the sentiment.
Finished the inside with a favourite all occasion sentiment from Printworks, a scrap of patterned paper and the last two of the trio from Bugaboo Designs.

More House Mouse.................
I'm so excited!! I have another card for House Mouse & Friends Monday challenge, I made it for a friend's birthday and now she has received it I can show everyone.
I had a lot of fun making this 5 1/4 inch square card and using fall colours. Mustard/orange/yellows are not my go to colours but with Birthday cards I like keeping in the theme of the month.
I carried the square stitched die cuts to the inside. The sentiment is one of my new ones I bought at the Butterfly Moon in Lyndoch (Delhi) it's from Printworks and it's good for any occasion that only comes once a year.

Shopping Our Stash #323 Give Thanks
Wow it's October!!! In Canada we celebrate Thanksgiving on the weekend and the big day is October 9th. This will be the first Thanksgiving in years it is just the two of us. Last week we had temps in the 30s celcius and last night there was a frost warning. Enough weather chit chat and on with the challenge. Shopping Our Stash give us many options for this challenge, a thank you card or something Thanksgiving themed. I decided just to make a Fall themed card which came about when I saw the super cute freebie digi at Bugaboo Designs on Friday. On with my project.
I'm not sure what you call this fold but I call it a trifold Z. The papers I used are a few years old but the Hello die is only 6 months old, but old considering the NBUS ones I have.
Here is the inside with the other two images that were a freebie from Bugaboo Stamps. I can't believe I have made a fairly CAS card (for me) when I printed the images off I was in a hurry and really didn't pay attention to the size until it was printed so I needed to separate them and give them a few layers to fill the card. You know when you have a plan then it becomes plan "B"
Showing the three images and how it folds.
A view from above showing the fold.
I would like to participate in these challenges
Catch the Bug ~~ Recipe challenge
One layer of paper, One sentiment, one embellishment
Just Us Girls ~~ Wild Card Week ~~ Word die cuts
Thanks for visiting today and Thanksgiving is getting close for us in Canada and the U.S.A isn't too far behind. Head to the Main Blog and see what the rest of the team have made for the challenge.

Shopping Our Stash #271 ~~ Apple for Teacher
It's fall and there is a bounty of vegetables and fruit out at the vegetable stands along the roads so this is the perfect time for the challenge at Shopping Our Stash, Apple for Teacher ~~ use fruits/veggies on your project or make a Teacher appreciation card. I knew I had the perfect image to use for the challenge and yes, it's a Happy Hopper. Let's have a peek at it.......
Perfect image for the challenge and I have had it a while along with the patterned paper. I used Elizabeth Crafts Fitted Frames ~ Curly Ovals
Since the oval die cuts 4 different shapes and sizes I used one on the inside along with a favourite sentiment.

Colour Challenge~~Orange at Clear it Out Tuesday!!
For me an Orange challenge is really a challenge but as a crafter we have to be diverse and do what is necessary. The sponsor is Meljen’s Designs and they are giving 4 images for the challenge. Head over to Clear it Out Tuesday and see the rules and get inspiration from the rest of the Design Team. Here is what I came up with for the Orange challenge and the Stash item is Orange things.
I chose this super cute Sunflower buggies image from Meljen’s Designs, of course had to do it in the traditional colour of sunflowers and the orange on the other flowers. My stash is the rhinestones and all the cardstock was in my scraps file folder. ( I use a hanging file folder box and have the colours separated into the hanging folders)
Since the image was larger than my largest rectangle die I fussy cut the bee out.
Some of my cards I like to keep without a sentiment especially if they can be used for a get well card as well as a birthday.and this one fits either perfect.
Thanks for stopping by today and hope you will find time to join us in the Colour challenge at Clear it Out Tuesday.

Sassy Studio Designs meets a great sketch
I wanted to join in the progressive challenge at Sassy Studio Designs on Facebook and it was closing on the 26th so quickly emailed for my image to use, this is a closed group, if you love Sassy Studio Designs please join. Today I received a reminder that I still had time to join Freshly Made Sketches, so wow got two “birds” with one stone.
Here in South Western Ontario we have had a lot of snow, and it is early so our “fall” is over as is Thanksgiving so I am using this for a Birthday card.

It’s the Second Week of the Thanksgiving Challenge at Clear it Out Tuesday
There is a second week of the Thanksgiving challenge at Clear it Out Tuesday, the stash item is a sentiment left over from another project. There are two sponsors for the challenge, Lacy Sunshine and Bugaboo, please visit their stores they both have awesome digis.
This week for the challenge I used an image from Lacy Sunshine it is Emily’s windy autumn day.

Isn’t this the most adorable face? Now to see the whole card……
This week for the challenge I used an image from Lacy Sunshine it is Emily’s windy autumn day.
Isn’t this the most adorable face? Now to see the whole card……
I coloured the image with prisma colour pencils and oms, the leaves were painted with my twinkling H20s. Since I got carried away sizing my image I didn’t have room for either of the stash sentiments, they were just too large. Since I am not really good with the rub-ons and while cutting out a section I have ended up with another stuck to my finger or the table so I managed to find a part rub-on….the word “friend” The flowers reminded me of sunflowers I didn’t have any brown brads but plan on adding brown centers to the flowers.
Supplies I used:
Image Lacy Sunshine
Cardstock…so saffron and turquoise, gp white
Tulip border embossing folder, flowers, buttons
part sentiment “friend”
Thanks for checking today and have a wonderful week.

Happy Pumpkin Season!!!!!
Happy Sunday, nice and warm and was sunny earlier and such a beautiful fall day. Traveling around Norfolk county there are rows and rows of pumpkins in the fields, I even saw a tractor with two trailers hooked to it just chocked full of pumpkins. So this is the Pumpkin Season. In a small town near us when we are at the cottage has a Pumpkinfest, prizes for the best decorated house….they know how to do it up big!!
I got this digi from Bugaboo on their Freebie Friday, and just ran out of time to get it finished for their challenge, story of my crafting life, usually a day late, but it worked perfect for a sketch challenge at Freshly made Sketches. The card is 5 1/2 X 5 1/2 inches square the patterned paper is from a prize I won at least a year ago.
Happy Crafting.

Although the calendar says Fall is here we are having wonderful weather in South Western Ontario, I love it, not too hot not too cool.
To celebrate Fall/Autumn House Mouse & Friends are having a challenge to use Fall themed or fall colour inspired projects. A number of the design team posted the image I thought about using so I went to my second choice. Just Dandy from 2009 featuring Monica.

Time for Fall Colours
Wow what a great colour challenge Orange and Brown, very basic fall colours. The challenge starts today November 14th and is open for two weeks, you will find it at Clear it Out Tuesday Challenge Blog. Are you up for the challenge? I hope to see your creation there.
I used Happy Scarecrow from Class Act Inc. a Canadian company located in Oshawa, Ontario. I coloured him with pencil crayons and oms. The brown layer is dry embossed with the Pumpkin Harvest cuttlebug folder. I made my tag starting with a rectangle and sliding it through the center of the largest die in the Big scalloped ovals so it only cut the top. I punched a hole in the top and threaded several lengths of fibers through and knotted them. Then layered the tag on the mulberry paper. I did a bit of distressing on the tag and layer.
Thanks for stopping by today and you have two weeks to get in on this challenge at Clear it out Tuesday Challenge Blog.
You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.' You must do the thing you think you cannot do.

Catching some Rays………….
The challenge at House Mouse and Friends is to make and Fall card, well what is more fall than SUNFLOWERS especially with a mouse sunning himself on it.
I coloured the image with pencil crayons and oms added some stickles to the flower. The base is Daffodil Delight, the layer is from a stack pack. I cut the image with the large circle and adhered it to the card. I cut the Old Olive cardstock with the large scalloped circle and the large inverted scalloped circle to make a “rick rack” border and popped it up to make a frame.
Our cottage is closed for the winter and it is so disappointing not to have that lovely greenery to use as a backdrop for my pictures, I need to do something to make everything more appealing. It’s so “blah” to take pictures inside.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful “fall” day.

Happy Hoppers and House Mouse are one of my favourite stamps your can find them at House Mouse.com, stop by there and see all of the cute stamps. This bunny image is the cutest thing I have ever seen. it’s called An Apple A Day. I coloured it with pencil crayons and oms The red layer is dry embossed with the tulips folder from Sizzix…..one of my favourite folders. This card was made for a one on one swap at Stamp in Canada for October, I also entered it in a Stamp TV challenge to use Red and Kraft. They have great weekly challenges and a lot of tutorials.

Autumn Leaves
I like autumn and I found this great challenge at Crop Stop and just had to find some time to “get it done”. You will see in the picture the crystal effects is not dry on the brown buttons in the right corner. I tried a new technique tonight called “Rock & Roll” it takes some dexterity with the fingers (one of the leaves has a little more roll) The button was cut with the sizzix button die, the faux brads were punched with the 1/2 “ punch.
I used the Stampin’up two step stamp set called Gently Falling, First I stamped the outline stamp in chocolate chip then inked the solid one in more mustard then did the rock and roll with cajun craze for one and old olive on the other.
Thanks for stopping by today and come back again, you are always welcome.

Fall Fun with Monica
Over at Stamp in Canada we have been having a one on one monthly challenge. This was made for the September swap. I sent to the person that signed up after I did and it was Margaret that was below me on the list. Of course as usual I had to make a House Mouse card. Now as most of my friends in the stamping group know, I am not fond of distressing but for some reason it just seemed to be calling to me to rough up the edges. Now I am very pleased with the finished card.
The colours I used were Close to Cocoa, a Stamping up retired colour, dp is from a stack pad I bought at Winners. The stamp is HMKR1045 Turning over a New Leaf from House mouse designs. The sentiment is from Hero Arts.I coloured the image with prismas and oms then coated the leaves with a glaze of white opal liquid pearl mixed with a bit of water. I cut the three three extra leaves out and popped them up along with the sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by today you are welcome here anytime.

A Penny Black Saturday Blog Challenge and I missed the deadline by 18 minutes.
I am so disappointed I didn’t get to put my card in for the challenge, something told me I should have glued it together last night but I didn’t. Well I like these little hedgie critters and I’ll post it for everyone to see. I will eventually put a Get Well sentiment on the front but of course I’m home for a couple of days and my punches at………….yup you guessed it…..at the cottage.
The base is close to cocoa (retired colour) the dp is from a DCW stack I bought at Winners The image of course is a Penny Black hedgie stamp and the layer is Crushed Curry (retired colour) I am trying to use up some of my scraps, the crushed curry was a mistake cut as I really wanted the Daffodil delight. I then used an expresso scrap and the new ribbon punch from Stampin’up to cut the little flowers on the ends.
Well here’s to me getting the next Saturday challenge that will be found here in before the deadline.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a beautiful day. You are welcome here anytime.
