Happy Valentine's Day

Hello family, friends and followers I thought I would show you the Valentine cards I made for my two great grandsons and a friend. They are all the same design but different images. All of them were made with Bugaboo Design digital stamps and valentine patterned paper I bought a couple of years ago at the Dollar store.

I finally got a chance to use my neverending circle dies, I bought them on sale at Winners and are just in a plastic bag. The card fold is a rocker card, I found the tutorial for it  on Butterfly Challenge at the top there is a tab Card Shapes.

Isn't that monkey cute, I love Bugaboo Design images. This one was for Will.

This adorable valentine bear was a Friday Freebie at Bugaboo Stamps, it was for Cal.

This is my youngest great grandson opening the envelope, He thought he could eat it.

Stick with me only one more.

Another adorable monkey from Bugaboo Stamps, I was trying to explain to a friend about making rocker cards and I wasn't really doing a good job, so I decided to make her one.
This is the sentiment I put on the back of the rocker part of the card on all three valentines.

I'm going to enter this in:

It's a Penguin Kind of Day!!

I don't think it's cold enough here in South Western Ontario for penguins it's above freezing and a misty/foggy/snowy day, the weatherman missed the mark on our "major" storm, then again the weekend isn't over yet. The month of January has just flown by and it's already a day past Rudolph Days but I was prepared this month and have a card already.

Now are those not the cutest penguins playing in the snow? These guys are from Bugaboo Digital Stamps. The wonky frame is from Gina Marie designs. Patterned paper is some I bought at Scrapfest last April.

Close up of the trio. I did give the accessories a "wink" of stella.

The base is a piece of Kraft cardstock and the scalloped layer both were leftovers from another card. The sentiment is from Hero Arts and has become my new fav.

I am adding this card to:

Shopping Our Stash is feeling the Winter Blues.............

Challenge 412 at Shopping Our Stash is Winter Blues we want you to create a winter blue card or a card that is predominately blue.  This was a much easier one for me than last challenge can you believe I had nothing in the line of gnomes and besides that I'm struggling to do any creating, it literally took me 75% of the day to make my card and the image was already coloured.  Finally I found a sketch at Sunday Stamps that pushed me to get the project done. So here is my Winter Blues card.

Very stash bustin' card here, With all the cardstock the only one I had to get a fresh 8 1/2 X 11 piece, the rest was from my hanging file folders that hold my off cuts. The patterned paper I think might be bo bunny and my last one of this design. The blue and white baker's twine I haven't a clue when I bought it. The sentiment is a Tim Holtz Christmas sentiment package I have just opened and I think I've had it for a year.

Close up of the super cute Bugaboo image. I used wink of stella on the snow and hi hat.

Finished inside with a Hero Arts sentiment (a prize from the Jingle Belles)
Now thinking about the sentient it hasn't been fun here in Canada, lots of snow and very cold temperatures, It's a wonderful time of the year....to stay in and craft.

I am entering this in these challenges.

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer!!

Now that you are humming that Christmas classic tune on to the card!! My reason for it is two fold, Christmas in July Week long event at Catch the Bug and July Rudolph Days,  Here is my card for Day 7 of the event,

I used a bugaboo image coloured and fussy cut and place them on the red panel, since it was a colour challenge I added the green plaid background. The Movie Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer.

I love this week and had many thought to play along but crafting was not on my radar for last week I am happy to at least have gotten one card done.

Three for the Money!!!

It seems like I have been working on this card forever, it was 3 or 4 days, some days nothing goes right so you put it aside and then sometimes life gets in the way and commitments happen. Yahoo it's finished!! It's for 3 of a kind at the Jingle Belles, my second card for the challenge, so I'm on track for my one a week.

I have had the image coloured for several weeks and finally did something with it, I really wanted a doily behind the kitties but my doily die was MIA (since found it too) So looking through my box of "diecuts" I found this wreath cut in stardream white. The cute little Christmas kitties are from Bugaboo Designs. Every Friday they post a free image for you to use, how cool is that?

I carried the patterned paper to the inside and use an Artful Stamper sentiment.

Catch the Bug Holiday Chaos Challenge ~~ Day 6 ~~ colour challenge

I'm finally caught up until morning!!! I have had fun playing along this year and so far I have used all Bugaboo images.  I'm not fond of colour challenges when they have mega colours, I prefer ones with only three or four but I found a patterned paper that had mega colours and they matched. Have a peek.

Now this moose is just adorable with all those baubles hanging from his antlers and a moose is very Canadian which is why I added the  sentiment ~ EH?

I coloured the baubles with spica glitter pens to give them som sparkle.

I couldn't resist using the sentiment from High Hopes because we are Canadian.

Thanks for stopping today to check out my blog, one more challenge tomorrow and it's Freebie Friday!!!

Catch The Bug Holiday Chaos ~~ Day 4 ~~ Bingo

For Tuesday's prompt I chose another Bugaboo image, I had printed and coloured a few to have on hand when I was doing a tag challenge and some just because I wanted a few extra cute cards for the Holidays.  The challenge for day 4 is Bingo and I chose Die cut/3 layers/ribbon it could also qualify for Sentiment/Free/3 layers and the bottom row too Plaid/bugaboo/ribbon when I think about it the only item that isn't on my card is the pearls.

Plaid ribbon, sentiment (Kraftin' kimmie) traditional colours and for me as always 3 or more layers and last but not least it's a Bugaboo Stamps image.

Close up of the sentiment.

Catch the bug Holiday Chaos ~~ Day 4 ~~ Bingo

Thanks for joining me here today and have a creative day!!!

Day 5 of the Holiday Chaos at Catch the Bug..............

Day 4 will follow soon, I think with having 3 images coloured I got confused on the days well I know it won't be far behind. Again I used a Bugaboo Image, one I've had printed for a while since I know who I'm sending this card to.

What could be grumpier than a grumpy kitty with "hubby's" favourite Christmas saying .

Close up of grumpy kitty

The sentiment was computer generated and cut out with Stampin'up's word bubbles.

Catch the Bug Holiday Chaos Day #2 ~~ A Sketch

As usual I'm a bit behind on my days for Catch the Bug Holiday Chaos.  I love a good sketch and the prompt for Day 2 (Sunday) is a really good sketch. although I took a few liberties with it you can see the sketch.

I love this snowboarder from Bugaboo Stamps, I have used it many times and never get tired of colouring him up.

I sparkled up the white part on his hat and used paper glaze from Plaid on his protective goggles.

Elizabeth Craft Designs die  let it snow was used for the words.

Last half of the sentiment die cut from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Shopping Our Stash Challenge #324 ~~ If the Shoe Fits..............

Mimi at Shopping Our Stash has a fabulously fun challenge this week!!! If the Shoe Fits....and there are so many finishes to this one, a couple come to mind..."wear it" and "buy it in every colour"  but surfing for some inspiration I found a new one.

The shoes are from Bugaboo Stamps, I've had this digi for a long time and I think it's perfect for the challenge, I figured they deserved some sparkle so I coloured them with spica glitter pens. The card is 5 1/4 inches square and black, white with a touch of colour is always fashionable and who can go wrong with polka dots!!! although the picture doesn't show them I added some holographic dots to some of the "dots" I tried to take a picture but they just wouldn't co-operate.

check out the sparkle on those shoes!!!

Finished the inside with a Printworks sentiment and a scrap of patterned paper.

Shopping Our Stash #323 Give Thanks

Wow it's October!!! In Canada we celebrate Thanksgiving on the weekend and the big day is October 9th.  This will be the first Thanksgiving in years it is just the two of us. Last week we had temps in the 30s celcius and last night there was a frost warning. Enough weather chit chat and on with the challenge. Shopping Our Stash give us many options for this challenge, a thank you card or something Thanksgiving themed. I decided just to make a Fall themed card which came about when I saw the super cute freebie digi at Bugaboo Designs on Friday.  On with my project.

I'm not sure what you call this fold but I call it a  trifold Z. The papers I used are a few years old but the Hello die is only 6 months old, but old considering the NBUS ones I have.

Here is the inside with the other two images that were a freebie from Bugaboo Stamps. I can't believe I have made a fairly CAS card (for me)  when I printed the images off I was in a hurry and really didn't pay attention to the size until it was printed so I needed to separate them and give them a few layers to fill the card. You know when you have a plan then it becomes plan "B"

Showing the three images and how it folds.

A view from above showing the fold.
