O is for Over the Hill at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!!!

Happy Saturday and can you believe it's the end of June, wow. Here in Canada July 1st is Canada Day and a long weekend. Not to be outdone the U.S.A. celebrates Independence day on July 4th so celebrations all around. The challenge for the next two weeks is O is for Over the Hill now isn't that an invitation for some snark, and I didn't disappoint.

Next to Stella my next favourite "old" gals are the Girlfriends from Art Impressions, the sentiment is also from AI

there is the sentiment, those ladies are really laughing it up.

The sentiment is from Hampton Art and since it isn't showing well in the picture here is what it says/
We'll be friends until we are old & senile, then we'll become new friends.

Let it Snow!!!

Hello friends, family and followers I'm back again with a third card for the Jingle Belles White Christmas challenge. I love white on white and I had way too many ideas for the challenge so I had to make one more, if I had more time I might have even made a fourth.

The picture is not the best but the background is "softly falling" embossing folder from Stampin'up,  I added some fun foam behind the bottom panel to give some dimension and the Let it Snow is from Elizabeth Craft Designs and was cut three times and layered to give some elevation. The tree line and the curved dies are unmarked ones.

Closer look at the tree line and sentiment.

Finished inside with a retired sentiment set from Stampin'up.

I'm entering this in:

Happy Little Stampers ~~ ATG with dies

So happy to see you here again. have a fabulous week.

Finally Summer....and a New Challenge at Shopping Our Stash!!!

Shopping Our Stash challenge #360 is in Honour of Canada Day and Independence Day (U.S.) use red white and blue, one two or all three. Since I am Canadian and July 1st is Canada day I went with Red and White!!!.

Very simple and easy card today, The daisy border I've had for a while now along with a butterfly border one as well neither have been used. The sentiment is from Hero Arts and is one of the first birthday sentiment I bought when I first started stamping over 15 years ago. the rhinestones also from my stash, they were clear but I coloured them with an alcohol marker.

Close up of the flower border.

Since the sentiment is on the front I just put a birthday greeting o the inside.

Thanks for visiting today and if you haven't checked out the main blog head over and see the awesome projects the rest of the design team have made and whether they used red? white? and/or blue? perhaps all three?

Guess what Day it is!!! It's Rudolph Days!!

I'm right on time with Rudolph days for June....from the 25th to the end of the month, which is June 30. I have paired it up with the current Jingle Belles challenge ~~ White Christmas and it's another square card.

I was inspired by Stefanie's wreath card for the Jingle Belles and knew I just wanted to try one. I cut the wreath once in silver and once in shimmer white.  I really wanted to either put poinsettia brad or red cardinals on the wreath but of course I had to follow the rules.  Peace is a IO die and is cut out of silver., (hope it's acceptable)

Peace is glues on the ends but elevated in the center.

the cardinals are also an IO die and they come in two sizes so I put the smaller ones on the inside.

Challenges I'm entering:

Jingle Belles Rock ~~ White Christmas

Winter Wonderland ~~ Square Cards only

Thanks for checking today, I've got a really great stash of Holiday cards and more to come.

House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge #269 ~~ Anything Goes option Back to School

Here in Canada school isn't out for the summer yet but there is an option to make a back to school project and have it ready, or just go with the Anything Goes as long as it has a house mouse, happy hopper or a gruffie on it. This is my last challenge as guest designer at House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge I guess all good things have to come to an end. I decided my image really needed to be a square card (been into squares lately)  I only have one stamp that can pass for "back to school" so I went with it.

First thing I thought was primary colours red, blue and yellow and I love my stitched square dies and the fancy square that goes with them. Of course I had to do a tiny bit of fussy cutting to make the image fit in the square. The embossing folder is sequins, I love the way they are random.

Monica is Taking Notes but if you look closely Monica is writing out lines. How would you have had to finish the line I Will Not..........

No appropriate sentiment to put in the inside but I used one of the 7 POP stamps I bought at the Butterfly Moon  they are so adorable, some are a miniature of larger stamps and will be awesome to use on envelopes and on the inside. You are going to see lots of these adorable little critters. (they are clear stamps they have critters & sentiments.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you keep checking to see what I have been up to. It has been a fantastic 3 months and now I can go back to just playing the challenges.

I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas ~~ with the Jingle Belles

I love the "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas" prompt at the Jingle Belles Rock and I have a card made already!!! It's self explanatory ~~ make a white on white card and I did.

A white square base, all the rest is done with white shimmer cardstock.  Poinsettias are a Boss-Kut die, the centers are from Lana, Peace is cut three times and layered and is an Impression Obsession die.  The postage stamp square is a generic die and the white lace is from Crafts (dollarama)

Close up of Peace and those centers really sparkle but sadly don't show up in the picture.

Finished inside with a Stampendous sentiment.

Challenge #359 at Shopping Our Stash ~~ She's a Crafting Machine!!!

Mimi want's us to be Crafting Machines for challenge #359 at Shopping Our Stash, so get out those die cutting machines and dies, sewing machines, zyron perhaps your embossing machine to make a project for the challenge. This was an easy challenge, the hardest part was figuring  out what I was using. I'm at the cottage and my sewing machine is a very small one, just does one stitch and I really need practice with it, so I used my big shot and a couple of dies.

I used Elizabeth Craft Designs scalloped frame, Elizabeth Craft Design Stitched ovals and a generic butterfly die. Pearls from my stash I added to the butterflies and flowers.

Close up of the butterflies and other die cuts. I did leave the inside blank as I need a few "can be used for any occasion" cards on hand and I think this fits the bill.

If you haven't been to the Main Blog head over and check out what the rest of the design team have used for their crafting machines. Everything I used I've had for at least a year even the cardstock.

thanks for visiting and I'm looking forward to commenting on your projects for our challenge.

closer look at the quote.

left over patterned paper and more black & white, the sentiment is also from So Suzy Stamps.

Still Jingling along with the Jingle Belles!!!

I coloured the image a week ago while I was at the cottage, I did three images but only finished two so today I finished the it and I'm hoping I'm not too late to add it to the challenge. So my post will be a bit short.

The stamp I used is from House Mouse Designs, coloured with alcohol markers and the bells were sparkled up with a wink of stella.

Finished the inside with a jingle sentiment and some leftover patterned paper.

House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge #268 ~~ Anything Goes/Birthday

Welcome to another fabulous challenge at House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge!! This is my 6th blog post as Guest Designer, I have had so much fun creating with my favourite stamps. As always it's Anything goes as long as you use a house mouse, happy hopper or a gruffie on your project, there is always an option and this challenge it's "Birthday" how easy peasy is that!!!.

The stamp I used is Bug Off  I made a 5 1/2 inch square card and it's a Double Z fold I found the tutorial on        The patterned paper is from Hero Arts Kissing Booth, I love this paper pad and it's my second one as I used the other up.  Happy Birthday is from Party Panda from SU.

Close up of Muzzy in the flower. I added stickles to the grasshopper's wings and the action marks.

Cards partially open, the inside sentiment is from Printworks

The second sentiment is from Stampendous and is part of the House Mouse line.  This was a very fun and easy fold to do.

Thanks for visiting me today to see what I have made for my Guest Designer spot at House Mouse and Friends Monday challenge.  I hope you can find some time to create a project with one of the super cute critters from House Mouse Designs, there are prize too.

Jingle All The Way!!!

Jingle Belles Rock the Christmas Bells!!! I'm so happy to be able to create a second card for the challenge. I decided the Fluffles stamped image really needed to be "square". Fluffles is one of the older stamps I have and sadly they are discontinued they were from Stampendous.

This is as CAS as you get from me!!! I now see how much "white" space there is in the background even though it's striped.

Close up of my trio of bell ringers.

Finished inside with some left over patterned paper and a Impression Obsession sentiment.

Jingle Belles Rock the Christmas Bells

I did some crafting over the weekend but had to wait to post the card as the sketch I used was incomplete so I had to wait until I was home with my snowflake punch and of course a Christmas sentiment. I'm really trying to keep up with the Jingle Belles but it has been difficult with all the appointments and luncheons not that I'm complaining about meeting with friends for lunch but all our appointments seem to be pooling the same month, once over the summer is mine. Anyway the challenge at the Jingle Belles is "Christmas Bells oh! those Christmas belles" and I found a great sketch from Christmas Card Throwdown and it was perfect for the image I chose.

Of course a super cute image from House Mouse Designs, I think this is the first time I have used this "new" to me stamp.  My picking of items to take to the lake seemed to work well other than the two snowflakes for the embellishments for the sketch.

Close up of the super cute mousie I think it is mudpie (stamp still at the lake)  check out his paperclip skates.

Finished inside and one more for my stash.

Thanks for stopping by today and check back again soon I have a few more "bells" in my stash.

Here are Some of My Favourite Things.............

Challenge #357 at Shopping Our Stash is My Favourite Things. We would like to see some of your favourite things, stamps, paper, embellishments, techniques, colours are a few suggesitons. I went with my favourite colour and my favourite stamp company!!!

As you can see I'm a House Mouse lover and this is Nature's Energy Drink with Muzzy and my favourite colour is Purple, any an all shades of purple. I cut both image and purple layer with a set of dies I've had for over a year and I'm not sure if they have ever been used. I don't have the name of them but call them wonky stitched rectangles.

As you see I was down on the breakwall taking the pictures and it was very windy so I'm lucky the pictures turned out as well as they did.  This is the finished inside with the only birthday sentiment I brought with me.

Old stuff I used up:
Last sheet of Elegant Eggplant
Retired light mauve (lost the name)
plastic dots circa 2016

/Thanks for visiting today and head over to the main blog and see what the rest of the design team favourites they have used.

Y is for Yummy at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!!!

Wow it's hard to believe it's June, so happy to be rid of the Winter and now it's Summer other than the spring flowers there wasn't much Spring.  Challenge #111 at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers is Y is for Yummy ~~ we want to see something YUMMY on your project.  My Yummy is chocolate cake!!!

I have lots of yummy cupcake/cake stamps but for the bit of snark I have on it I went with Girlfriends from Art Impressions and the sentiment is from the same set. These old gals are so much fun.

Finished inside, hmm might add some polkadot paper to the inside  now that I see it on the blog, it seems to need a tad bit of something. The sentiment is from Stampworks and one of three awesome birthday wishes stamps.
