L is for Liquor

I haven't managed to post anything for the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers in a while, Life got in the way and for some unknown reason my idea for the challenge never happened until it was too late to make it. This time I had an idea, and it was in time to make a card, "bonus" so without whining any longer about my lack of mojo....here is my card for L is for Liquor.

This is a Sassy Studio digital image I must have printed last year for a new years card? who knows not me but when I saw it in my stack of printed/stamped images I knew it was perfect for the challenge. I'm not sure the martini is "dirty" enough but didn't want to ruin the image.

Close up of the sentiment

Another angle and the inside isn't finished yet.

Thanks for visiting today and don't forget to head over to the MAIN BLOG and see what the rest of the design team have made.

I like to Move it, Move it!!! Challenge #332 at Shopping Our Stash.

What a fabulous challenge at Shopping Our Stash ~~ Move it, Move it!!! (include something that moves on your project ~ Shaker, wobbler, slider, googly eyes. easy peasy right?  Since I'm still in Christmas mode I made a winter wobbler card.

Silver and blue one of my favourite pairings, Olaf is a digi from Sassy Studio designs. The background is embossed with a cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder, I got it before I even had a die cutting machine, everything except the let it snow is 4 to 15 years old.

Since I used a wobbler I tried to get a picture of how it moved (if I could have figured out how to take a video I would have.)

Finished the inside with a simple sentiment.

I would like to enter this in:

Shopping Our Stash challenge #236 ~~ Inspired by a Book

Looking for my Clear it Out Tuesday post? Scroll down or click HERE.

Have you read any good books lately? You are in a good place to join Shopping Our Stash for the newest challenge, Inspired by a Book. I haven't done a lot of reading in the last couple of years, the last book I read was (keep it under your hat) 50 shades of grey, but I already did a challenge for that one. What a time I had picking a book and I took the easy route and chose "The Little Mermaid" as I had a freebie image from Sassy Studio design Facebook page. So here is what I made.

First I coloured the image with Yellow Rose, Sunflower and Persimmon twinkling H2os and fussy cut her out, I had a scrap of shimmery grey I thought would be a great rock for her to sit on. Next on to the background, I'm not sure if the technique has a name but I scribbled blue and green copic markers on a huge plastic bag, spritzed it with rubbing alcohol and put the shiny cardstock on it, the rhinestones were left overs from "My Precious" challenge card and the butterfly was sitting on my table.

close-up of the image and the background.

I was in a hurry and didn't stamp the sentiment on the inside, but it's ready for one.

Thanks for visiting today and don't forget when you enter the Inspired by a Book challenge remember to tell us what book, not all will be as obvious as mine LOL. Check out the rules at the main blog and while there check out what the rest of the Design Team have been inspired by.

BONUS CHALLENGE!!! Shopping our Stash is joining the Jingle Belles.......

Again this year Shopping Our Stash is joining the Jingle Belles for a Winter challenge.  Your project must use items that are at least a year old and tell us what it is.  I was so excited about the challenge I brought many, many sets of stamps and digi images to the cottage to work on them (I thought I needed two) it helps to read closely when checking challenges out. I finally decided on a digi image I got last  year from Sassy Studios, it is Olaf from Frozen, I showed the finished image to hubby and he thought is was a ghost from Casper,  On to more of the challenge...,this is a "twofer" you can put your finished project on both challenge blogs, that's double chances to win,

I made a side step card, this is the first time I have made this by myself and I didn't mess up any cardstock....bonus. The snowflakes are from Stampin'up they also have a die to cut them with and it's the first time they have been used and they are over a year old.  the sentiment came with the super cute image. His buttons I made with  gluing 3 punched circles together and covering them with crystal effects, tiny rhinestones were used for the centers of the snowflakes and a touch of stickles, hope it shows up.

I fussy cut Olaf and popped him up

Thanks for stopping by today and lets get a jump start on those Christmas/Winter card and join the challenge at Shopping Our Stash and the Jingle Belles.

For my project I used a Sassy Studio Designs image sassy girl on a present. The sentiment was computer generated.  I had my image coloured and cut out for over a week but I couldn’t think of a sentiment and it wasn’t until tonight I found something that went with my image. So here is mine……..

Since I was running very very late this is very simply done and in traditional Christmas colours.

Time for a few Snowflakes……………

We had more than our fair share of snowflakes this morning, of course it melted a bit yesterday and now there is ice in spots and quite slippery. For several years now I have been going to enter cards in Christmas Cards all Year Round, it’s such a fabulous idea and a great start on holiday cards. I used a Sassy Studio Designs and that is who the sponsor is for this month’s challenge.
IMG_1984
I used brilliant blue cardstock and embossed it with a Christmas embossing folder (first time too) I had the white floral oval in my scrap box so popped it up on the  blue, I fussy cut the image and elevated the image on the oval, added some snowflakes and the Merry Christmas, the “fur” is opal liquid pearls and there is a dot of stickles in the center of each snowflake.
IMG_1985
This is the inside, the embossed piece was also in my scrap box, My Christmas sentiments were not readily available so will finish this later.
I'm entering this in teh Blue & White challenge at Christmas Cards all year 'Round.
and in CHNC February Extra Anything Goes as long as it's Christmas.

Thanks for checking out my blog today and I hope you find time to do something fun!!
