Time for a Back to School Challenge at Clear it Out

It’s getting close to the time where the students in Canada will be going back to school, a lot of the U.S. students have already started their school term so it’s appropriate to have a Back to School challenge. Check out all the rules at Clear it Out Tuesday’s Blog
The stash item is chipboard, they come in all shapes and sizes, I have a stash of them but have never used any until now. I am looking forward to getting some other ideas when you join the challenge.
We have three sponsors again this week, an “old” favourite Digi Darla Designs. QKR Stampede  and back again is Limited Runs digital stamps. Check out all the great digital stamps they have to offer.

The image I used is from QKR Stampede, coloured with my prisma colour pencils and oms, I cut the image out and layered it on a blue  circle. My stash item is the chipboard buckle that is holding the ribbon. I decided to make my image and sentiment into a Bookmark Tag. I left room for the recipient to put his/her name.
Supplies
Image…..Limited Runs
Cardstock…..Crumb cake, bashful blue, GP white
Patterned paper….from Stampin’up stack pad.
Accessories…spellbinder circle, White satin ribbon, Chipboard buckle
Thanks for looking today and lets see your Back to School project using some chipboard.
Happy Crafting

Brand New Challenge at the Drunken Stamper’s blog!!!

Wow another week has just flown by, still having some nice weather, I think that is about to turn into “ducky” weather. It is also time to close the cottage for the winter, just a little too cold for me.

The challenge this week is to make a card with a secret, doesn’t that sound intriguing, you will find all the information about the challenge at the Drunken Stamper’s Challenge Blog.

I made a simple Birthday card although it took me long enough to finish it. The embossing folder is from Stampin’up and I added some rhinestones to the centre if the flowers. Added some polka dot ribbon and a peel and stick sentiment. I have not used them much except in class. The cardstock is pretty in pink from Stampin’up.  Now for my secret you will have to scroll down to find out what it is.

A bookmark is hidden in the slot in the front of the card. I put a pink brad and a scrap of the same polka dot ribbon as a pull tab to remove the hidden sentiment.
Thanks for visiting today and don’t forget to stop by the Drunken Stamper’s challenge blog found HERE and join in the fun.

Last week’s Stamp TV challenges

While waiting for the mood to hit me to finish the ATC swap I thought i would post the two challenges I did for Stamp TV. The first one was Friday’s Free for  All,  a bookmark challenge, you could make a corner one, a regular book mark or a card with a book mark. I used some shiny paper and stamped Garden Collage on it with stazon timber brown then sponged three colours of dye in on it, finished with some fibres  and beads.

The Mix it up Monday challenge last week was to make a striped background, of course I was home and my markers were at the cottage so I just got  it finished about an hour ago. I used a lot of scraps to make the card. The image was painted with twinkling H20s and already cut out, even the base and the cardsttock for the striped layer was out of my stash. It was fun to make. Thanks for stopping by and come back again, there are lots more challenges in my plans for this week.
