Shopping Our Stash Says to Make it Shiny!!!

If you are looking for my Clear it Out Tuesday post scroll down or just click HERE.
Are you ready for a Challenge? well Shopping Our Stash has one for you!!! Just dig through that stash of shiny things and put them on your project. I really did some digging to fins my shiny paper, I don’t even remember when I bought it, the glitter cardstock is a year old. I used a digital image I had from The Stamping Chef self named a funny, quirky smexy bunch.  I used Glitter ritz cool tone on her wings and added a tad of stickles to her dress. Now her she is……
IMG_1949
Not much of the shine shows in this picture. I added a few flowers with rhinestone centers for added bling.
IMG_1950
Live writer seems to be fighting me tonight so this picture is not going to be enlarged, I hope you can see the fine glitter on her wings.
IMG_1951
The inside not totally finished but i think it shows how shimmery the background paper is.
Thanks for checking out my blog today and I hope you find some time to shop your stash and enter in the “shiny” challenge.

The Tropical Hooters Challenge is a Place….Paris

Okay I know it’s not my week for the challenge (I’m a Yellow Canary) but I so wanted to play, I had an image from The Stamping chef and I just HAD to use it. The challenge theme is Place and the place is PARIS, now there all so many things you can do, romance, April in Paris or just the Eiffel tower the ideas are endless. I have a 12 X 12 patterned paper pad that is just travel, there was one sheet that has the Eiffel tower and I used it for the background paper, I coloured the image with my prisma pencils and oms and fussy cut it out, flat attached it to the paper. I had some stickers in my stash I can’t even remember when I bought them, so I added PARIS to the left and some bling to the right. Head over to the Drunken Stampers Challenge blog for all the important information and check out what the Tropical Hooters have made to inspire you.

Clear it Out Tuesday’s Challenge #39 Thank-You

Hi,  welcome to a new challenge at Clear it Out Tuesday the theme of the challenge is Thank You and the stash item is something you have been saving because you haven’t found the right place for it. Most of my stash is things I haven’t found a place to use it. The challenge is for two weeks and we have three sponsors again this week that means a triple chance to win. Stamping chef, Bugaboo, and Lacy Sunshine are all fabulous sponsors and are very generous with their prizes.
My image is from the Stamping chef, I chose it because it is a cause close to my heart. I made this for my very dear friend Lynn that is having chemo for cancer.  I am so glad she is a FIGHTER!!
Clear it Out Thank you
The image is coloured with prisma pencils and OMS, I painted the wings with Silks acrylic glaze, Ice it gave them a nice shimmer. The cardstock I used is bashful blue, pacific point and GP white  My stash item is the rhinestones on the edge, I have had them for 3 years and finally found a sketch I could use them in. I also used some tiny sticker aphas to spell out. Thanks for being strong.

Finally my card for the Clear it Out Tuesday Challenge

What a week, Monday evening I went to my e-mail program and I was expecting a notification of a delivery and there was an e-mail about a delivery……….sadly it was a fake virus protection that immediately locked everything up. It took over the Avira and the Malebytes programs. My mail and both browsers. Long story short it needed some work. Took it in Tuesday and picked it up this morning. Now I’m paranoid about my mail. The tech said it was one he hadn’t seen before. I have a blackberry playbook which kept me up to date.
The challenge at Clear it Out Tuesday is “Summer Vacation” your stash item is Rub ons or Stickers. What an easy peasy challenge. The sponsors for the challenge are Bugaboo, The Stamping chef and our newest sponsor Lacy Sunshine Stamps. All the information about the challenge and prizes are on the Clear it Out blog, when you are there check out all the other design team members cards.

My image is from Bugaboo, it’s been so long I can’t remember the name of the digi. I thought he was a cool character and it reminded me of being at the lake. My stash item is the Rub-on from a “chit chat” package at least 3 years old and not many were used. Summer is a left over from another challenge along with the flip-flop background paper and is from McMahon Five Designs.
Thanks for checking out my blog today. Head over to Clear it Out Tuesday and join in the fun. lets see your idea of Summer Vacation.

Mid-Week inspiration for Clear it Out Tuesday!!

There is still another week to enter your project on the Clear it Out Tuesday Challenge Blog. The theme is Make Someone’s Day and make it sparkle. Use up some of that glitter that is on the shelf or your stickles that are in the cupboard, you could even use some of the glitter cardstock that you just had to have every colour of. The sponsors are Bugaboo and The Stamping Chef, please visit their stores they are fabulous sponsors and are very generous too.
If you follow my blog you know I’m at the cottage for the week, woohoo but it does present some obstacles, dial up for one take three times longer for me to do most things and lack of crafting supplies. I had a minor meltdown when I thought I didn’t have any glitter in the “box” How could I do a card where the stash item is glitter/bling? but on checking my tote (I take it to classes) there was a large bottle of Ice Stickles in a pocket.

Mid-Challenge time at Clear it Out Tuesday..masculine

There is another week for you to join in the Masculine/Father’s Day challenge at Clear it Out. Stash item is METAL and there are two sponsors Bugaboo and The Stamping Chef that’s two chances to win. Check them both out they have fabulous digis.
My inspiration for you this week comes from Bugaboo, I chose the image BBQ guy, reminds me of my hubby at the lake when he bbqs but of course he won’t wear the chef’s hat I got for him lol.
IMG_1672
Crafting at the cottage isn’t the same as crafting at home, I have to remember to bring enough supplies with me, there are no scrap/stamp stores around. I would have liked another piece of red cardstock, but the blue looks pretty good, my thoughts might have been to use the blue but I only brought one piece of it too. The stash item I used were the two large brads, they look pretty spiffy there.
Supplies
Image from Bugaboo
Cardstock Real Red, Pacific point, Crumb Cake and GP white
Ink Memento Tuxedo Black used on the sentiment
Sentiment A round array from Stampin’up
7/8 scalloped punch (just happens to go with the stamps set)
Tim Holtz wood grain embossing folder
Brads from my stash.
Nice to see you again and I hope you take some time to join Clear it Out Tuesday for the challenge.
