The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #55 ~ L is for Legend

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers have a NEW AWESOME challenge for you this fortnight, L is for Legends so we want to see Mythical, Magical Creatures. Isn't this a fabulous idea. I knew immediately what I wanted to do for the challenge and it is called Darkling by Janna Prosvirina, I received it when her digis were on Sweet Pea, I miss that site.  Here is my Mythical/Magical creature.

This was coloured with a mixture of copics and Spectrum noir, the background is chalked and much, much more colourful IRL. I added the spider web (bought a pack last October) the patterned paper is from a Bo Bunny Halloween pack.

As I only used half the spider web I used the other half on the inside. Not know what or who I will use this card for I have left off the sentiment.

Thanks for checking my blog today and let's see your L is for Legend project, you have until April 1st at 11.59 p.m. to enter.

Back to School is the Theme ~~ Stationery items are the Stash!!!

Clear it Out Tuesday is going back to school!!! at least for this week's challenge, the stash item is stationery things, paperclips, paper fasteners, staples.  Well I have no one going back to school and I had very little in my digi stash for the sponsor this week so I had to stretch your and my imagination. The sponsors for the challenge are Di's Digis, Digital Delights and Sweet Pea stamps.  I chose a digi by Charity Dauenhauer called Faithful companion. BTW I love fairies.

I made a 5 1/4 inch square easel card, I saw the design in a card maker magazine that was picked up for me at  a yardsale by a friend. It looked like the fairy was dreaming about starting fairy school in September. The paperclips I used were from Walmart stationery dept.(there are more in the package than I will need for a lifetime).  That is the story of my back to school offering for the challenge.

Here is the card when it is closed for mailing.

Thanks for joining me today and I'm looking forward to some fabulous back to school project. Check out the rules for entering HERE and see what the rest of the team has made.

The Fairies Challenge continues at The Cheerful Stamp Pad

The second week challenge #111 Fairies at the Cheerful Stamp Pad continues, have you joined yet? The sponsor is Sweet Pea Stamps and for my second project I chose Magic Spread by Ching-Chou Kuik, I love her images and pick one when I have an opportunity and have purchased some but it’s hard to just pick one. Here is what I created.

As you see I made another PINK card but I really wanted to make the lilies look like star gazers. Just a simple sketch and one I use often.

Close up of the image, and I used spica glitter pen on the wings

Here is the semi finished inside, but this is for a reason, I had a friend ask for a few cards for little girls and big girls blank on the inside. I’m hoping she likes the ones I’ve been making for her.
