Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge ~~ October

Hello fellow crafters I hope you are ready for the new challenge at Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge,  I have been unable to craft very much since July due to a broken ankle, it's not easy to wield the Air Boot around especially since you are not supposed to put a lot of weight on it the first 7 weeks but we have graduated to more weight but I take my time and do a little every day until one is done. That being said here is my 4 day card.

Now here is my "stencil" card

Before I had my tumble I had printed 4 digital images from Bugaboo Stamps and boy it has been a lifesaver to have them ready to colour, I am not very proficient with stencils I have a few but I rarely use them but the sone I used is snowflake dots which I used some paste on, I would have preferred an inked background but went with a white on white, I coloured (not well) and fussy cut and tucked in behind a snowbank. Simply done and made flat for mailing.

Thanks for looking today and head over to the main blog and check out what the rest of the design team have made for your inspiration.

PS
Be honest how may noticed my image did not have her hair coloured, there were a few ideas from friends I showed my card to, one it was SNOW d the second said prematurely white alas i was a "guess I ne new glassess" problem I didn't notice it even when it was on my blog, but now looking at it there i still a small section I missed, 12 weeks of not crafting has affected my attention to detail now here is my almost corrected image.

Thanks again for stopping by.

Rudolph Days ~~ September

How can it be the last day of September, it has been a long summer for me as you might remember I have been dealing with a broken ankle since July 13th, hopefully October 6th will see the end of the ordeal, It is really hard to make cards, just standing to pick out stamps/images, paper and cardstock was an ordeal then it was the up and down of cutting and die cutting, you can put in a lot of steps just making a card. So what I did again this month is dig into my coloured images, and my scrap box and collect what I needed to make the card the eaiest way I knew how.

The reindeer duo and moose digital image is from Bugaboo Stamps, sadly no longer operating. The JOY die cut was from an extras box, you know you cut one and then decide it's not the right colour and cute another or just change you mind on the sentiment altogether, yep do it all the time.

Close  up of the cute image but don't look too close at the colouring I haven't been able to colour under the ott light.

Rudolph Days ~~ August

Last Rudolph days I posted a card for July explaining I had been sidelined from creating cards as I broke my ankle I had a stash of off cuts that I made my card with well fast forward to August the word from the Dr was it is healing nicely but it's 4 to 6 weeks more in the air boot, which I am managing to get it off and back on  for TV watching and bedtime, all other times it is on. So this month again I found a couple of digital images I had printed off and I managed to colour them (don't look too close)  and then looked for scraps to finish the front, the process took a couple of days. Although the air boot is lighter than a plaster cast it's still heavy and in the way. Well with all that being said here is my simple offering for the August Rudolph days.

The digi is from Bugaboo Stamps (sadly they are closed)  I decided to make the birds into Winter Robin, I added foam tape to elevate the image and added a Merry Christmas Sticker sentiment.

Close up of the image, they are so adorable

Rudolph Days ~~~ July

Hello my crafty friends it's time for the July edition of Rudolph Days. I haven't been crafting in over two weeks and it will be a bit longer. I had my knee fail me and I collapsed on the floor and broke my ankle it has been a bit of a trial as I did not want to stay so in order to come home I was fitted for an air boot and crutches and of course not to put a lot of weight on the broken ankle until the Dr. calls. I immediately knew I would not be able to take care of my Design Team duties, so they are shelved until I can put weight on my leg but on July 25th I realized I can't miss Rudolph days so knowing I had lots of off cuts, some coloured images etc. I could make one but it took me 2 days to glue it together.

My day in a recliner that I am in bed when it's time to turn out the lights.

And now my card.

The super cute penguin image is a digital stamp from Bugaboo Stamps it was already coloured and layered on the tag die. Ribbon was on my desk. Card base from my file folder I did have to cut the striped layer  and because the die cut sentiment I had from my stash wasn't suitable I did die cut the Happy Holidays (when turning the handle of the big shot I hit something and a magnet with cog dies one it and a few other things have hit the floor, one more thing my daughter is going to have to pick up for me)

Close up of the Bugaboo image sadly they are no longer in business. They were Canadian and sponsored many challenges.

R is for Reindeer

Hello crafty peeps and Happy New Year, I hope you had a great weekend and are ready to tackle the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers first challenge of 2023!!!

Edna doing her best rendition of a Reindeer driver...is that Santa's hat she is wearing?

I went with a Bugaboo digital image I had already printed and made a mini slimline card, my card is 3 1/4 X 6 1/4 only because I have a box of envelopes that fit that size perfect (note to self ... not one cm larger either) Also on my card there is no snark, I did try but when I realized I needed one to put cash in for the great grands I figured snark was not necessary. Love this size for that reason, fits a cheque too, if you still have some.

This digital set is so cute and can be used many ways, I can see a photo strip slimline card, I can see it used for selfies, now to remember this when any of those challenges come up. Patterned paper is from packs I bought last year at Dollarama and perfect size for a mini slimline at 6 1/2X 4 1/2.

Finished the inside with the 4th block in the set and some scraps of patterned paper.

Thanks for stopping by to see my first SoSS post and now head over to the MAIN BLOG and check out the great and snarky project of our design team and featuring one of our regular player who was crowned Queen, Stephanie.

H is for Halloween

Hello friends it's time to get those Halloween steamps and dies out and join the challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers. Normally I would do a Pink Halloween card but I'm Pinked out right now.

I used a digital image from Bugaboo Stamps (no longer in operation) masked the card and blended two shades of distress inks for the moon, The large bat and the spider are plastic pieces I found in my stash box. The Patterned paper is from Bo Bunny Fright collection which works great for the 5 1/2 inch square card.

I finished the inside with some left over scraps of paper and a computer generated sentiment.

No snark with this card but if you head over to the Main Blog you will see some that the rest of the design team have made.
Thanks for visiting and have a lovely Halloween.

P is for Pink at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!!

Edna is inviting your to use PINK  now a thought is a pink Halloween, or pink Christmas (for the jingle belles) or pink thinking of October being breast cancer month. I chose the Pink Christmas for my card.

I must admit I missed the last challenge D is for Drunk and  I was prepared with this image for the challenge, but life gets in the way of crafting sometimes. So I figured it was perfect for this challenge I just had to change the olives to cherries for a Pink Lady. Of course we all know it's Stella from Bugaboo Stamps, Stella is perfect for snark but not today. Patterned paper is from Recollections.

Closer look at Stella and the faux cherries.

Finished the inside with leftover patterned paper and a sentiment from Kraftin' Kimmies

Thanks for hanging out here for a bit today and if you want to see some snark head over to the Main Blog and check out what the rest of the design team have made to inspire you to join the challenge.

Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge ~~ October

Time for a new Christmas challenge at Happy Little Stampers, it's always Anything Goes but the option for October is Frame.

Even though I was making a design team card I got my inspiration from the Jingle Belles Rock Challenge which the current one is a really great sketch and has frames. "bonus"

I picked a super cute digital image from  Bugaboo Stamps (no longer in business) and designed a 5 1/2 inch square card around the sketch, the plaid cardstock is very shiny and hard to photograph. I hadn't decided on a sentiment for the front yet.

I added  a couple of circles of heavy cardstock to elevate the image a bit. The ornaments were coloured with spica glitter pens.

I carried the plaid/red theme to the inside and used a favourite Hero Arts sentiment stamped with memento Red.

Let it Snow!!!

Let it Snow is the new challenge a Shopping Our Stash!! Ontario received a good amount of really wet snow on Sunday it looked very nice but it's enough for now.  It's up to you haow you want to interpret the challenge, make sure it has something to do with snow. First I planned snowmen but I had printed off some super cute Bugaboo Stamps Penguins with making a slimline card at some point so the decision was made.

Sometimes planning isn't one of my best suits  I cut all the pieces glued them together and then went to place the images and they were a tad big to look right straight, so Happy Accident they look great a little wonky.
Let it Snow is from Elizabeth Craft Designs

Finished the inside with a Stampendous sentiment that is keeping with the theme and a couple of scraps of cardstock and paper.  It is suggested to use 100 pound cardstock for the base of Slimline cards as they are tall and it works well but you might have to add some extra stamps for mailing.

Thanks for joining me here and don't forget to check out the Main Blog and see the rest of the design teams snowy cards.

-The 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2020 ~~ Day 19

My plan is working I made two tags today the current day on the same day and one other tag. Things are looking up. For todays tag I was inspired by Alix Davis's unconventional use of a heart shape for her tag and knew I just had to make one.

I used a super cute Bugaboo image which I popped up with foam dots.  In my punch drawer (s) found this super cute snowflake stamp although Alix spattered with white paint and added enamel dots, I'm  useless at the spatter thing and had no tiny enamel dots.

Here is Alix's tag

the 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2020 ~~ Day 4

My plan (which got derailed today) is to make the current day and one I haven't done, the day isn't done yet my inspiration has been picked so hopefully it will be done later. The weather is so nice 22 degrees Celcius. so I planned on doing some leaf raking (if my legs/body will let me)  Anyway for Day 4 I picked Samantha Mann's tag. I used a Bugaboo digital image and sentiment is computer generated.

I am not sure what my problem with the pictures is, they are all dark, part of this was my shadow but it doesn't look this dark on the camera but when I put it in the Microsoft Photo program it is dark, I have tried to lighten it but to no avail.  Next one I will try the other Ott lamp to see if it's better.
As I said it's a bugaboo image I coloured and fussy cut it and  blended some oxide inks for the background.

Samantha's tag is below.

Thanks for checking in today and I will catch up eventually.

The 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2020 ~~ Day 2

It was tough to choose one tag for inspiration, so many really lovely ones, but I zoned in on Joyce's tag with the three furry creatures. For my tag I used a Bugaboo digital image I had printed and saved although it has three critters they are all kitties.  The sponsor for day 2 is Simon Says Stamp.

I have to figure out some other way of taking pictures, what I'm doing is not working the pictures are all so dark, and I tried to lighten them in a program but it just didn't work. the tag was made with a scalloped square spellbinder and part of a circle punch. The sentiment was computer generated. The red/white bakers twine I found at Dollarama today (I had every colour but red) it's a bit stiffer than the regular baker's twine but it works.

Here is Joyce's Super cute furry critter tag.

Hot Beverages for a Cold Night!!!

Here in SWO it's getting a lot cooler these days so it's nice to have a hot beverage to warm you up. So this fortnight at Shopping Our Stash  we want to see some "HOT" beverages on your project, don't forget to let us know what stash you used.  I used the  last  piece of the "cup" patterned paper, I have no idea what company it is from.

I chose Poppi Penguin from Bugaboo Stamps  and the current sketch from Cas(e) this Sketch. The white holly is part of a sprig that was in my "parts" box, I planned on a SWEET die cut sentiment but alas it is in one of the boxes I've brought home from the lake. I haven't had a chance to unpack yet, crafting out of bags and boxes is not my idea of fun

Close up of the image  I  used wink of stella on the fur on the hat the sraw/spoon and the marshmallows.

It's September Rudolph days

Just sliding in on the last day again at Rudolph  Days, but I got it done. I have entered  every month and sure don't want to miss one. So here is my very minimal card.

Sincc I'm trying to craft in two places what every I want is at the other place, although I did bring a couple of boxes home this trip and items I thought I would use,  This was not my planned card but I found the Bugaboo snowshoe guy in my stash of printed images and thought perfect, not a lot of colouring and I can sprin tis out fast. I did bring the patterned paper back too. But my let it snow dies are at the lake. The  snowflake is from my stash and I added a rhinestone to cover the hole in the "sequin" snowflake.

Close up of the super cute Bugaboo digi and the snowflake sequin.

It's Rudolph Days ~~ August

Wow it's only August 26th and I have my Rudolph Days card done already, of course I had a bit of a jumpstart as I coloured it last month while colouring July's image.

I have used a penguin digi from Bugaboo Stamps, they are the most adorable critters, Normally I use blue when I'm doing snow things but today I went with red and white. The sentiment is from Elizabeth Craft Designs,  I added little sticker dots to a few of the snowflakes on the snowflake embossed background.

Just a closer look and yes I will finish colouring the little guy (must have been in a hurry)

Finished the inside with one of the Stampin'up stamp set sentiments and the image as well.

And because I used no patterned paper and there is still an hour left.

It's Rudolph Days again.

As the challege is in it's last day I need to add this to Rudolph Days challenge, it is not unusual for me to be sneaking in on the last day but the weather has been so humid I haven't done much paper crafting. That being said here is my card.

I used an image from Bugaboo Stamps, they have the cutest penguin digis, love them and right now a 50% off sale too, and the current sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches. The pattened paper is from a 12 X 12 paper pad I picked up at Goodwill last year,, the lace is from dolleraama.

Close up of the super cute penguin and I thought the lace looked like snowflakes.
Inside is still to be stamped, I ran out of time but will be done asap or I will go to send it and it will be "surprise".

Thanks for stopping to see my offering for Rudolph Days July P.S. I have a headstart on August.
