The Drunken Stampers last challenge of the term……..

Team Bahama Mamas have the last challenge of this term, I was intrigued by the theme from the get go and knew I wanted to join them (I’m a Midnight Margarita) and I haven’t jumped in on many of their challenges. So head over to the Drunken Stampers and get all the deets on the challenge and check out what the Bahama Mamas have done to inspire you. The movie is Enchanted or Fairytales, let’s see what you can come up with for the challenge.
I had this Sassy Studio Designs digi and knew I wanted to use it for the Drunken Stampers challenge as I thought she looked like the Queen in Snow white. What do you think?

A Day at the Beach…..with Clear it Out Tuesday

Yes I’ve been at the lake for the weekend and it’s hot, hot, hot. but then again it would be just as hot at home. Hubby said the water is lovely but cool which means I’m not going in.

Here is my inspiration for you to play along with us at “The Cheerful Stamp Pad.”

This is my last official challenge for my term at The Drunken Stampers but the good news is Spike is not tired of me yet and I can stay on for another term wahoo!!! Second Week of the Sweet Challenge

We are starting the second week of the Sweet challenge  at The Cheerful Stamp Pad. The sponsor is Far Far Hill, check out the great background digi papers, they are great. I used one for my card, inside and out.
I chose a gatefold card with a twist since a gatefold would show off the digi paper from Far Far Hill. The cupcakes are also a digi image, I added some sparkle to the icing and cherry, then attached the pink bow to the front for some dimension. The sentiment is from Stampin’up and just goes right along with the image.
IMG_1678
This is the closed card, the cupcake is on the left “gate” and the sentiment is on the right “gate”
IMG_1679
Here is the inside of the card, a few more mini cupcakes and check out the awesome paper.
Thanks for stopping by today and hope you find some time to craft a Sweet image for The Cheerful Stamp Pad.

Mid-Challenge time at Clear it Out Tuesday..masculine

There is another week for you to join in the Masculine/Father’s Day challenge at Clear it Out. Stash item is METAL and there are two sponsors Bugaboo and The Stamping Chef that’s two chances to win. Check them both out they have fabulous digis.
My inspiration for you this week comes from Bugaboo, I chose the image BBQ guy, reminds me of my hubby at the lake when he bbqs but of course he won’t wear the chef’s hat I got for him lol.
IMG_1672
Crafting at the cottage isn’t the same as crafting at home, I have to remember to bring enough supplies with me, there are no scrap/stamp stores around. I would have liked another piece of red cardstock, but the blue looks pretty good, my thoughts might have been to use the blue but I only brought one piece of it too. The stash item I used were the two large brads, they look pretty spiffy there.
Supplies
Image from Bugaboo
Cardstock Real Red, Pacific point, Crumb Cake and GP white
Ink Memento Tuxedo Black used on the sentiment
Sentiment A round array from Stampin’up
7/8 scalloped punch (just happens to go with the stamps set)
Tim Holtz wood grain embossing folder
Brads from my stash.
Nice to see you again and I hope you take some time to join Clear it Out Tuesday for the challenge.

New Challenge at The Cheerful Stamp Pad

Hi a new challenge is ready for you to play along with at The Cheerful Stamp Pad, So Sweet is the theme and what is sweeter than a cupcake? The “sweet” sponsor is Far Far Hill check out the free vintage papers, fabulous.
Before I show you my card for the So Sweet challenge I must tell you about the trials and tribulations of my journey to the finished card. It was Friday and we were heading to the cottage for the weekend and I was trying to print the image that I wanted to use and it wasn’t working so went to plan “B” cupcake images from Inkadinkado. I packed all the equipment I thought I might need to us better too much than too little, or so I thought. Stamped and coloured the image, had my circles, and my big shot, everything was cool until I realized, no ribbon hmm so found a scrap of green scalloped green, now it’s looking good. Then the big one………………..no pop dots. I then took a piece of cosmetic sponge, cut it in little squares added red line tape on both sides then added it to the images, voila’ it’s finished.
IMG_1677
Thanks for stopping by today and listening to my journey to the finished card. I think it looks pretty “Sweet”
Supplies
Image from Inkadinkado
Cardstock: Pretty in Pink, GP White, Regal Rose, Wild Wasabi
Accessories: Spellbinders circles, Sizzix Honeycomb embossing folder, stickles.

New Challenge at the Drunken Stampers challenge blog

The Midnight Margaritas would love to have you play along with My Best Friend’s Wedding movie challenge #131 at the Drunken Stampers Challenge Blog. Again I haven’t seen the movie so I took the alternate choice of using blue. I never realized how many movies I haven’t seen, we haven’t been to a movie theatre since Pirates of the Caribbean the Black Pearl and I am not one to sit in front of the T.V. to watch either (I’m usually napping if I do). Now to show you my card, I think the technique is emboss resist. I stamped the flowers with versamark watermark and embossed with clear embossing powder then sponged with blue dye ink over the embossed flowers. The butterflies were punched from some scraps left over from a class I went to.

IMG_1676

Since I am now at the cottage and everything I used is at home I have no idea what the name of the flower set I used.  The sentiment is from Stampin’up Heard from the Heart. Cardstock is GP white, Bashful Blue and pacific point, the ribbon is bashful blue everything but the butterflies is from Stampin’up.

Thanks for stopping by today and I’m glad you visited. Head over to the Drunken Stamper’s blog and have a look to see what all the design team members have for you to look at. They are awesome.

New Challenge at Clear it Out Tuesday…..Masculine

Get a head start on your Father’s day card or a birthday card the theme is Masculine or Father’s day and the stash item is use METAL on your project,  To get all the information on the challenge please check out the Clear it Out challenge blog. Two fabulous sponsors again so two chances to win, Bugaboo is offering 7 digi images and Stamping chef is giving 3 images.
For this week’s inspiration I used a cute dino from Stamping Chef, such a cute “daddy’s day card”. Since dinosaurs are usually green I picked a lime green and of course my favourite colour purple. this reminded me of the dinosaur sweaters I knit for my older two grandsons when they were very young.
IMG_1673
I just had to use the honeycomb embossing folder I just purchased from Stampin;up and I found out a hexagon punch I bought a long time ago fits inside the spaces perfect. My stash item is the green metal clips and brads I have had for eons, they don’t even sell them at the dollar store anymore.
Supplies
Image……Dino from The Stamping Chef
Ink….for the sentiment Versafine Imperial Purple

IMG_1671
I love taking pictures on the porch rail, normally it would be in front of the clematis but there was too much shadow, no matter where it is taken it’s much nicer than under the ott lamp.

Ink …Memento tuxedo black
Cardstock….GP white and GP black
7/8 scalloped punch
