Jingle Belles are still Rocking Inchies and twinchies.

I came across a sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches and it all but screamed at me to make a card with it for the Jingle Belles Rock!!! I had the perfect image and dies too. It's a bonus when several challenges all match perfect. I really haven't played with TMS for quite a while although I check them every week, not always do I find time to take advantage of their great sketches.

The snowman/woman is from Sunshine Stamps, it is a set of 4 adorable little snowpeople. Note the stitching, I finally remembered to stitch on my card before I glues it togwther. I love this stitched square die set and the matching fancy one too, it's perfect if you just want a touch of colour.

Close up of the super cute Snowman, since I coloured his hat and scart in blue, I first coloured with a copic marker then went over it with a spica glitter blue pen.

Finished the inside with some snowflakes and patterned paper.

And as you can see I "real" stitched on the inside as well.

I am entering this in:
Jingle Belles Rock ~~ inchies and twinchies

Winter Wonderland ~~ Stitching real or faux

Thanks for checking in today I'm keeping up with the Holiday cards.

A Stitch in Time Saves Nine….or so the old saying goes

Hello my crafty and non-crafty friends, another week closer to summer and oh how I’m looking forward to warmer weather how about you? Clear it Out Tuesday has an awesome challenge for you this week, anything goes, we know how you love to enter ATG challenges of course there is a twist with this one, stitching either real or faux the choice is yours. Head over to the CIOT blog and check out the rules while you are there check out what the other design team members have created.
I dragged out my sewing machine, set it up on the kitchen table plugged it it and decided to take a test run, hmmm it wasn’t working, the thread was getting caught and my stitch wasn’t right so…………..I tried to pull the thread from the bobbin case and took one ring off, the other followed so decided to scrap machine sewing and will be taking the machine in to have it checked over. That left me with two options, faux stitching (I suck at that) or hand stitching.

The sponsor for the challenge is Stamp Art by Katheryne and the image I chose was Alannah & Snowball. I’m trying to do at least one Christmas card a month so when November/December arrives I’m ahead of the game. I coloured the image with my spectrum noir markers, the patterned paper is a couple of years old and I stuck it to the pink cardstock then punched holes in it every 1/4 inch and hand stitched with green thread. The ribbon I used was already sewn.

Here is a close up so you can see the stitching, I used stickles on the snowman’s had and opal liquid pearls for Alannah’s hat.

Inside of the card, now you can see how cute the patterned paper is.

This is my last official challenge for my term at The Drunken Stampers but the good news is Spike is not tired of me yet and I can stay on for another term wahoo!!! Although I have not seen many of the movies it has been a blast. This challenge is Edward Scissorhands with the alternate theme of Sewing. Hop over to the challenge blog HERE to get all the rules on entering.
I went with the sewing theme and I used a sketch from Deconstructing Jen I love her sketches and have used them in the past too.

I used my favourite stamps……house mouse, I coloured with prisma pencils and oms, used large rectangles and I even dragged out my sewing machine to plain stitch the image to the scalloped rectangle. the disp I sewed to night of navy cardstock with the feather stitch, just love that one on a card. Added blue brads and some white ribbon and bow. ||the image was elevated with pop dots.
Thanks for having a peek at my blog today, come back any time and don’t forget to play along with the  challenge at The Drunken Stampers.
