R is for RUDE

Welcome to a new Month and a new Challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers and I will let Edna introduce the theme.

Now that is just rude, every parking lot has one or two.

While flipping through a box of my snarky cats and sentiments I saw the sentiment and thought "perfect"  and when I spotted the cat reaching for the butterfly "double perfect?, now the yellow butterfly is not the original one as sadly I clipped a wing while fussy cutting, so I was digging through a container of extras and along with the butterfly I found a partial piece of fence, voila something to use as a springboard. The background is from a DCVW pad I've had kicking around for at least 15 years. The cat is on a wobble I have a video but still cannot figure out how to attach it here.

I finished the inside a sentiment can be added later.

Thanks for stopping by and check out the Main Blog to see the rude cards the rest of the design team have made.

M is for Masculine

Hello friends and followers, it's been a terrible start to 2025 I managed to catch a bug that was going around and I was down with a bronchial virus for 8 weeks, I have not kept up with my design team duties. on the up side I lost 10 pounds, now I need to build up my strenth.

The new challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers is M is for  Masculine and it  came at the right time as I needed a card for my youngest son's birthday on March 31st, I don't worry about him seeing it before that day he doesn't have any social media.

Of course I had to bring out the snarky cats, I pondered which to use and planned on a B&W card until I found out I had no shiny black cardstock so used the holographic paper pad I picked up at Dollarama eons ago. I love how the big birthday die cut stands out. I finished it with some tiny black pearls from the Eyelet Outlet that I had in my stash.

Side view which shows I popped the snarky cat up and the die cut is layered 3 black and the holographic die cut on top.

Finished the inside with a scrap of holographic paper and a sentiment. (sorry no snark today)

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to head over and see the really great masculine cards the rest of the team have made. (now they have snark)

Ho, Ho, Ho

Merry Christmas from Edna and the designers at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers.

Challenge #257 is H is for Ho, Ho, Ho and is our last challenge of 2024 but we will be back in 2025 for more fun, frivolity and snark.

Yes it's another mini  slimline and another snarky cat, cat and presents were fussy cut. I found a smooshed background in my parts box it was A2 size so added the snow hill to the bottom. The presents were flat attached but the cat is popped up. I dug out my liquid pearls had to de-clog it and warm it up then I added it to his hat.

Close up, I do need to finish the inside as I ran out of time on Friday.

I am adding this to:

Critter Alert!!

Welcome to a new challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers, for the month of November we are showing off our Critters and look how many critters Edna has rounded up.

I decided on one for my card.

I must admit I have had all pieces for this card for weeks but as usual life took over and I couldn't find time to execute it. The background was a "fail" (I thought) but tucked it in the file folder with green scraps and it surfaced as I was searching for something else and thought hmm doesn't look half bad, and had the look I was aiming for to go with the snarky cat. (sorry no snark though) The sentiment was die cut 3 times and layered together and the snarky cat was fussy cut and popped up. It's a guy card so no bling.

Side look to see the dimension.

finished the inside with a scrap of the background paper and a masculine feeling sentiment.

I'm adding this to

Seize the Birthday ~~ Anything Goes

Thanks for visiting today and check out the critters the rest of the design team have used to inspire you to join in the challenge.

H is for Halloween *Pink is Optional

Another new month another new challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers, Edna has gone overboard on her invitation to play along.

Kudos to Lee for the fabulous graphic.
As you see it is H is or Halloween *pink optional I usually make a pink Halloween card but I was just too excited with the snarky Halloween cat.

I have had all the components for the card but the background it seemed so daunting but with Saturday looming I needed to bite the bullet and git 'er done. I ink blended  spun sugar, villanous potion, uncharted mariner and black soot over a circle mask, bats are flat attached but the main image is elevated.

Picture to show the dimension.

The inside is finished with a computer generated verse and a scrap of patterned paper. (not sure I like it either, too late. lol)

I would like to add this to:

A is for Autumn

A new month and a new challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers. check out what Edna has been up to for September.

The obvious for the challenge would be fall leaves in an array of reds oranges and yellow but I took a different approach to Autumn so check it out.

It's an Anti-Pumpkin Spice card!! The look on the snarky cat's face says it all. I coloured and fussy cut the cat and pumpkin, blended a fall sky. The pumpkin is popped up as is the head of the cat. I then added the die cut sentiment.

Had to add a close up of his face.

Close up of the computer generated sentiment.

Thanks for checking my blog today and don't forget to check out the MAIN BLOG to see what my teamies have made, then dig out your Autumn supplies, make a project and add it to our Gallery, You have until the last Friday of September to enter, you just might get voted the Queen of Snark.

S is for Snarky

Welcome to the March challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers and I'm ready to SNARK Mother Nature I'm sure she is off her meds or need new ones, ya never know what kind of day you have until you step out the door and my tulips are confused. So I will let Edna announce the theme for you.

Don't you think we need one of these T-shirts? I would wear one.

Well dug out my Snarky Cats and used a favourite Sheetload of cards design from January 2023 for a mini slimline card, these make perfect money holders. The plaid patterned paper was a scrap that was on my desk, the blue layer a scrap from my paper file drawer. The image and both sentiments was a scrap of heavy 110 lb. cardstock. I used word bubble dies (stampin'up) to die cut the one sentiment.

Close up of the sentiment and cat.

No inside sentiment yet as I was running low on time and it's too late at night, I promise to finish it tomorrow as I have a bunch of cards without sentiments and I find it is much easier and faster to do it all at the same time as it is to go to sign a card and find you need to finish it...trust me I have been there and done that and will probably do it again.

I am adding this to:

G is for Gel Printing.....

Hello family, friends and followers, it's time for a new challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers, I missed the inky one and that would have been great I hope you played along.  I am not at all experienced with using the Gelli Plate, at least I have one but I've only used it once and wasn't too happy with the  results.

Edna has done a crackerjack job with her gel printing background. (thanks to Lee)

Now on to my offering.

It's been a long drawn out affair getting this card together starting with finding the gelli plate since I haven't used it since bringing things home in October from the cottage  I checked a couple of Jennifer Maguire videos and although you cannot really see it what looks like speckles in the darker heart was a background stamp that I lifted some colour off after applying the stencil,  I made the print and let it dry then added a darker ink to the gelli plate and laid the Dollar Tree stencil on the ink then pressed the background stamp into it (guess I needed more pressure) then removed it,  added the prepared paper to transfer the image. Of course had to add a snarky cat, sentiment and a few rhinestones.

Close up of the snarky saying.

Finished the inside with the off cut from the gel print and a Valentine sentiment.

I'm entering this in:

Thanks for stopping by today and head over to the Main Blog to check out what the rest of the design team have made, they are so much more experiences than I am.
