The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers has a new challenge for you, challenge #25 W is for WOW it’s cold!!! (and it sure is here in Canada) Make a winter themed card.
Here I am cosy in my warm house looking out the window at the awesome winter scene, I’m hoping it looks like wallpaper and wainscoting, with a brown chair rail. I didn’t stamp and colour the scene, my daughter gave me a notecard and said “ I think you could do something with this” well seems to me it was a challenge and I took advantage of it. Here is the notecard I started with.
I have never altered a bought card before and it was fun deciding how to make it mine.
Close up through the window, I put some clear acrylic to make it look like glass and popped it up on 3d Zots.
I have decided this is a Thank You card I am giving to a neighbour that kindly gave us a container of home made sugar cookies. It was a tradition his Mom started and he hand delivered to a few of the neighbours.
I would like to enter this in Crafty Gals Corner challenge #1 Anything goes & blog hop. They are the new kid on the challenge block so check them out.
Thanks for stopping by today and we would like to see your Winter themed card. Just add it to the link at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers, while you are there check out what my team mates have done, some have some snark on them too.

Challenge #24 Y is for Yuck
It’s Saturday and the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers have a new challenge. Y is for Yuck it’s to use something you don’t like but you better tell us about your yuck or we might not think it is Yucky at all.
Christmas day festivities are over and the Boxing Day Sales are on full tilt here in Canada. It started in England when the affluent people would give their servants something in a box the day after Christmas, I have no clue how it came to be a shopping frenzy. Any way on to my Yuck card.
my yuck is the paper, I bought it cheap from the clearance rack from Stampin’up, I wanted something that would go with coral and it does but all around the edges there is distressing, if I wanted it distressed I could have done it myself, to me it looks dirty. The stamp I used is from an old hostess set that has never seen ink but I love how the Calypso coral blendablities worked on it. I layered it on Nellie Snellen oval die cuts.
I hope you can find some time to join in the fun and dig out your yuck things and make us a project with them.

The finished inside of the Birthday card, I hope the recipient liked it. Funny how I thought the paper was Yuck and it looks pretty good in the picture. I hope you can find some time to join in the fun and dig out your yuck things and make us a project with them.

It’s Saturday and V is for Vintage at SoSS Challenge Blog
Happy Thanksgiving to my American friends and followers, and to all my other followers and friends enjoy your weekend. I hope you have some time to check out the new challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers, while there have a look at what the other sisters have created. So the challenge is V for Vintage, not one of my favourite ones as I struggle with vintage, it’s in the same area as Distressing but it might take a while but I get it done, here it is…..
I used a Santa stamp from Rubber Stampede on vanilla cardstock, using the burnished velvet technique I covered it with Be Creative tape and Glitter Ritz clear warm tones. although you cant’ really tell unless you enlarge the image. The sentiment is from Hero Arts and one of my first stamps I bought. I layered it on gold paper from the dollar store (I stocked up on this shiny paper) The background is Cuttlebug embossing folder on a shiny off white paper. (have no clue where I got that from)
Close up so you can see the glitter and the simmer on the snowflakes.
Finished inside with a verse from Hero Arts that is embossed in gold.
Thanks for taking some time from your weekend to visit my blog and dig out all your vintage stamps and join in the fun at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers you just might be the Queen of Snark or maybe one of the princesses.

P is for Profanity (swear if you dare) Challenge #21 at SoSS
It’s Saturday and do we have a great challenge for you this fortnight, P is for Profanity at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers head over to the blog and check the rules and have a look at what my sisters have done for the challenge. Don’t forget to see what our Guest Designer Lauren has made too. Here is what I came up with for the challenge.
I used an image from Bugaboo Designs and it is Gus, don’t you just love the Gus and Stella digis, I do. I had some scraps laying around from another project and coloured with copics and the letters were cut with Cuttlebug alpha dies.
Thanks for stopping by today and enjoy the weekend and get your thinking cap on and join us for the P is for Profanity (swear if you dare) Challenge.

Of course I had to give Gus some paper glaze on his glasses.
Did you see this one coming? The sentiment came with the Gus digi as a set. Used a few more scraps on the inside. Thanks for stopping by today and enjoy the weekend and get your thinking cap on and join us for the P is for Profanity (swear if you dare) Challenge.

Challenge #20 T is for Thanks (for nothing)
I must apologize for being tardy with my blog post, our TOPS fall rally was today, I was finishing a few insides of the Christmas cards to take to sell and helping fill the goodie bags to hand out with the name tags and totally forgot I had a card to blog about.
The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers challenge is to make a Thank you card or a Thanksgiving card if you are in the U.S.A. If you feel the desire to make a snarky comment go for it!!
Pink and grey goes together so well and I love this paper I found at (of all places) Wal-Mart.The image is used is from Bugaboo Digital Stamps I didn’t put thanks on the front, perhaps I should before I give it away.
I used white opal liquid pearls to make the froth on the cup, I now need to buy a new bottle as it works for snow and fur too. I coloured with copics and added a few flowers from my stash. I even broke out a new roll of ribbon,
Not sure but this could be taken as a tad snarky it depends on how your mind reads it. The sentiment came with the digital image.
I am entering this in:
Catch the Bug anything goes challenge for November.
Thanks for looking today and I hope you find some time in the next two weeks to add your project to the SoSS T is for Thanks (for nothing) challenge.

H is for Hopeful Halloween at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers.
Only the Sisterhood would think of combining Halloween and Hope for Breast Cancer month. Head on over to the main BLOG check out the rules and see the awesomeness of the rest of the design team. Since the rest of the sisters were making Pink Halloween cards I didn’t want to be left out so I made one too.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you will join us for the H is for Hopeful Halloween.
I must admit I had a hoot designing this, The stamp was a prize from Graphicat designs I won a couple of years ago and had never seen ink, their new store is open now have a look around they have some freebies and a sketch to use. I stamped the image twice and coloured up the shoe, covered it with stickles and popped it up. I found a piece of glitter cardstock (dollar store) to make the scalloped rectangle and glitter layer (I cut the rectangle out of the center of the piece I used for the layer) The patterned paper is from Theresa Collins Halloween Party pad and I used watered down pink silks acrylic glaze to give it a pink glow and it’s sparkly too.
See how glittery the shoe is
I finished the inside with a bit of glitter cardstock and a sentiment from a clear Halloween set, I have no idea who’s it is as there is no packaging. I also used a black card base from the dollar store and the size of the card is 4 X 6 and has an envelope to match. Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you will join us for the H is for Hopeful Halloween.

It’s Saturday!!! Challenge Time at the Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers.
Challenge #18 wow that many already where does the time go? is ………..I is for Iconic. Head over to the SOSS Blog and get all the rules and have a look at what the design team has made. Our GDT is Lynn you can visit her blog HERE and leave her some love.
I struggled with this challenge I had an idea and then checked out all other ideas I could come up with and then back to the first one. It didn’t go well, I think when it took me four tries to get a “clean” image I would have stopped but I blundered on, I won’t bother you with all the horrific details just think of what could go wrong and it did. ……here it is.
the image I used is from Stampabilities and I have had it a long time, I decided to do a spotlight card. As you see I decided to go with an iconic place the Eiffel tower in Paris. Everything used was stash.
The patterned paper is from a travel paper pad, there is enough room to put a sentiment on the paper. The cardstock I used is Wild Wasabi and Very Vanilla, rhinestones are from my never-ending pile of them.
Thanks for visiting today and you have two weeks to get your Iconic project to the SOSS Blog. We want to see who, what or where your icon is.

SOSS Challenge #17 D is for Distressing
I didn’t get to play last challenge (insert sad face here) and I LOVE monochromatic cards but I managed to get one for this week. Now if you follow my blog or know me you won’t be surprised to find out I do NOT like distressing….so on that note here is what I cam up with for the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers challenge 17. Don’t forget to stop by and get the rules and check out what my teammies have done.for your inspiration.
the stamp I used is from Simply Betty Stamps I won it in a challenge from Graphicat designs. The background is Brick red distress ink smeared on the Tim Holt\ brick wall embossing folder on crumb cake cardstock.Happy Haunting was cut with my cuttlebug alpha letters. embellishments spider washi tape and a couple of bats I’ve had for eons. I distressed the edges of two layers with my scissors.
Here is the inside of the card, unfortunately I couldn’t locate my Halloween sentiments. I just added the spider washi tape to the top. I think that is super cute tape.
Thanks for stopping by for a visit today and I hope I have inspired you to join in the fun of DISTRESSING a project. Let out those pent up frustrations on some paper.

Z is for Zoo..challenge #14 at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers
Another great challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stamp Z is for Zoo, so we want to see and animal or animal prints on your creation.,

Have a fantastic weekend!!!
Check out the rules on the blog and while you are there check out the fabulous projects the rest of the Sisters have made. So here is what I came up with.
I stamped the Giraffe (from the Artful Stamper) with versamark watermark and embossed it in detail black. coloured with copics then did the rip thing (a stress reliever) Added the brads and some white fibre, I pretty much followed the sketch shown on the web site.
Close up of the face detail.Finished inside it carries through the design from the front minus the ripping.
Thanks for visiting today and I hope you can find time to get the |oo stuff together and make us a creation so we can ooh and aah over it.

SoSS #13 - L is for Layer
Welcome back for another Sisterhood of Snarky stampers challenge! This week our Alphabet Soup theme is "L is for Layer."
The sisters would like you to make a one layer card (one layer on top of a card base is OK, but no more than one layer).
Here's what I came up with for the challenge:
I went for a CAS look on this card, I scored the sides of the card base to give the illusion of another layer, but there's really just one!
Visit the SoSS BLOG for all the details on this challenge and be sure to visit the sisters and show them some crafty love too.
If you want to play along with the challenge, you have until 11:55 pm (EDT) to upload your project on the SoSS BLOG.

The image I used was a freebie from Bugaboo Stamps and the sentiment is from an unknown digi, I thought they were both perfect for the challenge.
The glitter I used is from the Dollar store and is chunky so I didn’t get it all over me or the floor, even the cat was spared being glittered. The inside of the card. I used turquoise and yellow and the patterned paper is a scrap I found in the scrap box.
