Hello friends here I am with a card for the Jingle Belles Challenge, plans were made over a week ago to make this card but life and a holiday weekend got in the way. Since it's jumped from 4 degrees Celcius (39 F) to 30 degrees (86 F) in a matter of a couple of days it makes me feel cooler making Winter cards.

The Great White North
Congratulations
Hello and welcome to my blog today, for my fellow Canadian friends I hope you had fabulous Victoria Day weekend, finally we have warm weather, there sure wasn't any spring weather here in SWO. I guess you checked in to see what the new challenge is at Shopping Our Stash and as by the title I'm sure you have guessed we want to see projects that congratulate someone, perhaps Wedding, Anniversary, Graduation or anything else you can congratulate someone for. Well last challenge I already congratulated Riggs (a charcoal lab) for being adopted to a great family so decided to go with a new baby theme.

G is for Gnome
Good morning friends, It's half way through the month of May and there is still 13 days left to get your project in for the G is for Gnome challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers.
I was well on my way two weeks ago to have my card ready for the SoSS blog but I just couldn't pull it off in time for the 6.30 launch so decided a mid-challenge reminder would work as well. Now the warmer weather is trying to arrive it's time to think about summer and the cottage, I'm hoping to make up kits to take with me to cut down on the amount of paper/inks/cardstock/stamp and dies to take.
In getting ready for the challenge I had everything picked out and as I went to colour the gnome I realized I needed a card for a May birthday so I know the recipient loves purple (like me) and then to even stress myself more I decided to make it shaker card. The birthday coverplate die is perfect for a quick card (unless you make it into a shaker) just 2 co-ordinating cardstock and a focal point. The sentiment came with the set.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope I have inspired you to make a gnome project and display it on our SoSS blog, you have until May 31st @ 11.59 p.m.

Peace on Earth (Day)
I am really trying hard to do the Jingle Belles prompts but so far I can't seem to get things going until the last days of the challenge, at least I am earlier than last prompt. As you see the challenge is Earth Day which means recycle something to use, well I spotted a gift card from 2024 in my old card stash and knew it was perfect to upcycle and at the same time I saw a new way to do the Eclipse technique which is perfect for the image.
Man's Best Friend
Two weeks has whizzed by again and it's time for a new challenge at Shopping Our Stash, the theme for this fortnight is Man's best friend so create a card featuring an animal one would have as a pet. Now since I have a cat you would think I would pull out one of my many cat stamps but I changed my mind when I found out a friend just adopted a new dog so I just had to make a card to celebrate.

Baby It's Cold Outside!!
Hello fellow crafters, I'm finally slipping in with a card for the current (soon to end) challenge at Christmas Kickstart. When I saw the prompt "Brimming with Style" which means Hats I knew I had the perfect House Mouse image to make a winter card. Thank goodness we have finally passed (fingers crossed) the need for winter hats, bring on the face shading straw hats. So here is my card for the challenge.

Very Vanilla Vintage Christmas
Hello my fellow Christmas challenge crafters, I finally finished the vintage Santa card I started 8 days ago, I have been trying to organize my supplies (gasp) it's not easy but I came upon a box of vanilla invitation blanks that I found at Goodwill for $2.00 there are 100 in the box, yep gonna take me a while to use them up. I had been looking for the perfect vanilla shade for cards and I had it in my stash all along. Okay on with the card. I stamped the image, cut the ovals, had the base ready as well as a layer then life happened, appointments, dt cards, laundry, once that was under control I had a chance to finish my card for the Jingle Belles Christmas challenge.
Up, Up and Away.........
Hello my crafty friends I hope your week is going well and you are having good weather, we had our preview of summer for a couple of days and now it's -1 C or 30 F and been snowing so I'm back wearing my winter coat. The only thing to do until the real summer arrives is see what new challenges are being promoted, starting with Up, Up, and Away at Shopping Our Stash so create a card with something you will see in the SKY, balloon, plane, bird, rainbow....so many options. A couple of Thursdays ago while at bowling the score board puts animated pictures when a strike, spare, headpin etc happens well one was a biplane and an idea was planted, sometimes you don't know where or when inspiration will happen, now own to my card. (just as I envisioned)

Let the Reindeer Games Begin
I finally finished a card for the Jingle Belles Christmas Challenge ~~ Walking in a Whimsical Wonderland, and nothing is more whimsical than mice dressing up like a reindeer, an angel and just being goofy. Time is of the essence as the challenge closes at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
I Don't Sweat, I Sparkle
Welcome to a new challenge at Shopping Our Stash the prompt is to create a card with lots of sparkle, glitter, gems etc. Well I wasn't in the mood for loose glitter and with a cat that needs to be supervising that would be a disaster so I dug out a 6 X 6 pad that has glitter sheets and mirror cardstock I picked up at Dollarama and of course when you say glittery it spells Holiday card which I add to my 2026 holiday stash.

H is for Happy Birthday
Hello friends and fellow crafty people, it's a new month and a new challenge at the Sisterhood of snarky stampers and it's just in time for my youngest son's birthday...H is for Happy Birthday. Again I chose a snarky cat but he is a Birthday cat next year I need to find something other than the snarky cats. Last year's card he said was the best ever I am not sure I can top that. Now here is Edna to announce the new challenge.

WHITE-out
Welcome back to a NEW challenge at Shopping Our Stash, the challenge for this fortnight is a White-out challenge, create a card that features NO WHITE. I thought it was an opportunity to make a non-traditional holiday card, I really need to work on my stash. I shopped "as usual" in my parts box and found some die-cuts, probably from last years holiday crafting and I made a card around them using not a speck of white.

I'm Counting On You!!
Another two weeks has flown by, am I the only one that thinks days and weeks just fly by? It just seems like we were celebrating the new year and now it's March and closer to spring. All the huge piles of snow have melted with the warmer weather and it didn't take as long as I thought. That being noted I need to tell you about the new challenge at Shopping Our Stash, I'm Counting On You which we want to see a number or numbers on your card and since it's March guess what number is on my card.

C is for Cold
Welcome to a new challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers, the prompt or the month of March is C is for Cold. I heard we will be having another "cold" snap next weekend so I'm going to enjoy the double digits while I can. Sorry no Edna prompt this challenge, my laptop was being a pita and I finally lost patience after 2 hours of trying to get pages to load, good job there was only one photo to edit.

The Golden Years
Hello and welcome to a new challenge at Shopping Our Stash, the Golden Years yep I think I'm there LOL, kidding aside we want your to make a card featuring the colour GOLD. Lots of great ideas for the colour gold, golden anniversary, wedding card, confirmation and the one I chose was Christmas mainly because I need to build my Holiday card stash.
I have gone the "easy route" and used some patterned cardstock from a paper pad from the dollar store I bought 2 years ago, I might have bought more than one. The snowflake wreath is really hard to see, it was plan "b" as I could not find the original die (found it after I was finished). The JOY die is one I have had a long time but never used, there is a word die and a shadow and because I wanted to pop it up I cut the shadow out of gold mirror cardstock. (also from the dollar store)

I have received really cute shaped cards one was a gorgeous layered butterfly birthday card and a super adorable mitten card for Christmas swap and if you have been to the main blog there are yummy cupcakes, now for me it's a circle easel card.
