D is for Dog!!!

Hello friends another two weeks has flown by, last weekend I had two Sundays, I don't know about you but this quarentine is messing with my days along with the fact I never know what date it is.  I am my circle of 10 or however many we can have now.  I am glad I have the diversion of the cottage and my crafting or I would be in a sad state. To top it all off I finally have my design teams in the right order it has only taken since January to wrap my head around it and I'm now on track. (at least for a while)  The new challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers is D is for Dog!! lots of really cute/snarky doggie projects on the Main Blog. Here is what I came up with.

I haven't used this card design in eons, when the die I had planned on using was just a tad too small for the image I went with a card design I saw on pinterest, and it left me just enough room for the snarky sentiment.(still a lot of white space) The dog is a Tim Holtz set of dogs and dies from sizzix I have had for a couple of years and never had them out of the packge, (have cats too) The bones are from the die I had planned on useing so just cut a few to add interest to the card.  It's a mailable card too.

I feel like I was celebrating the 4th of July using these colours, once I had coloured the ball and dish I had to use the red and blue and a few more bones. The sentiment is from Stampendous.

As I said earlier there are a lot more dog creations on the Main Blog. We are looking forward to seeing your creations for D is for Dog.

Working on my Winter Card Stash the Merry Monday way...............

First I saw the sketch at Tuesday morning Sketches and I loved it, of course as I said I was going to work on Christmas/Winter cards all year I spotted the Merry Monday challenge of White on White, well since I've made a few with that colour challenge I wanted to try one again. I bought the Gently Falling embossing folder from Stampin'up before Christmas but hadn't used it and knew it was perfect for the sketch. So here is my card and I will explain how it was done.

I love this snowglobe die from Impression Obsession, I think I have had it for two years and just started to use it. The trees and deer are also from impression obsession and they fit perfect on the circle. I used three different whites on this card. The snowflakes (IO) deer, trees and base are shimmer paper, The snow globe circle is some swirled shimmer paper years old and this might be the last piece. The card base and softly falling embossed layer are plain white from Michaels.

Close up of the snowglobe scene.

Using a tip about putting recipe cards for the inside (thanks Tracy) I cut the card with the Top Note so I can write a personal message on it. The little snowman was a leftover die cut that was just sitting on the table.

Challenges I would like to enter:
Fab & Funky Challenge #286 use something new ~~ softly falling embossing folder

Merry Monday #186 ~~ White on White

Tuesday Morning sketch #333

Thanks for spending some time here today and have a fabulous week.

Boy even though Easter is late this year it seems to have “snuck” up on me, I’m not prepared and my cards are not out yet. With the $1.00 cost per mailing mine will be hand delivered here in town. At Clear it Out Tuesday the challenge is Easter and the stash item is pastel brads real or faux. Stop by the blog to check out the details of the challenge, while there have a look at the other design team’s cards. The sponsor is Digital Delights and Whoopsie Daisy they both have some real cute images.

I have used a Whoopsie Daisy digi, my stash item is the flower brads and I have had them for years I probably have been saving them lol. The lace is also from my stash and everything but the base was from my scrap box.
