Merry Sketch-Mas is the Challenge at the Jingle Belles!!

I missed the earth day challenge last time, it's one I really like but alas life got in the way and I just ran out of time so I was determined to get one done early this fortnight, (I might even get one more made) The sketch is by Stephanie and it's a great one.  Here is my take on the sketch.......

Here is the sketch

Just in case you recognize the cute tag, yes it's one I made in 2017 for the 25 days of Christmas Tags, The image is from Bugaboo Stamps. Since I have not uses any of the tags I decided I was one step up on the challenge and show that you don't just need to make tags for gifts they can attached to cards.

Finished the inside with a diecut edge of patterned paper and a Stampendous sentiment.

It's Rudolph Days for April!!!

It's time for Rudolph Days for April and I'm not squeaking on the last day!! I had a bit of a mishap with an image last month when I had it coloured and put paper glaze on the berries then die cut the image well the berries were toast, so saved it and fussy cut the holly leaves and finished it for this month's Rudolph Days.

As you see this time I didn't put any paper glaze on the berries although might still do it now it'a all together.  Image is from House Mouse Designs, patterned paper and a strip of washi tape just because it was on my desk.

I just elevated the tips of the holly.

Finished the inside with an Artful Stamper sentiment.

It's a Cupcake kind of Day!!!

It's a brand new challenge at Shopping Our Stash ~~ Hello Cupcake!! Chris is the hostess for this challenge. I'm sure you have a few cupcake stamps or more in your stash as well as cupcake paper, brads, ribbon and anything cupcake you can think of. I picked a favourite stamp company for my image, House Mouse Designs, Cupcake Belly, you can see that it is appropriately named too.

I'm not sure of the name of the fold I used, I just call it a tri-fold, (I copied it from a Birthday card I received from "Donna" my house mouse loving friend.)  The patterned paper is from a Kitchen pack I bought in the U.S. a long time ago when I was doing recipe swaps, 8 or 10 years ago. The cardstock is Cameo Coral  and also very antique. The base is 11 X 5 scored at 2 1/2 and 4 on each end. The card when folded is 5 X 5 1/2.

Close up of the image.

This is the back of the card. The sentiment is one of my very first stamps I bought 18 or 19 years ago.

An Easter Card for the Kids.

I had so many ideas for Easter cards for the two little ones but it took me so long to get the first one done the other just didn't make it. (I have a cute bunny for next year)

I had this side step card base hanging out of my desk for a while and thought it was perfect for the super cute "freebie" image from Bugaboo Designs.  I thought the "eggs" would be perfect I didn't have an egg die so just used a couple of different sizes ov ovals and some scraps of patterned paper, To fill in under the "eggs" I used grass die cuts and some chocolate bunnies. The grass die is from Impression Obsession and the bunnies are from Gina Marie. I bet this is the shortest blog post I've ever made.

Thanks for checking out what I've been crafting over the weekend.

Happy Easter!!!

Hello friends, family and followers, although I haven't been doing a lot of crafting, life seems to have gotten in the way of crafting and I'm still having trouble creating, hope things soon get better.  The weather is trying to warm up and soon we will be making our weekend trips to the cottage. I will have internet there this year, going to the library wasn't fun last year not to mention the 24 mile round trip. Anyway I took some time Thursday morning to make an Easter card for a friend.

I used the whole piece of alcohol ink background on this card, I mounted the oval over the hole that was cut in the background. I popped the center star up and added a pearl.

A simple gold Happy Easter die cut to finish the inside.
My friend loved her card and mentioned she sill had the one from last year isn't that sweet.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope your Easter is filled with good food and family.

Three for the Money!!!

It seems like I have been working on this card forever, it was 3 or 4 days, some days nothing goes right so you put it aside and then sometimes life gets in the way and commitments happen. Yahoo it's finished!! It's for 3 of a kind at the Jingle Belles, my second card for the challenge, so I'm on track for my one a week.

I have had the image coloured for several weeks and finally did something with it, I really wanted a doily behind the kitties but my doily die was MIA (since found it too) So looking through my box of "diecuts" I found this wreath cut in stardream white. The cute little Christmas kitties are from Bugaboo Designs. Every Friday they post a free image for you to use, how cool is that?

I carried the patterned paper to the inside and use an Artful Stamper sentiment.

Challenge #393 ~~ Use Chipboard

Donna picked the theme for the "chipboard" challenge at Shopping Our Stash. I am really not a chipboard user, I really don't know how to create with it, last year I did chipboard letters so wanted some thing different so using the backing from an old paper pad (the chipboard is thicker) I cut some ornaments. Here is my card with details.

My card is 4 X 9 1/4 it fits in a business envelope and it's extremely difficult to take a picture of it especially with the pewter ornaments. I cut the three ornaments out of the "chip board" gave each a layer of white gesso (and myself too) I embossed the ornaments in pewter (stampin'up) and attached them with pop dots and silver cord also from stampin'up, both being at least 5 years old. The white layer was dry embossed with the swiss dots cuttlebug folder.

Happy Holidays is from Neat and Tangled (chosen as a prize) and cut out of some silver scraps.

Finished inside of the card with a Stampendous sentiment embossed in pewter.

Another Christmas/Holiday card finished for my stash, I'm falling behind with my monthly quota I've made for myself, summer is coming and lots of time at the cottage for crafting, until then I need to make one a week.

Thanks for stopping by today and head over to the main blog and see what chipboard creations the rest of the design team came up with.
