This Blog is going to the Dogs..........

Hello and here we are again half way through July, wow can you believe that? Summer so far has been comfortable except not enough rain for the farmers. So it's the 15th of July and it's time for a new challenge at A Tiny Craft (ATC) Challenge and it's Dogs or Cats the choice is yours. Since I've been doing a lot of cats lately I went with dogs, as I have only used one of the stamps in this set once the rest have been unused until now. It was also the first cutting for the Dog House.

First I stamped Crumb Cake with Versafine Sepia in using the Hardwood background stamp from Stampin'up and cut them out with a doghouse die, the roof was cut 3 times and glued together for a bit of dimension, The bone is also from the dog house set. The dogs and bowls were stamped and fussy cut after colouring and both are popped up. Backgrounds are made by smooshing watercolour paper  with distress oxide inks and water

Now on to some individual photos.

The doghouse and bone are flat attached.

What a cutie pie.

I call him "spot"

Now because the set is only 3 dogs and I wanted 4 cards I had to duplicate one dog, tried to make him look different

Since bowl and two dogs and the doghouse set were used for the first time I'm entering this in.

NBUS ~~ #40

Thanks for stopping by today and check out the MAIN BLOG to see who picked dogs and who picked cats, you will be surprised, then pick cats or dogs and enter out ATC challenge.

Make it Masculine!!

Here we are on the 15th of March with a new challenge at A Tiny Craft (ATC) Challenge ~~ Masculine. I'm finding masculine atcs are as much trouble as full sized cards but after a few mind changes I finally settled on a NBUS not only one but two for my ATCs. To join in the fun (and give me lots of ideas for anything masculine) you can make cards, 2 1/2 X 3 1/2 inch rectangle used vertical or horizontal or you can make 2 1/2 inch coins. Here is my offering for the challenge I hope it inspires you.

In searching for something I spotted this great antique card die, sorry no name on it,  and in the "25th hour" I went with it. I had just finished another card and found the background paper in the same Dollarama pack I had used for a floral card. The gears are another item that has been in my die box for a few years just waiting for a use, I found some matte silver cardstock in my scrap box to cut them from.

Here is a close up of a single card, I cut two of each cars out of 110 lb black cardstock to glue them together with acetate for the windows, then they are elevated with dimensional strips. The gears are flat attached. I added think silver sticker lines to the edge of each of the cards.

Here is a side view of the ATC to show the elevation.

Here is something I have had for probably 15 years and not used much it  was always tucked away but when I saw all the tiny holes in the die that had to be poked out I remembered it. I might be the only one that is very excited about it too. Here it is.

It is from Sizzix and for use with intricate dies and as you see there are a lot of things to poke out with this die and I was cutting 8.

I'm entering this in:

ATCs around the World ~~ #87 Everything Goes

NBUS ~~ #36 (not just one but two nbus)

Thanks for visiting today and don't forget to head over to the Main Blog and check out the rest of the masculine ATCs the design team have made.

A Tiny Craft (ATC) Challenge #3 is ~~ HALLOWEEN.

Where has that last 30 days gone? just last week (it seems) it was the middle of September, being October its the perfect time for a Halloween ATC challenge....are you up for it?

I dug out some of my Halloween House Mouse images to make my set of Artist Trading Cards (no coins this time)

The backgrounds were made by blending Distress oxide inks adding some mini houses, bats, spider and the moon from other die sets. The sentiment strips are from a Kraftin'Kimmie halloween sentiment stamp, I stamped the complete stamp and cut sentiments as I needed them.

isn't she so cute in her flower costume?

Super cute in a carrot suit.
Maxwell being Fangtatic in his Dracula cape!!
Monica Mouse pretending to be a monarch butterfly, she looks so adorable.

And here is a bonus ATC.

All of the mouse images were fussy cut and popped up on foam dots.

I'm entering this in:
