Another Baby Boy Card……..

I am trying to get a stash of baby cards it seems there are some new Grandmas in the spring. I love this cute image and I made a frame for it.

I used a 5 inch square card base and layered some blue print paper on it. I put I attached the image on it. I cut the Ballet Blue with my Fleur dis lis square die and cut a circle with the small circle die, I cut a second piece of dsp with another circle and attached them together and popped the whole square with the image showing in the opening.

Hang on to your Circles…..the challenge isn’t over yet!!!

Because there are five weeks in January the circle challenge is still going on….check it out at Clear it Out Challenge Blog.

I tried a sketch. it didn’t turn out exactly like the picture I printed….but I like the way it looks, the hardest part was figuring out what colours to use. Of course we are to use “stash” so I went ‘dumpster diving” well into my odd pieces of scrap and I found a piece of shiny paper I made into a background using rubbing  alcohol; re-inkers and cotton balls, the other piece was done with re-inkers and shaving cream. Don’t you just love it when things just fall into place?

It’s a Birthday…..the Beginning of a New Year

I love my House Mouse and Friends and I am always so excited to be able to enter a card in House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge and this challenge I have entered my second one. Maybe I was stretching things a little but every time you have your birthday it’s the beginning of a new year at a new age. BTW not counting mine anymore, lol.

Mid-Challenge week at Clear it Out….Have you Joined?

New Year…….New Beginnings

Exciting news came my way last week, three of the ladies on our Facebook group, Stampin Scrappin Roadtrippers, will become grandmothers around the same time in the spring. When I heard that I decided it would be nice to be prepared. Here is the first of the baby cards I am making. Guess I had better make equal amount of pink ones too. I don’t have a lot of baby stamps but i do have a couple of House Mouse and Happy Hoppers.

I used my new decorative oval for the first time, oh what a challenge, does anyone know an easy way to get the cardstock out of the die?

Let’s get Sassy in Green………

I have a lot of Birthdays  and this card will be saved for one around March 17th. When I saw the image I knew it just had to be coloured Green. Sassy Studio Designs on Paper Craft Planet has a free Sassy image on Fridays they have all been really cute. Christmas Hugs or Kisses..with House Mouse & Friends

As usual I’m scrambling to get my card done for the House Mouse and Friends Monday challenge….I found it HERE,  The challenge closes Saturday January 12, 2013 at midnight EST.
With this card I have now started my 2013 Christmas cards, which is exciting since I was so far behind last year. I love my little rodent stamps and use them as often as I can, they are so much fun to colour with my prisma colour pencil crayons. I really haven’t found I do a very good job on them with markers.

At a hostess group before Christmas we made a snowflake card with this layering and I loved it. I needed a thank you card and decided to try my hand at the technique. I saw it for the first time at Stamp and Scrap with Frenchie and you will find her video on how to replicate the card HERE.

Happy New Year, at this time I would like to wish all my friends and followers a Happy and Prosperous 2013. It is hard to believe another whole year has passed,  For some reason or other I can’t get out of the Winter mode for cards. I got way behind and my friends are now getting “warm winter wishes” cards. The sponsor is Bugaboo Digi Stamps the theme is warm fuzzies and the stash item is to use texture on your project. I textured the background with a snowflake embossing folder and the blue snowflakes I have had for two years they are very shiny.

I dug out my glitter cardstock again for another glitzy card. The image I used is a digital from Sassy Studio Designs, check them out they have some fun images. The sentiment is from Grapicat Designs, which is a Canadian company, they have everything there, clear, rubber, and digi stamps as well as embellishments.
