Peace on Earth (Day)

I am really trying hard to do  the Jingle Belles prompts but so far I can't seem to get things going until the last days of the challenge, at least I am earlier than last prompt. As you see the challenge is Earth Day which means recycle something to use, well I spotted a gift card from 2024 in my old card stash and knew it was perfect to upcycle and at the same time I saw a new way to do the Eclipse technique which is perfect for the image.

The gift card was 4 inches square, perfect size for a 5 1/2 inch square card, since there are many ways to do this new way of Eclipse I played around deciding circles, squares then I saw the hexagon dies on the desk I think I have been trying to incorporate them into a card for a while. I think this was the first time using the scalloped square dies from Elizabeth Craft designs and the embossing folder is Softly Falling from Stampin'up (my favourite winter EF)

I thought the sentiment was perfect for the gnomes.

H is for Happy Birthday

Hello friends and fellow crafty people, it's a new month and a new challenge at the Sisterhood of snarky stampers and it's just in time for my youngest son's birthday...H is for Happy Birthday. Again I chose a snarky cat but he is a Birthday cat next year I need to find something other than the snarky cats. Last year's card he said was the best ever I am not sure I can top that.  Now here is Edna to announce the new challenge.

What a party Edna has been the recipient of !!
Now here is what I made for the party

I wanted a plaid background but didn't want it to look like Christmas plaid so was very excited to find this in my 6 x 6 patterned papers it went perfectly with the gray and black cardstock, I dry embossed the matte finish silver panel with the diamond plate folder and layered it on a postage stamp die cut, sentiment is from another snarky cat set. The cat was fussy cut and popped up.

The inside was finished with scraps of the patterned paper and a sentiment that can be used for many occasions that only happen once every 365 days.

Thanks for stopping by today and head over to the main blog and check out what the rest of the design team have made.

C is for Cold

Welcome to a new challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers, the prompt or the month of March is C is for Cold. I heard we will be having another "cold" snap next weekend so I'm going to enjoy the double digits while I can. Sorry no Edna prompt this challenge, my laptop was being a pita and I finally lost patience after 2 hours of trying to get pages to load, good job there was only one photo to edit.

I used the snow-bear grumpling and  the sentiment from the same set, I found the sky, snowbanks, and trees in my "parts" box so I was half way  already. I fussy cut the snow-bear flat attached the base but popped up the head and body, wasn't sure about doing the fussy cutting as my scissors are mia, and I just fussy cut a santa yesterday. I'm going to blame the cat on this one.

Thanks for stopping by today and hope to see your C is for Cold project on our gallery.

B is for Black Black Heart

Hello and welcome to a new month and a new challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!!

The theme is Valentine with black or anti Valentine. Took me a while to figure something out but I saw a meme that caught my fancy and went with it and a snarky cat.

Since my great grandson is all Halloween I'm giving this to him for Valentines day, he might agree with the quote.

I found the scrap of glitter black cardstock in the black file folder, I cut the heart and flat attached it all but the top bit so I could tuck the cat in it. The snarky cat is flat attached under the heart but the rest is elevated as you can see in the photo.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out the rest of the design team cards on the  Main Blog.

C is for Cheeky Christmas

Oh my it's December? So it means a new challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers and as always the theme for December is C is for Cheeky Christmas. And here is some eye candy for you.

I had a bit of trouble coming up with a plan for this month as I'm still in a state of disorganization after the summer, stamp I wanted to use is MIA so on to the second choice the snarky cats, and there are so many to decide from but here is my mini slimline card which will be used as a money holder for Christmas.

I coloured and fussy cut the snarky cat on the sled and popped him up precariously on a snow hill, the sky was blended with distress oxide inks. The sentiment was also on the same set.

A side view to see the elevation, inside is not finished yet but will include a "fence" to hold the cash.

Thanks for visiting today and I'm sure you can come up with something a little more cheeky than I did. Do check out the SoSS blog and see what the rest of the design team have made.

Spooky

Hello and welcome to my blog and a new month, October and you know what that means...........witches and goblins, bats and ghosts so for the month of October the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers are helping you get some Spooky cards made, don't forget to read the updated rules on the main blog then add your creation to the gallery. Here is your invitation from Edna on our behalf.

Lee has outdone herself with this visual so we hope you will join the fun.

Here is my not very snarky offering, I had more plans but I haven't made the transition to crafting at home from the cottage and forgot the items I had planned on using but as you know every crafter does not have one idea she/he usually has many options so I found this cute Halloween cat set, coloured a couple (my markers came home) and decided this one looked a little more "Spookier", the sentiments are from the same set. First time using the 3D skull/web embossing folder, I'm already seeing more ideas for the folder.

Closer look at the EF and the Halloween cat.

Finally Fall!!

Not that I had Fall to arrive so fast this year but we have to roll with the weather we are served. Here's hoping for a rerun of some summer. Challenge #266 at the Sisterhood is.........

I don't think Edna is appropriately dressed for leaf diving and I'm not ready either.
I hope you can join the challenge and adorn our blog with some Fall Leaves.

First time all summer I have had a chance to take a picture by the lake, I especially like when I take photos of my Holiday cards.
My card is made with an embossing folder on brown cardstock and I used the metallic wax set with my fingers all over using the red, green and copper. I added it to a holographic layer then I had to decide if I wanted a red or brown base and as you see the red one.

On the inside I added a strip of holographic paper and a couple of leaves and a favourite sentiment stamp.

Thanks for stopping by and checking the new challenge at SoSS, don't forget to check out the blog and see the great leafy creations the design team have made.

A is for Aliens

For the month of August we are delving into outer space and Aliens at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers.

Beam Edna up Scottie

For the second Alien challenge I have not located my alien stamps so I went the second option a Galaxy.

I made the galaxy background with blending shades of distress oxide inks an then using an IO stamp inked with yellow brilliance ink for the milky way, the sentiment is from a SU set long retired. It was fussy cut and popped up.

Thanks for rocketing by today and check out the rest of the design team projects, especially the mini books.

R is for RUDE

Welcome to a new Month and a new Challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers and I will let Edna introduce the theme.

Now that is just rude, every parking lot has one or two.

While flipping through a box of my snarky cats and sentiments I saw the sentiment and thought "perfect"  and when I spotted the cat reaching for the butterfly "double perfect?, now the yellow butterfly is not the original one as sadly I clipped a wing while fussy cutting, so I was digging through a container of extras and along with the butterfly I found a partial piece of fence, voila something to use as a springboard. The background is from a DCVW pad I've had kicking around for at least 15 years. The cat is on a wobble I have a video but still cannot figure out how to attach it here.

I finished the inside a sentiment can be added later.

Thanks for stopping by and check out the Main Blog to see the rude cards the rest of the design team have made.

M is for Masculine

Hello friends and followers, it's been a terrible start to 2025 I managed to catch a bug that was going around and I was down with a bronchial virus for 8 weeks, I have not kept up with my design team duties. on the up side I lost 10 pounds, now I need to build up my strenth.

The new challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers is M is for  Masculine and it  came at the right time as I needed a card for my youngest son's birthday on March 31st, I don't worry about him seeing it before that day he doesn't have any social media.

Of course I had to bring out the snarky cats, I pondered which to use and planned on a B&W card until I found out I had no shiny black cardstock so used the holographic paper pad I picked up at Dollarama eons ago. I love how the big birthday die cut stands out. I finished it with some tiny black pearls from the Eyelet Outlet that I had in my stash.

Side view which shows I popped the snarky cat up and the die cut is layered 3 black and the holographic die cut on top.

Finished the inside with a scrap of holographic paper and a sentiment. (sorry no snark today)

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to head over and see the really great masculine cards the rest of the team have made. (now they have snark)

Ho, Ho, Ho

Merry Christmas from Edna and the designers at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers.

Challenge #257 is H is for Ho, Ho, Ho and is our last challenge of 2024 but we will be back in 2025 for more fun, frivolity and snark.

Yes it's another mini  slimline and another snarky cat, cat and presents were fussy cut. I found a smooshed background in my parts box it was A2 size so added the snow hill to the bottom. The presents were flat attached but the cat is popped up. I dug out my liquid pearls had to de-clog it and warm it up then I added it to his hat.

Close up, I do need to finish the inside as I ran out of time on Friday.

I am adding this to:

Critter Alert!!

Welcome to a new challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers, for the month of November we are showing off our Critters and look how many critters Edna has rounded up.

I decided on one for my card.

I must admit I have had all pieces for this card for weeks but as usual life took over and I couldn't find time to execute it. The background was a "fail" (I thought) but tucked it in the file folder with green scraps and it surfaced as I was searching for something else and thought hmm doesn't look half bad, and had the look I was aiming for to go with the snarky cat. (sorry no snark though) The sentiment was die cut 3 times and layered together and the snarky cat was fussy cut and popped up. It's a guy card so no bling.

Side look to see the dimension.

finished the inside with a scrap of the background paper and a masculine feeling sentiment.

I'm adding this to

Seize the Birthday ~~ Anything Goes

Thanks for visiting today and check out the critters the rest of the design team have used to inspire you to join in the challenge.

H is for Halloween *Pink is Optional

Another new month another new challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers, Edna has gone overboard on her invitation to play along.

Kudos to Lee for the fabulous graphic.
As you see it is H is or Halloween *pink optional I usually make a pink Halloween card but I was just too excited with the snarky Halloween cat.

I have had all the components for the card but the background it seemed so daunting but with Saturday looming I needed to bite the bullet and git 'er done. I ink blended  spun sugar, villanous potion, uncharted mariner and black soot over a circle mask, bats are flat attached but the main image is elevated.

Picture to show the dimension.

The inside is finished with a computer generated verse and a scrap of patterned paper. (not sure I like it either, too late. lol)

I would like to add this to:

Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge ~~ Anything Halloween

A is for Autumn

A new month and a new challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers. check out what Edna has been up to for September.

The obvious for the challenge would be fall leaves in an array of reds oranges and yellow but I took a different approach to Autumn so check it out.

It's an Anti-Pumpkin Spice card!! The look on the snarky cat's face says it all. I coloured and fussy cut the cat and pumpkin, blended a fall sky. The pumpkin is popped up as is the head of the cat. I then added the die cut sentiment.

Had to add a close up of his face.

Close up of the computer generated sentiment.

Thanks for checking my blog today and don't forget to check out the MAIN BLOG to see what my teamies have made, then dig out your Autumn supplies, make a project and add it to our Gallery, You have until the last Friday of September to enter, you just might get voted the Queen of Snark.

Summertime............and the living is easy.

Well did you sing along? It's the first Saturday of a new month so the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers is having a new  challenge so here is our beloved Edna to show you all about it.

As you see S is for Summer so let's give it our best "shot" and here is mine.

Nothing more Summer than laying on a blanket with an umbrella on the beach listening to the waves rolling in.  Since I am trying to keep things a bit simpler I decided not to use an image that was too intricate to colour and since I chose the super cute happy hopper i just couldn't add any snark. I  attempted to make a beachy background with distress oxide inks on watercolour paper I really like the paint flicking part to make it look like sand. I added a couple of Eyelet Outlet  sea shell brads, a cloud from my odds box. I flat attached the blanket/bunny but popped the umbrella up.

I suppose you are thinking "what the heck, a Christmas sentiment" well it's a dual purpose one as my card is for the Physio girl that is going on vacation.

I am entering this in

Thanks for stopping by and check out the MAIN BLOG I'm sure there will be some great summer snark there.
