Getting Sketch-y!!

Hello crafty peeps and welcome to my post for the New challenge at Shopping Our Stash!! it's a sketch.

Here is the sketch, so shop your stash and create something following (as close as you can) the sketch above, you can flip it and make a horizontal card, even tip it upside down, all is good as long as we can see the sketch.  I followed the sketch to a "T". I use sketches all the time but when faced with one for a challenge I seem to get the "deer in the headlights look" and struggle but here iete is.

For my image I used a mini Stampendous stamp I have a "boatload" of them, all occasion and Christmas and since I'm falling behind on my monthly plan to make at least 6 holiday cards a month I just thought I would try to get caught up. The stamp had never seen ink and I am sure it is 4 years old, The embossing folder is older too and one of my favourites, it's Sizzix from Stampin'up called Softly falling. The ribbon is sparkly and quite stiff, I taped it down with soo-wang tape and I have no idea how old it is, my guess is at least 10 years The penguin was coloured and fussy cut and flat attached to the watercoloured background I had in my scrap box and te snow was also an already cut scrap in the same box. I like to see if I have any larger scraps  before I cut a full sheet.

Close up of the super adorable penguin.

Finished the inside with a scrap of red and a Stampendous sentiment. (one of my first sentients I bought when I started stamping)

I'm entering this in:

Thanks for stopping by today and checking out the challenge for Shopping Our Stash, head over and check out the different ways the Design Team members have interpreted the sketch.

Hi Barbara,
Happy Rudolf Days.
Wonderful cards and the Rudolf one looks brilliant and that satamped image is so cute.
Love your inky background and the embossing folder used.
Great colouring of your stamped image also.
Thank you for joining the Rudolf Challenge.

Cute penguin, he's really fun, and the snowy background always works. The red looks festive, bringing it all together.

Oh my gosh that is a supercute penguin and as usual you've colored him perfectly; I love how you fussycut him and put him on the watercolor "sky"... then that pretty snowy e/f extends the scene out into the rest of the sketch! Brilliant job of SHOPPING YOUR (sketchy!) STASH! ♥♥♥
