How many of you are singing the Burl Ives song Silver and Gold from the Christmas Classic Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer? I know I was. I still like to watch those vintage Christmas movies takes me back to the time my children were little and we watched all the movies. On to my Silver and Gold card.
I seemed to have gone pretty CAS with this (shock) I cut a Gina Marie wreath die out of both silver and gold metallic posterboard (len's mills) I also cut the Peace from gold and two extra white die cuts to give it some height, I flat attached it to white/silver shimmer paper (Michaels) then on a layer of silver and one of gold then on a 5 1/2 X 5 1/2 inch square base.
This certainly isn't the easiest to photograph but it shows the two different colour wreaths.
Finished the inside with a gold edge sticker and a sentiment.
I'm entering this in:

Gald I wasn't the only one breaking out into song every single time I looked at that graphic! Beautiful wreathed card, Barbara! Thanks for being with us at Color Hues and please come back again soon!
Whoa, it _is_ quite CAS! I think silver and gold suit a cleaner look, though. This is beautiful, thanks for joining us at Color Hues!
How on earth did I miss this one? I know I saw it and thought I commented but I was probably half-asleep at the time! I'm having bad insomnia lately, waking up at 1:30 or 2 a.m. each morning. I need some sleep! Your card is stunning, Barb! I love how you used silver and gold together for this elegant wreath! Beautiful card, my friend!
A very elegant card. I like Gina Marie dies. They always cut so well. I wouldn't havethought to mix silver and gold like this but it has worked so well. Sorry i am so late visiting. Life etc.. Kate x
