SOS #193 “I Made This”

Looking for my Clear it Out Post? scroll down or click HERE.
The Shopping Our Stash has a FABULOUS challenge this week, I Made This!!! make your own background (not just stamping a background stamp) - could be collage, paint, tape, stamp, stencil, or even to alter patterned paper with doodles, what a great chance to try a new technique which is what I did. As most of you know my craft room is being organized and the things that have surfaced I am very excited about.  About 8 or more years ago I saw a card at Stamp Art in London Ontario, I bought the stamp and 7 cat’s eyes chalk inks and put them away for safe keeping they have been found and thanks to this challenge they have been opened and used.  The background I made with these chalk inks is called Drunken Chalks and the tutorial can be found on Splitcoast stampers.

I kept the card simple as to show the background.  This was my second attempt I really liked the pink/purple one better but I had to cut it down so it wasn’t A2 size, so look for a card made with it in the near future.

this stamp was purchased at a bargain store for $2.00 and it is the first time it has seen ink. The card was made with scraps out of the scrap bucket. So I was using up my stash big time. The inside isn’t finished and no sentiment as it can be used for get well, birthday or thinking of you.
I’m entering this in:
Hiding in My Craft Room Super Scraps Saturday
Come and Get it challenge blog make your own background
Use Your Stuff Create your own background.

Thanks for stopping by today so head to your craft room and get yourself inky making your own background and enter it in Shopping Our Stash “I Made This” and tell us what technique you used (we might want to try it)

I love this technique, though I've never tried it. YAY for re-finding the stuff to make it! I kind of like that whole re-discovery thing - makes life so exciting.
