Jingle All The Way with Merry Monday

I love to get reminders that there is still time to enter a challenge, Merry Monday Christmas Challenge jogged my memory that I was working on an idea for their challenge, I picked my image and found Tuesday Morning Sketches was perfect for the image I had chosen. Have a look and see what I've done.

Fluffles again making lots of noise, I just love these cute kittens no longer on the Stampendous site.

Shopping Our Stash Challenge # 240 ~~ One is a Lonely Number ~~ One Layer Card

Looking for my Clear it Out post scroll down or click HERE.

Shopping Our Stash  has done a fabulous job of creating "my nemesis" One Layer Cards, I think I do one or two every year and always for a challenge for the design team. I'm totally lost when I can "add" more and more but I bit the bullet, took one for the team and made a One Layer Card!!!

For my card I used Very Vanilla cardstock, Tim Holtz distress markers and Inspired by Nature set from Stampin'up to create a watercolour look (I hope)

The sentiment is from the same set but the butterfly is from a different Stampin'up set called Nature Walk (retired) and coloured with the distress markers.

I made a few errors along the way to the finished product but I am pleased with it. Thanks for stopping by today and the SOS team would love to see how you create One Layer Card.

Welcome Back to a New Challenge at Clear it Out Tuesday!!!

Clear it Out Tuesday's Challenge #105's theme is use food related digis and the stash item is plaids (gingham ribbon, plaid patterned paper) The sponsors for the challenge are Robyns Fetish Digital Stamps and Star Stampz. I used a cute digi from Robyns Fetish.

This is a real fun image and the sentiment was computer generated, the candy dots are my home made ones and I remembered what the stash item was before the card was totally finished.

Close up of the image and I even got the sewing machine out did some stitching.

Finished the inside for an Anniversary card and added more plaid.

Jingle Belles Rock!!! and They are Still Having Fun with "TEXT"

Wow I had time to make another Christmas card for the Jingle Belles Rock challenge "TEXT", I had this in my mind all week and this morning while "looking" for something I came across some crocheted mats that Jessi makes and sells, I won them in a TMS challenge.

Seasons Greetings is from Impression Obsession of course the crocheted oval mat from Jessi and the embossing folder is Gently Falling from Stampin'up

Finished the inside with a sentiment on the top note die cut.

Bunches of Birthday Wishes

Hello my friends, family and followers thanks for stopping by today to see what I have been creating, and that is a Birthday card for my stash and for the Allsorts challenge week 351 ~~ Birthday Wishes.
I found this image in my pile of stamped images someone gave me so I'm not sure on who it belongs to. (Kitty do you know this one?)

Every once in a while I step out of my Pink/Purple haze and make a yellow card and this is it.

It's Challenge Time at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers ~~ M is for Mixed Media

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers wants you to get inky and show us some Mixed Media. I must mention I am not at all into mixed media like the rest of the design team, their projects are fabulous but I did some (a lot) of surfing of techniques and mixed media and settled on making a tag, I figured I couldn't mess something that small up and I didn't.
First I cut two tags with the Tim Holtz tag die and unwrapped the dylusions sprays I bought around the end of the year, I have turquoise and purple two of my favourite colours. I then spritzed the tag with water then the dylusions sprays, mopped up the over spray with the tag then gave it a shot of simmer spray. With that said...her is my tag.

Once the tag dried I dug a few odd stamps out, french script, the art of life and Take time and sort of stamped not so randomly. I have only used stencils once so I dug out the message wreath from Hero Arts and pondered, what if I mess this part up I will have to start over, but I manage to use the dauber and purple distress ink and was pleased with the outcome. To finish it off I added some metal dots and a butterfly.

I love this stamp from Stampabilities.

I am sure this won't be the last time I attempt Mixed Media, I have a small canvas I would like to try something on but that means more surfing and stressing, but I hope a lot of fun.

Thanks for stopping by today and check out the SoSS Blog and see what awesome project the rest of the design team have done.

Anyone for Skating?

Merry Monday Christmas Challenge was new last Monday and I wanted to get it done but it took me all week to find some time to work on it. A friend asked me to make her a couple of birthday cards so that went to the top of the crafting list but when I coloured the images I sneaked in a cute little mousie and I found a bit of time this morning to put my card together.

I don't know the company this little skating mouse is from as I received it from a friend but with the berries in his hat it qualified for the Berries challenge at Merry Monday.

Before Christmas I bought a skate die and it's the first I have used it, I have a holly punch from EK and I punched the holly and berries and attached them with the skates.

I used the same embossing folder for the inside as I did the front.
