Here Comes Suzy Snowflake!!!

At Shopping Our Stash this fortnight Chris is the hostess and is anticipating a lot of snowflake cards. We here in Southern Ontario haven't seen any snowflakes, a lot of really heavy frost on the roof-tops.  Around Lake Erie it's been very wild with wind and rain and the lake was furious, our cottage was high and dry even though we are only a couple hundred feet from the lake, we are very happy there is a block break-wall. Thats where I take the photos of my cards all summer. Anyway back to the challenge just add a snowflake or lots of snowflakes to you project, let us know what stash you use too.

It's a miracle that I got a card finished at all, I decided on Saturday to take a road trip to have Eggs Benny at a fav. place (only serve the first weekend of the month) then to the Good Bread Company to pick up a loaf of Squash/Raisin bread. A check of the cottage and a visit with neighbours and ending with a nice long visit with a fabulous lady. As you see I was gone most of Saturday well trying to craft on Sunday was a major chore with a 2 year old cat insisting she have never-ending attention. First I made my background then coloured the stamped image with Spica Glitter pens and fussy cut it out. The stamp I used is an long retired set from Stampin'up I embossed the background with one of the first folders I bought from Cuttlebug, snowflakes. Let it Snow is from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Close up of the image and as you see I added a few rhinestones to centers of some of the snowflake die cut (which I can't remember who it is from)

Inside was completed with a snowflake border and a stampendous sentiment.

Warm Winter Wishes

I decided to go masculine with my card,  with a Warm Winter Wishes sentiment on the inside (when I find it) I'm still trying to get my crafting supplies back to their original homes. I think I'm losing the battle.  Coffee or Cocoa and chocolate chip cookies are so good together, just have a look.

I used a background stamp from Stampendous it pairs well with several house mouse stamps I have, this one is a fairly new one and it's the first time it has seen ink and is called Cookie Crumbles featuring Mudpie and Muzzy.

Close up of the image, in hindsight it would have looked more "festive" if I had coloured the mug red. but I really like brown and blue together and it was masculine.

Woo Hoo I have the first tag done for the 25 days of Christmas Tags challenge , I played along  or rather was "pushed" along by Lindsey a couple of years ago and it was fun, I'm hoping to find time to keep up this year. Of all the tags for inspiration I chose Lindsey's tag, you will find it HERE

I used Joyful Christmas set from Stampin'up I used Egyptian Gold embossing powder on velum, added some Starform red/gold dots to the center (covering up the adhesive) Cut the oval and embossed twice with the Egyptian gold embossing powder cut with a smaller circle and glued it to an oval base, added a pop of colour with the sentiment and attached a red ribbon with a gold cord.

T is for Tea at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers.

A new challenge is happening for the next two weeks at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers and it's T is for Tea. I think that is self explanatory we want to see teacups, teapots, teabags anything to do with TEA.
Check out the Aweesome graphic Sister Lee has made for us.

I only have two images one with a teacup and one with a teapot, so with time ticking along I picked the easier one to colour.

Feeling Rosy with Maxwell, he sure has enjoyed his rose hip tea, look at that face!! I paired this super cute  stamped image with the Freshly Made Sketch from this weeks challenge.  The embossing folder is cherry blossom (cuttlebug) and the patterned paper is very old it's from a Kitchen 12 X 12 pad I bought when we were doing Recipe Card swaps.  Since I'm not sure on the occasion (we all need a few generic cards) I just used Hello as the sentiment.

I just couldn't resist a close-up of Maxwell.

Now the inside is finished but blank, I figured this is a good card to just say Hello or to send as a get well card, Maxwell will bring a smile to anyone's face.

Jingle All The Way!!!

Back again with another "Jingle" card for Christmas Kickstart, I had trouble deciding which stamp I would use for the challenge so I just made both. I love my Fluffles stamps and it's so sad that they are no longer available at Stampedous but I'm sure you can find them on e-bay or other auction places.

I used the current sketch challenge at Mojo Monday I knew it was perfect for the super cute fluffles image. I really love Julee's sketches and am so happy to have them back,  a lot of her sketches come with measurements for the different components of the sketch (this was one) saves a lot of guesswork. I followed the sketch, added some sticker dots to the flags and JOY at the bottom right under the watermark.

Finished the inside with some leftover scraps of paper and a Stampendous sentiment.

Joyous Noel!!

Jingle all the Way is the theme of Christmas Kickstart challenge, I missed getting a card in for the last one but I'm on top of it this time. Of course I used one of my many House Mouse images, Joyous Noel.

Coloured with a combination alcohol markers and spica glitter pens, The background is embossed with the cuttlebug snowflakes, Merry Christmas is a sticker sentiment and I added a few rhinestones on some of the snowflake centers. I'm working on flat cards for mailing this year, the last few cards I've sent have cost me double +10 cents.

Finished the inside with some mouse tracks and a sentiment from Kraftin' Kimmie stamps.

I am entering this in a few challenges:

Christmas Kickstart ~~ Jingle all the way

Jingle Belles ~~ Rudolph and Friends (critters)

What do you do with an Awesome Sketch? Well make a card!!

When I saw the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches I knew it was perfect for the coloured image that was sitting on my desk, and I just happened to need a card for Rudolph Days!!

Again I used Fluffles, I just love the stamps from Stampendous, sad they are retired but I still use them. I just loved this sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches it was so perfect for the image and I got to use WASHI TAPE!! (from tapeworks) The white enamel dots are from the Eyelet Outlet and the patterned paper is from Stampin'up love that plaid. (many many years old)

Every cat lover around can relate to the "climbing of the tree" season. I coloured the tree and ornaments with spica glitter pens, although you can't see the sparkle in the picture.

Finished the inside with some scraps of paper and a perfect for the image sentiment.
