Challenge #195~~~No Foolin’

If you are looking for my Clear it Out post scroll down or click HERE.
The new challenge at  Shopping Our Stash is No Foolin’ so we want you to -- use a faux technique (faux stitching, faux silk, faux whatever)3
I decided to make a Faux Leather gift/money card wallet, we had made one years ago at a Stampin’up class, here is the tutorial I used for the basic measurements and technique but I decided to use the Bubbles cuttlebug folder and embossed the outside piece of cardstock then covered it with versamark watermark and clear embossing powder then heat set it.

Here is the inside
IMG_2750
There are four pockets and it opens to put money in it instead of a gift card.

Clear it Out Tuesday wants you to Clear it Out!!!

Challenge #72 at Clear it Out Tuesday is Clear it Out we want you to use 2 or more things from your hoarded stash. The sponsor for the challenge is one of my favourites, Lacy Sunshine.
IMG_2782
I chose this super cute daisy flower pot image, I coloured with my copics and it’s my very first center step card.I found the tutorial HERE, at split coast stampers. My stash is the two butterflies and the 4 flowers, I bought a package of Bridal embellishments at least 4 years ago and I finally opened and used some.

Silhouettes is the Challenge at the Cheerful Stamp Pad

Of course when I see the word Silhouettes it takes me back to my teen years in 1957 the Rays had a single Silhouettes, I listened to it a lot. In case you want to tune in to some '50s music just click HERE.
At the Cheerful Stamp Pad we  don’t need a song but we would like to see your project with a silhouette on it. Stitchy Bear Outlet/Floppy Latte is the sponsor for the challenge and they were so generous with some fabulous silhouettes for us to use. Here is what I made.
IMG_2786
I have a friend that loves black so I hope she likes my Easter/Spring card I’ve made with this sweet image. The patterned paper I found at Winners and once out of the package I don’t know who it is by but it has B&W, white and silver, lots that are shiny and fun to use. I used a smaller circle die to cut the patterned paper so it framed the image. The scalloped circle is really shiny.

IMG_2788
Here is the inside of the card, the sentiment is one of 4 sentiments from Hero Arts. Spring, summer, Fall and Winter.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you can find some time to get crafty and join us for the Silhouettes challenge.

Shopping Our Stash Challenge #194~~Neon Rainbow.

Looking for my Clear it Out Tuesday post? scroll down or click HERE.
Challenge #194 Neon Rainbow at Shopping Our Stash was a tough one for me, although I have lots of neon cardstock I really couldn’t think of something to do. So I decided to make a Neon Sunburst card. Check out the main blog for the rules to enter. The challenge is simple you can use a rainbow -- rainbow image or rainbow colors --- OR --- use Neon) so here is what I finally came up with. Sunglasses might be required.
IMG_2774
I cut the  4 strips of paper and stamped them with a Hero Arts background stamp with Memento Tuxedo black. I found the tutorial for the sunburst HERE.

Thanks for stopping by today and I would love to see your idea of Neon Rainbow so get busy and enter your project at the main blog.

A Little Birdie Told Me~~~It’s Challenge Time!!!

Clear it Out Tuesday has a new challenge and the theme is Birthday and the stash item is polka dot papers. we always need to have a birthday card or two in our stash so I hope you will join in the fun. The sponsor is a favourite of mine, Bugaboo Designs and I chose this super cute bird sporting a jazzy hat. I also spotted a great sketch from Sketch Saturday which worked perfect for the image.
IMG_2768
Oh my goodness, another lime green and blue card,  I don’t suppose you really noticed this is two in a row. I really like this colour combo and do use it quite often. The die cuts I used are Sizzix edgelets and banner dies. and the old stand-by spellbinder circles. The sentiment was computer generated and says A Little Birdie Told Me…..
IMG_2769

IMG_2770
The polka dot paper has been shifted from one box to another and back again so when it surfaced the other day I knew it was perfect for the challenge. The sentiment on the inside is also computer generated.  Everything used here is from my scrap file box.

Week 2 of Challenge #107~~ we are still In The Garden

Welcome to the second week of the In the Garden Challenge at The Cheerful Stamp Pad. The sponsor is Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet.  The image I used is from BBKakes called Dirty Work and I chose the girl image. I’m on a roll with green these days and pairing it up with blue is so much fun.  I used the current sketch from Digi Sketch Challenge blog. The Theme is Anything goes and you can also use the sketch so I qualify for two entries. Here is my card……
IMG_2771
I used my sizzix daisy die and cut 4 of the small flower and added a couple of buttons from my stash, I thought it carried through the daisies on her hat.
IMG_2772
Closer look at the flowers and image.

Inside of the card, this sentiment is from a set I have never used it’s and old PSX thick red rubber and deeply etched too.

Happy Spring, wow it seemed like a loooooooooooong time coming but days are longer and warmer soon we will be seeing crocuses peeking out of the dirt in the flower beds. Where the snow has slid off the roof there is a three foot pile it will take a while to have that melt.  Back to the challenge at The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers since it is only a couple of weeks until Easter our challenge for you is E is for Easter, lets see your Easter creations. I have two cards for you to look at today, the first one I just HAD to follow Freshly Make Sketches Sketch #178 it fit my plans perfect.
IMG_2765
This is a fabulous sketch and featured a House Mouse stamp from House Mouse Designs.
IMG_2766
Adorable little guy isn’t he.
IMG_2767
Since I haven’t any Easter verses I just used this Hero Arts verse I have had for at least 10 years.
IMG_2762
I used the same stamp from House Mouse Designs ( I just bought it) I am not sure where I got the Friend definition from but thought it would be nice to put on a card for one of my very good friends. I used Spellbinders label 8 and decorative labels 8 and a butterfly embossing folder.

SOS #193 “I Made This”

Looking for my Clear it Out Post? scroll down or click HERE.
The Shopping Our Stash has a FABULOUS challenge this week, I Made This!!! make your own background (not just stamping a background stamp) - could be collage, paint, tape, stamp, stencil, or even to alter patterned paper with doodles, what a great chance to try a new technique which is what I did. As most of you know my craft room is being organized and the things that have surfaced I am very excited about.  About 8 or more years ago I saw a card at Stamp Art in London Ontario, I bought the stamp and 7 cat’s eyes chalk inks and put them away for safe keeping they have been found and thanks to this challenge they have been opened and used.  The background I made with these chalk inks is called Drunken Chalks and the tutorial can be found on Splitcoast stampers.
IMG_2757
I kept the card simple as to show the background.  This was my second attempt I really liked the pink/purple one better but I had to cut it down so it wasn’t A2 size, so look for a card made with it in the near future.
IMG_2758
this stamp was purchased at a bargain store for $2.00 and it is the first time it has seen ink. The card was made with scraps out of the scrap bucket. So I was using up my stash big time. The inside isn’t finished and no sentiment as it can be used for get well, birthday or thinking of you.
I’m entering this in:
Hiding in My Craft Room Super Scraps Saturday
Come and Get it challenge blog make your own background
Use Your Stuff Create your own background.

Thanks for stopping by today so head to your craft room and get yourself inky making your own background and enter it in Shopping Our Stash “I Made This” and tell us what technique you used (we might want to try it)

Easter is the Theme…..Pastel things are the Stash!!!

Challenge #70 at Clear it Out Tuesday  is Easter and the stash item/items are pastel things, brads, buttons, diecuts, flowers or what every you have in your stash. Whoopsie Daisy is the sponsor and we were given some awesome images to play with. Here is my take on the challenge.
IMG_2752
I picked this super sweet baby in a basket of tulips and daisies. My pastel stash is pink ribbon and the three pastel brads and of course the Fleur Dis Lis rectangle die cut.
IMG_2753
What a sweetie holding the decorated egg.
IMG_2754
The Easter verse was printed last year but never used it on a card and it fit perfect for this one. In order to print the sentiments and other things I do I need to buy a new print program as both printmaster cds don’t work on windows 7. I am next to useless doing things in word.
I would like to add this to:
Whoopsie Daisy challenge Blog. Add a sentiment or ATG if you use a Whoopsie Daisy image.
Thanks for visiting today and we would like to see your Easter/pastel things project on  the Clear it Out Tuesday. blog.

The Cheerful Stamp Pad invites you to “In the Garden”

The challenge at The Cheerful Stamp Pad is “in the Garden” which means we want to see anything pertaining to gardens or gardening. The sponsor for the challenge is Stitchy Bear Digital Outlet and I chose an image from Kaz Katz at Stitchy Bear Outlet and it’s called Beary Happy Bloom. I thought it would make a great Feel Better card.
IMG_2755
I decided to use one of my “hard to use colours” which is green but I really like the patterned paper and have no idea who made it. I added the Hello and a few rhinestones.
IMG_2756
Now don’t you think this cute little bear would put a smile on anyone’s face that was a little under the weather?
Thanks for visiting today and I hope we will meet you “In The Garden” for the challenge at The Cheerful Stamp Pad.

How about a little St. Patrick’s day Treat?

I usually make treats for the ladies at our bowling league and I was so busy at Valentine’s I missed making treats for them so decided to make some for St. Patrick’s Day. I bought a bag of Lindt candies at Winners a couple of weeks ago, they were just a small treat so made a match book holder. Since I was making 30 of them I needed it to be simple so I made my own design. Measurements will follow.
IMG_2745
Here are 6 of them, I used my St. Patrick’s day Fluffles Stamp of course it is the only one I have.
IMG_2746
the cardstock measures 6 1/2 X 2 inches and scored at 1/2 inch 3 1/2 and 3 3/4.  Fold up the 1/2 inch section and I used some score tape but it really didn’t stick well with the pressure of the flap so put two staples in along the bottom. There isn’t really a lot to do although it needs a sentiment and I don’t have a St. Patrick’s day one.
IMG_2747
Here is the creamy chocolate treat I taped to the inside -

Thanks for stopping by today and come back again soon, you are always welcome.

SOS #192 Counting On You

Looking for my Clear it Out post scroll down or click HERE
Sorry for the late posts this morning the time change takes me a long time to get used to, I’m so tired at night I’m in bed early and I seem to manage to sleep in at least an hour extra in the morning  which works out to 9 hours. This morning I woke up and realized I went to bed before I did my blog posts, so I’m blaming the time change.  So on with the challenge at Shopping Our Stash!!!. Counting on You, we would like to see numbers on your project. Here is mine……
IMG_2743
All cardstock and number paper (leftover from an ATC swap) were in my scrap file box, the flower was sitting on my table with the flower eyelet already on it, a left over thought for another challenge.  The Happy Birthday was bought at a yard sale before I even knew what paper crafting was.
IMG_2744
I even have numbers on the inside of the card.
The sketch I used is from the Crooked Stamper CSSC #2
CSSC#2-90R
This is a fabulous sketch, no matter which way you flip it.
Thanks for looking today and have a fabulously crafty week.

Colour Challenge~~Orange at Clear it Out Tuesday!!

For me an Orange challenge is really a challenge but as a crafter we have to be diverse and do what is necessary.  The sponsor is Meljen’s Designs and they are giving 4 images for the challenge.   Head over to Clear it Out Tuesday and see the rules and get inspiration from the rest of the Design Team. Here is what I came up with for the Orange challenge and the Stash item is Orange things.
IMG_2740
I chose this super cute Sunflower buggies image from Meljen’s Designs, of course had to do it in the traditional colour of sunflowers and the orange on the other flowers. My stash is the rhinestones and all the cardstock was in my scraps file folder. ( I use a hanging file folder box and have the colours separated into the hanging folders)
IMG_2741
Since the image was larger than my largest rectangle die I fussy cut the bee out.
IMG_2742
Some of my cards I like to keep without a sentiment especially if they can be used for a get well card as well as a birthday.and this one fits either perfect.
Thanks for stopping by today and hope you will find time to join us in the Colour challenge at Clear it Out Tuesday.

Challenge #106 at the Cheerful Stamp Pad Continues…..

In the Kitchen challenge  is entering the second week at The Cheerful Stamp Pad, If you haven’t joined us yet we would love to see your project having to do with In the Kitchen. Stitchy Bear digis is the sponsor for the challenge. For this week  I picked a little chef and stove, when I first saw it I thought Master Chef Junior as we just finished watching it a couple of weeks ago, boy those 8 to 13 year olds are sure awesome and here is what I did for the challenge.
IMG_2737
I made a square card, I was very excited to find my square plain nesties while working on organizing my craft room so I had to use them. The patterned paper is from that 12 X 12  kitchen paper pad and decided to forgo the pink and blue and pick up the green and yellow that is in the paper.
IMG_2738
Close up of her sweet little face.
IMG_2739
Here is a better look at the patterned paper as I will probably find a suitable sentiment to print from the free verse site I have found.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful week, find some time to join in the fun challenge at The Cheerful Stamp Pad.

SoSS challenge # 29 L is for Leprechaun

Or make a St. Patrick Day’s card!!! The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers would like you to join them in the “wearing of the green” with or without snark it’s up to you. Some of the sisters went with snark but you will have to check them out for yourself just like I’m going to do. Mine has no snark it just all cuteness.
IMG_2734
I only have two St. Patrick’s Day stamps and this is one of them, Fluffles from Stampendous and my sketch is from the Crooked Stamper sketch #2.
IMG_2735
Close up of the image and sentiment.
IMG_2736
My craft room is beginning to shape up now with the help of my daughter and her friend, it is a new section of the cleaning business and Imy craft room was the “lab rat” or “guinea pig”. My square nestablities finally surfaced, I have looked and looked for them but have no idea where they were found but I’m excited about it. I am sure they have been hiding for three years. My smaller dies are now in a drawer in my cart and they way they changed the room around works fab. Still lots of work ahead for me.
I would like to put this card in:
