This will sure be a quick post today, I almost forgot to put my card in for the challenge for the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge Blog, The challenge was to use a House Mouse, Gruffie or Happy Hopper stamp that has fruit on it. As you all know by now I love House Mouse and have a good selection of stamps and l use them a lot.
This is my first time making a card for the challenge blog. I had one small piece of glittered strawberry dp in my stash and co-ordinated the other colours with it, (although hubby thought it looked like Christmas) what do they know.
Thanks for stopping by today and come back again soon.

A Bouquet of Good Wishes
I am trying to keep up with the challenges and it’s a challenge just to remember where they go. This one is for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge found here to do Shabby Chic and the Anything goes challenge at Crop stop found here. Anyone that knows me knows I do not like distressing but this one I am very pleased with. I used a Penny Black image and my favourite colour…..PURPLE. My newest punch the ribbon punch from Stampin’up and put pearls in each of the little holes.
I am also going to put this for another challenge for ribbons, but unfortunately the link is on my laptop at the cottage. When I get back there I will add it to my list of blogs so you can check it out. It is their first challenge too.
Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to leave a comment I love to read them all.
Far away in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead.

Under the Weather?
Well another of my “favourite” stamps……House Mouse, they are so cute. I had this one in my bin of coloured images that were slated for a card and it didn’t fit. There is a new group at Pages in Time just for sharing sketches and our cards made with the sketches which you will find here. I have used the scrapbooking layouts for doing cards and they do work quite well. It’s a great all round site for crafters too.
The image was already layered on Daffodil delight so my colour combination wasn’t to difficult to pick out, I used old olive and certainly celery for the base and accents. The dp is from my stash, Because my image was a little larger I used smaller rhinestones in the corner.
Thanks for stopping by today and if you want a great place to find new friends and to post your projects stop by Pages In Time Card group and have a look.

Last week’s Stamp TV challenges
While waiting for the mood to hit me to finish the ATC swap I thought i would post the two challenges I did for Stamp TV. The first one was Friday’s Free for All, a bookmark challenge, you could make a corner one, a regular book mark or a card with a book mark. I used some shiny paper and stamped Garden Collage on it with stazon timber brown then sponged three colours of dye in on it, finished with some fibres and beads.
The Mix it up Monday challenge last week was to make a striped background, of course I was home and my markers were at the cottage so I just got it finished about an hour ago. I used a lot of scraps to make the card. The image was painted with twinkling H20s and already cut out, even the base and the cardsttock for the striped layer was out of my stash. It was fun to make. TFL
Thanks for stopping by and come back again, there are lots more challenges in my plans for this week.

Clear it out Tuesday……Glitter it!!
Clear it out Tuesday has a challenge on their blog to glitter your card, well there is nothing I like better than to get all sparkly. I wanted to try my hand at watercolouring so I stamped the flowers from Elements of Style which is not retired from the Stampin’up catalogue. I used watercolour paper and it was not bad for my first attempt and it was set aside for later use. When this challenge was posted I thought wow lets “glitter it”. This was also my first attempt at using glitter ritz on a full image…..I had glitter ritz everywhere, the one that I used is transparent with cool highlights. The card stock I used is Pear Pizzazz and Bravo Burgundy.
Now you really can’t see how super glittered it is so here is a close up picture.
I must say the glitter hides any imperfections in my watercolouring, (don’t look too close though)
Thanks for stopping by and I would love if you would leave me a comment I love to read all of them.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge…..Touchy Feely
I decided since I missed posting last week’s challenge by 18 minutes I had better get this in early. Here is where you can find Week 164 challenge. We had to put texture on our cards. I embossed the bottom layer with swiss dots embossing folder, I used the Stampin’up new Ribbon punch and threaded ribbon through it and put rhinestones in the centers. The dp was cut with the fleur dis lis spellbinder die. I didn’t have one of the cute Penny Black mice but I loved the Sentiment I used as the focal point of the card.
I only brought three sets of spellbinders home with me and circles were not on the list so I had to “dig” out my coluzzle to cut the circle in the dp. It has been a long time since it saw daylight. I used Perfect Plum and Pale Plum cardstock. The sentiment is from Penny Black and it is so cute to use with the mice. Thanks for stopping by today and please come back again soon.

A Day For Daisies Feeling (and Folding) Fancy
I have been trying to work on this challenge for almost two weeks, I liked the idea of a new fold. Not sure if I got the secret ingredient right or not. I found the challenge on ADFD blog. Of course coming back home from the cottage on Monday I only brought some things I knew I needed to work on some cards……..but it wasn’t enough I had to do a lot of improvising with this card and another that I will post at a later date. Now my fold isn’t extremely fancy but it certainly is different. TFL/
I love this digi image, you can adapt it to what ever type of card you need. I used Perfect Plum and Pale Plum card stock and Diamond stickles. Thanks for stopping by today come back again soon you are always welcome.
Believe with all of your heart that you will do what you were made to do.

A Penny Black Saturday Blog Challenge and I missed the deadline by 18 minutes.
I am so disappointed I didn’t get to put my card in for the challenge, something told me I should have glued it together last night but I didn’t. Well I like these little hedgie critters and I’ll post it for everyone to see. I will eventually put a Get Well sentiment on the front but of course I’m home for a couple of days and my punches at………….yup you guessed it…..at the cottage.
The base is close to cocoa (retired colour) the dp is from a DCW stack I bought at Winners The image of course is a Penny Black hedgie stamp and the layer is Crushed Curry (retired colour) I am trying to use up some of my scraps, the crushed curry was a mistake cut as I really wanted the Daffodil delight. I then used an expresso scrap and the new ribbon punch from Stampin’up to cut the little flowers on the ends.
Well here’s to me getting the next Saturday challenge that will be found here in before the deadline.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a beautiful day. You are welcome here anytime.

Christmas in July
Well way, way back before the postal strike a Christmas in July swap was planned at Stamp in Canada, names were drawn and we made and sent one Christmas card. Mine was more delayed than I had planned and it was finally received on Wednesday. The recipient of my card is a very fun lady so I knew I had to make a really fun card for her so out came my Dolly Mama which was purchased at the Butterfly Moon…..check it out it’s the banner on the right side of my blog.. I did use the traditional colours, Ridinghood Red and the Christmas dp is from a paper pack which matches it perfect. the poinsettias were also purchased from the Butterfly Moon.
Now you have seen my Christmas in July card I hope this inspires you to get started on your cards for this year Christmas will sneak up on all of us again this year. Thanks for stopping by today and come back anytime, you are always welcome.

Crop Stop Challenge #30. Anything Lace
Here I go again sliding my challenge card in just under the wire. Here is where you will find the challenge. Today was our last day at the cottage until Friday, my daughter is going tonight to spend couple of days there so………….I had some major tidying to do as my crafting supplies were in every room. I have used lace once or twice before and it was fun. I decided to make a frame for the image, I had to sew the mitered corners by hand even though I have two sewing machines at the cottage. TFL.
The cardstock is Cherry Cobbler the image is a Stampin’up set called Nature Walk, the lace out of my stash from the dollar store.
Thanks for stopping by to see what I crafted on the long weekend.
