Almost Late Again for a Challenge ~~~

Since before Christmas I have had a Lacy Sunshine image coloured and been sitting in my scrap pile along with the card stock to create it but as always other things took precedence but last Monday I saw the perfect sketch on Mojo Monday and I had some time to-day to put it together.

I loved the sketch because of the banners, I really wanted to use my banner dies and I did.

Close up of the super sweet girl.

Finished the inside with the top note and a sentiment.

Sliding in at almost the last day with my second card for the Jingle Belles Challenge.

At least I didn't miss keeping up with my Holiday Cards, I managed two for the Jingle Belles. I had planned one for each week but that didn't happen. I used the same theme as I had extra deer already cut and the circles cut as well. The reason behind all the deer is ~~ I was making an easel card and thought I needed three sets of deer and I only needed one so that's a joke on me. lol.

I embossed the background with the softly falling embossing folder from Stampin' up

Finished the inside with a scrap from the scrapbox and my newest favourite sentiment

Shopping Our Stash challenge #236 ~~ Inspired by a Book

Looking for my Clear it Out Tuesday post? Scroll down or click HERE.

Have you read any good books lately? You are in a good place to join Shopping Our Stash for the newest challenge, Inspired by a Book. I haven't done a lot of reading in the last couple of years, the last book I read was (keep it under your hat) 50 shades of grey, but I already did a challenge for that one. What a time I had picking a book and I took the easy route and chose "The Little Mermaid" as I had a freebie image from Sassy Studio design Facebook page. So here is what I made.

First I coloured the image with Yellow Rose, Sunflower and Persimmon twinkling H2os and fussy cut her out, I had a scrap of shimmery grey I thought would be a great rock for her to sit on. Next on to the background, I'm not sure if the technique has a name but I scribbled blue and green copic markers on a huge plastic bag, spritzed it with rubbing alcohol and put the shiny cardstock on it, the rhinestones were left overs from "My Precious" challenge card and the butterfly was sitting on my table.

close-up of the image and the background.

I was in a hurry and didn't stamp the sentiment on the inside, but it's ready for one.

Thanks for visiting today and don't forget when you enter the Inspired by a Book challenge remember to tell us what book, not all will be as obvious as mine LOL. Check out the rules at the main blog and while there check out what the rest of the Design Team have been inspired by.

Loving You ~~~ is the Theme at Clear it Out Tuesday

Challenge #103 at Clear it Out Tuesday is Loving You and the stash item is red & white twine or ribbon. The Sponsors for this challenge are Robyn's Fetish Digital store and Crafty Sentiments.
Well after a comedy of errors but a lot of laughs here is my Loving You card.

I saw this sketch at Fusion Card Challenge blog and deemed it perfect for my image although I flipped it. You can use the inspiration picture or the sketch or be brave and do both. I just used the sketch.

Close up of the adorable lovey couple sharing a lemonade.

Rocking the Christmas Trees with the Jingle Belles!!

When the Jingle Belles challenge was posted on January 15th I though I can do this one, then on January 22nd the reminder was posted and I hadn't made my tree card yet and I promised myself to try to make one each week so I didn't end up doing a scramble to finish cards in December,  I had scraps and diecuts sitting so I worked on two cards today. Here is my "O'Christmas tree.

I embossed the background and spritzed it with glimmer mist I had the deer cut already so I just had to cut a few trees.

Finished the inside with my newest favourite stamp.

Welcome back for a NEW challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers

Challenge #51 at SoSS is T is for Technique you can try a  new Technique or use a Favourite one.  I decided to try a new technique and it was fun!!! Watercolour Smooshing!!!

Since I wanted the technique to be the "star" I kept it pretty simple with a memory box anchor die cut some blue and white bakers twine and a simple Happy Birthday.

I used three shades blue distress inks and one green (peeled paint)  it was very simple, a bit messy but so much fun. I put each of the inks separately on an acrylic block spritzed with water then applied it to the water colour paper.

Stamped the sentiment directly on the patterned paper then added another anchor die cut.

Thanks for visiting today and sure do hope you will join the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers for T is for Technique I would love to see what you can do.

Inspired by Just Us Girls colour challenge I did a Triple Layer Stamping Card
