It's time for a Happy Little Stampers May ATC Challenge!!!

How are things in your corner of the world? Pretty quiet for me but I'm getting a few cards done and a lot of baking. I think I should reverse things and make more cards and less baking.  I can't even go to the cottage as my permanent address outside Haldimand/Norfolk counties, here is hoping it isn't for long, I love crafting there and taking my pictures outside by the lake.

The Happy Little Stamper's May artist trading card/coin challenge is Rainbow,  so let's see your interpretation of the theme. I changed my mind many times even the day I made the ATC I switched gears and made something totally different.

After I had cut seven 1/4 inch strips of 7 colours I was going through the dies to find a cloud die set and while going through the box I spotted the Hot Air Balloon die and wow it had 7 spots to put the colours of the rainbow in, I used a patterned piece of cardstock for the sky layer, the balloon was cut from white foam core, I cut the dream 4 times and layered it to I was popped up, lastly I added (gasp) 5 mini sequins.

Back Again With a New Card for the Jingle Belles.

I don't know when I've had so much mojo to make cards, I think it was the sketch that did it. I love the Sketch and it uses tags.  Again I used blue and white for my card, this time a little deeper blue. The image I used has been stamped and coloured  (don't spread it around) for over two years.  Finally I get a chance to use it.  I'm not sure what I was making but I stamped and coloured a whole lot and I didn't need it. I have a small box of small images that are ready to use, a lot of die cuts as well.

A super cute house mouse in an ornament and he works perfect for the circle tag dies, again I used the leaf/stem flourish for the tag hanger. Although you can't see it well I embossed the white layer wth an ornament embossing folder added the border die (though it looked like ornaments) an a strip of lace. The sentiment is from Tim Holtz Holiday sentiments.

Finished the nside with a strip of blue and a bit of lace and another sentiment from Stampendous.  You can never have too many Christmas sentiments.

Oh Christmas Sketch, Oh Christmas Sketch

I'm earlier than usual playing along with the Jingle Belles Rock Challenge,  It is a fabulous sketch I love it because I can use one or more of my 12 tag dies, I seemed to accumulate a few but they won't go to waste since I LOVE this sketch.  First up is a super cute penguin I have had on my table since last year (well moved 3 of them from spot to spot) It was coloured and the background was also a scrap of oxide background. So here is my rendition of the sketch.

I haven't been in the red/green mode lately for Christmas cards and since this is Winter  I needed to go with the blues. The snowflake strip is from Elizableth craft designs and the let it snow from Tim Holtz holiday words. The swirl I used is part of a leaf swirl I've had for years and two of the swirls minus the leaves made a perfect hanger for my tag. The penguin was cut in white and coloured with alcohol markers the eyes and beak are scraps of cardstock.

Finished the inside with a scrap of patterned paper and a Stampendous sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a fabulous crafty week.

Challenge #534 at Just Us Girls is Word Week, I really like word week challenge it's almost as good at an anything goes. This challenge is Hero and I found a Dr. digi from Dearie Dolls Digi Stamps, although there are no new digis being made you can still download them free.  Here is my Hero.

Rummaging through the scraps box I found a perfect piece of paper just the right size for the Elizabeth Craft Designs die that looks like a postage stamp. I just cut the image with a different postage stamp rectange and the reason for this is I think all first responders should be honoured with a stamp depicting their occupation whether is be Dr. Nurse, PSW, Cleaner, Ambulance, Police, Fire, Technician Truck Driver, Checkout staff, I hope I haven't forgotten anyone, they all need Kudos.

I added a large Thanks die cut, I layered it 4 times to make it pop.

Last Day to Enter Rudolph Days.....

Wow again I'm flying in at the last day for the April Rudoph Days, you know the challenge is every month on the 25th to the end of the month so I've had 25 days to make a card but here I am racing to get it done for the last day. I have been working on it and it wasn't going as expected and it is still not finished. Under the image is a blank spot.....that is where the Merry Christmas die cut was to go, I thought I found the die on my table so cut it out and went to attach it to the card and realized Happy Birthday just didn't cut it, then the search is on, finally I decided I needed to get the card on the challenge  so just pretend you see a very nice Merry Christmas in blue. I'm sure as soon as I have blogged this and I'm looking for something else the die will appear.

It certainly looks better IRL, I've had the die for over a year and finally found some time to play with it, I diecut white foam core so it pops up a bit, found a background I made for an ATC and after trimming it was a perfect fit. The EF I used is probably 20 years old it was my first folder and I won it on a give-away before I even had a machine to use it in.

Finished the inside with a Hero Arts sentiment (won at the Jingle Belles Challenge last year)  It has become my very favourite sentiment for horizontal cards. And a few scraps of leftover cardstock from the front.

Shopping Our Stash is Celebrating "Mothers"

Chris is our "hostess" for Challenge #419 at Shopping Our Stash and the theme she picked is Happy Mother's Day, you can get an early start on your Mother's Day card or project,  Mother's Day in Canada and the U.S. is May 10th so lots of time to get some done.

You know how you look things up on Pinterest and next thing you know you have a barrage of Pins they found just for you. Well had one in my mail and I always check and there was a card made with the Botanical Builder dies, so of course went and had a look and thought I can make that since I have the dies.  I want you to note the "white" space in the upper corner, it took all my restraint to leave it alone, and I'm very pleased. The patterned paper is from a pack I bought last year at Dollarama.  It's been a long time since I have been doing any fun shopping.

Close up of the flowers, the pearls are from Stampin'up and the sentiment from a SU set called Teeny Tiny Wishes, after stamping and trimming I added it to a banner from a set from We R Memory keepers I bought at Winners at least 5 years ago.

Finished inside using a couple of scraps of paper, a die cut flower and a sentiment from Stampworks.

If you haven't checked out the rest of the Design team project head over to the MAIN BLOG and check them out.

I'm entering this in:
Use Your Stuff #396 Mood Board. I picked out the blue, pink and flowers.

Thanks for stopping by and I'm looking forward to seeing your Mother's Day projects.

April 22, 2020 it's Earth Day

Today being Earth Day I decided to join the Jingle Belles Rock for their challenge, they celebrate Earth day every year with a Christmas challenge. It was a comedy of errors, first I couldn't find my "recycle" piece, then I did, took a picture of it to show you, then looked for the dies I needed to use, well I really wanted the larger set of IO deer dies but had to settle for the smaller version, ok trees cut, birds cut where did I put that piece of vinyl wallpaper sample? That meant I went back to where I took the picture and pretending to hold the sample in my hand walked back to the other room and it worked I lifted a paper an voila missing sample found.

This is a vinyl wallpaper sample I've had in my stash for a long time, the store is no longer in the Simcoe Mall. I loved picking up different samples of wallpaper and even counter top chips.
Here is what I did with my sample.

The Birch tree die is from the Frantic Stamper, the deer and cardinals are from Impreesion Obsession and the three dies are my very favourite to use for winter scenes, the background paper (didn't have time to make my own) is from a 12 X 12 paper pad I bought at Walmart

Finished the inside with some extra cardinals, the set of birds has both small and large cardinals, I used the small on the front and the large on the inside.

Here you have my projectd for Earth Day 2020
