The 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 ~~ Day 9

Ok we have made it to Day 9 glad you are still hanging in. Again it will be an easy read and very few pictures. So many cute tags for today, the sponsor is Pink & Main and the tag I was inspired by is made by Yolie Burke. It was so cute I just had to  make one. 

I had a flamingo die from Gina Marie Desings but had to play around making a wreath for his/her neck. I just loved the lime/plaid/pink/red look of Yolie's tag and scouted around for something similar.

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 ~~ Day 8

Hello again!! I'm on to my second post and again it will be a short one and very picture light. Day 8 at the 25 Days of Christmas Tags I chose Judi Rozema's tag, because it was so darned cute and I love the sentiment (wish I had one like it)

It's ugly sweater time (I thing a different pattern would have looked better)  I used a piece of smooshed cardstock in lieu of embossing snowfalkes. The deer is a set from Hero Arts when stamps and dies were just starting and it's only the first  or maybe the second time I've used it as you can tell by way it's cut and I even used a template as they suggest.

The 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 ~~ Day 7

Are you ready to be inundated ? I'm caught up to today which is Day 9, so be ready for three "tag" posts. I promise they will be short and very photo light. Day 6 I was inspired by Mendi's tag (the one on the right of the picture I will post below.

A snowman from Snow Fun and a tree diecut that was on my table. snowflakes are a die from Gina Marie Designs, theree are 6 dies all the same size but all different in the package, they are my go to snowflakes.

25 days of Christmas Tags 2019 ~~ Day 5

For day 5 at the 25 Days of Christmas tags I chose special gueat Jen Mitchell's tag,  really loved how soft and pretty it looked, and I had a set of tree dies I really wanted to try.

The dies were a bit of a challenge to cut and I was out of dryer sheets, I must see my supplier of them to get a new stash. I have a gas dryer and it is suggested not to use dryer sheets in it.  The piece of cardstock I chose to cut the trees was double sided so I just added the "other" side to the bottom section, I used an EK punch for the bottom and instead of twine I used gold thread for the loops. The sentiment is one of my many ancient hero arts one-liner stamps, if I could only stamp them straight. I should dig out the old stamp positioner and go old school.

Well friends that is all for now, there is still today's tag to be done but first I have a Birthday card to make and get it in the mail on Tuesday (the PO probably ins't open)

The 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 ~~ Day 4

I'm trying to catch up today, last Thursday and Friday were very busy and I didn't have much time to craft,  I'm not sure if I have a cold or it's just sinus with a touch of bronchitis but I'm not feeling up to par today so decided I would just hang around in my 'jammies and get caught up on a few projects that needed finishing. Day 4 at the 25 days of Christmas Tags I chose Lindsey's tag, she made two but I only completed one,  I  wanted to try the technique she did with the snowflake stencil and embossing paste with glitter in it, well that proved to be a disaster, not sure if my paste was too thick or too much glitter, but it just wasn't working, went to plan "B" .

Plan "B" I used 3 of the snowflakes from a long retired Stampin'up set called Snow Spot, inked them up with Brilliance Mediterranean Blue and embossed them with Silver Pearl, which tones down the dark ink and gives it a shine.  Since I had no blue ribbon I decided to go with Red for my accent colour.

The 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 ~~ Day 6

Yes you are seeing double, I have made a second tag for Day 6, If I had more time there might have been a lot more, the inspiration was awesome.  For this tag I chose Tracey McNeely's tag, she even posted a short video on how she did it.

The Skate die is from Gina Marie Designs and I'm so happy to say I have used it, There is a combination of other dies I used, you will recognize the poinsettia and leaves from the Sled tag, as I said they are really versatile, the candy canes are from Impression Obsession  and there are 8 mini dies in the package, snowman, gingerbread man, candle, two different ornaments and a bell,  Another very useful set. The skates have 4 dies, boot, heel, blade and lace. I backed the black and silver with double sided tape and cut them, it made it much easier to put them together.

The 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 ~~ Day 6

I know I'm missing day 4 and 5 but I have a plan and they will be done over the weekend.  What an awesome bunch of tags to choose from today and it was hard to pin it down to just one. The first tag I chose to replicate as well as I can is Lindsey's sled tag. Check it out HERE. 

The die I used is from Elizabeth Craft Designs and comes with everything here except the cord. First I stamped the woodgrain background stamp (ancient) with Versafine Sepia ink then cut the parts for the sled. put it together and added the twine.

Close up of the cute flowers, they are so versatile and it's hard to keep them together with the rest of the die set.  I know that because the holly leaves die was sitting on my table for a few days until I saw it was from this set. "together again"
