Although there are lots of layers it seems rather simple. The blossom branch didn't ink well or it could be because of the old thesaurus page too, but I'm okay with it because the bird is the focal point, and I have another birthday card for my stash.
Close up of the Robin, my white gel pen wouldn't work to accent the eye, I'll figure out something before I give it away.
Finished the inside and added some punched corners, talk about using stash, I haven't used this punch in eons but I wanted something to break up the white on white.
The stamp sets I used were Nature Walk and Easter Blossoms I have had them for many years, in fact it was back when I put the labels on the stamps and they don't stick to the block, so I tried using a lip balm over the stamp and it stuck very well. (one of Scrap and Stamp with Frenchie's tips)
Well here we are another week and another challenge, I hope you will join us for the "put a bird on it" challenge. thanks for looking today.

Loving the collagy feel of this card!
Great job switching gears! I confess, I was thinking the same thing for some reason and had my Easter cards ready to post. The blues look so nice with the robin, and that corner punch inside was the perfect addition to break up the white... well done shopping your stash!
oooooooooooh! what a great card! totally making me realize i never STAMP on dictionary paper and clearly i soooooo totally SHOULD!!! love this, missus!!! ♥
This is beautiful, Barb! Love the old book page for background! I'd like to try this again - it's been a long time since I made this style of card but I just love it! Thanks for inspiring!
This is so pretty! I have an old thesaurus tucked away in my craft stash, but have yet to use it. I think the background blue stamping is just right. Great colouring of the robin as well!
Very pretty.
It looked like the bird had so much texture, then the close up photo showed it was coloured, cool stamp.
I have yet to find a white gel pen that lasts.
This stamp set is another favorite of mine from Stampin' Up! it's truly OLD, came out back in 2011, this images call for a vintage look and that's what you achieved here beautifully.
Love the blue stamped image on that dictionary page and your fussy cut Robin looks amazing, beautifully colored.
I love seeing Robins flying around already, they are back and that means SPRING is on it's way.
Oh, and by the way, white gel pens NEVER LAST TO LONG, I don't know why but, when mine are acting up, I wet the paper a bit and then apply the pen to it, hope this tip works for you.
Hugs.
Barb I just love this idea of the script paper background, may try this idea one day. Great card.xx💖 [Aussie aNNie's Blog]
