Bent Out of Shape

Welcome to a new challenge at Shopping Our Stash and the theme is Bent Out of Shape which is just make a shaped card (no squares or rectangles allowed). I have received really cute shaped cards one was a gorgeous layered butterfly birthday card and a super adorable mitten card for Christmas swap and if you have been to the main blog there are yummy cupcakes, now for me it's a circle easel card.

I had already decided I was making a "rocker" card but for some reason, being in a hurry I could not locate my infinity circles that I use so on to plan B I knew where this die set was so thought I might be able to adapt it to make the rocker card but when looking for it I found this whole set die cut and was never glued together BONUS. I have had it several years and it's so pretty. The gems I used are from my stash they are many years old. I had 3 packages of purple to pick from too.

Side view of the easel and the Birthday sentiment is popped up.

Best part is it folds flat for mailing in a square envelope.

Thanks for stopping by today and check out the shaped cards the rest of the design team have made.

B is for Black Black Heart

Hello and welcome to a new month and a new challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!!

The theme is Valentine with black or anti Valentine. Took me a while to figure something out but I saw a meme that caught my fancy and went with it and a snarky cat.

Since my great grandson is all Halloween I'm giving this to him for Valentines day, he might agree with the quote.

I found the scrap of glitter black cardstock in the black file folder, I cut the heart and flat attached it all but the top bit so I could tuck the cat in it. The snarky cat is flat attached under the heart but the rest is elevated as you can see in the photo.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out the rest of the design team cards on the  Main Blog.

Love is in the Air

Or at least for the new challenge at Shopping Our Stash. Welcome to Love Me Do! which for the next 13 days it will be all over the gallery so get your hearts, hugs, love notes out and make a Love themed card with your stash.

I have made a mini slimline card with a favourite sheetload from January 2023 which is on rewind right now so check it out. I am so sorry for the terrible photo, I am not sure what gremlin is living inside my laptop but I literally fought the edit program and I lost the fight. That was just the last pitfall, the first was "where is my valentine paper pad?" I still am in the dark on that one, but in my loose papers I found 2 that co-ordinated and some cardstock that matched. Of course I just had to use the super cute gnome with the hearts all aver his hat popped him up, added a few "who knows how long I've had them" pearls  and a valentine sentiment.

Finished the inside with an "elderly" sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by today and stop by the SOS blog and check out what the rest of the design team have made.

Out With The Old In With The New!!

Hello and welcome to the first challenge of the New Year at Shopping Our Stash, the theme is to combine some old and some not so old or never been used items on your project. On my card I used a 3 layer floral die set I bought in 2019 and never even took it out of the packages. I will admit it was because it is not an A2 size and it isn't an A7 either it's somewhere in between so I "bit the bullet" and now I have to make an envelope to size.

The die set is from Nellie's Choice and I have had it since 2019, I used shades of purple cardstock and cut the base to fit. I chose a simple Happy Birthday stamp and die set. I am debating on putting some gems or pearls in the centers of the flowers, what do you think.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a fabulous new year.
