Shopping Our Stash has a New Challenge ~~ Snow much Fun!!!

Challenge #331 at Shopping Our Stash is Snow Much Fun!!! We want to see anything snow related on your project but don't forget the part about using your stash.

I decided to make a "snow" scene out side a window,  I'm glad the scene is cute but that wallpaper is so 50's. The stamp I used is a long retired Stampin'up set and I love it for my window cards.

Close up of the scene, I did put acetate for the window and popped the window up but decided not to make it a shaker.

Finished the inside and will add the extra tree I cut and seems to have disappeared, it's probably not too far from my table.

Thanks for looking today and head over to the Main Blog and check out what the rest of the design team have made.

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2017 ~~ day 26 ~~ Bonus day!!

Surprise it's a bonus tag, High Hopes Stamps is sponsoring the bonus tag day at the 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2017.  I am so happy I managed to get caught up and this is my last tag for the challenge hop.  As most of my readers know I love purple and I just had to use Kristine's purple tag as inspiration. Here is what I made.

I didn't have the adorable penguin from High Hopes Stamps so I used the cute one from Bugaboo Stamps, as you see I do love all shades of purple.

I fussy cut the penguin out and popped him up. I cut a few hills and a tree.

Here is Kristine's tag

This was the sentiment I thought I could use but it was too large for the tag. It is from High Hopes Stamps and I've had it for quite a few years.  It's just so Canadian.

Last entry for the 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2017

Thanks again for spending time looking at all the super tags I made and I hope you made some too.

House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge #255

Here I am again with my second post as a Guest Design team member ( I am still over the moon) at House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge #255  is as always Anything Goes or an optional theme ~~ December Birthday.  Oddly enough I have two December birthdays to make cards for so for me it's a two-fer.

I have no idea what the fold is called but I really wanted to try it, the card when folded fits in a 5 X 5 envelope. For Christmas I love plaids and burgundy so I chose them for the birthday card  I used my Elizabeth craft design stitched circle and spellbinder's scalloped circle, the ovals are spellbinders classic dies and the sentiment is from a retired set of Stampin'up.

Close up of the image.

I guess you would call it either the inside or back of the card

Thanks for looking today and don't forget to check out the HMFMC Blog and see how the design team have interpreted the challenge. Remember December Birthday is only an option you can enter Anything Goes.

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2017 ~~ Day 25

It's not the last day for the 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2017 there is a bonus day with a new sponsor.  For this day I chose Tracey's tag, just because it was cute and I had a digi that worked perfect.

Look at me sponging and splashing water on my background, the image is from Dr. Digi and the sentiment was computer generated.

Here is Tracey's Tag

Tracey's is a super tag don't you think?

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2017 ~~ Day 24

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2017 day 24 has fabulous inspirational tags it was hard to choose, since I have been following the challenge I have dug out and used many items that have been neglected, this time it was a Hero Arts stamp and die set that I really had to have because it would make quick cards but I stamped the deer and trees once but never made anything with them but the large tree die was perfect for my tag.

It's a gift card holder, once you get the base cut it's quick and easy to make a few. This design is only one of the two that Holly made...still want to make the other one too. I only have one size sequins so just use a few, the star was some scrap glitter paper and a Fiskers star punch that wow was sitting right on my crafting table. bonus.

Here is Holly's tags.

I even had peace love and joy tiny stamps also never been used.

Thanks for looking again today, there will be one more soon.

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2017 ~~ Day 23

Again a marathon of crafting and now I have done all 25 there is a bonus day!!! more about that when I get to Day 26.  For today's tag I chose Amy Kolling's tags although I only got one of them done they were both great.

I had a scrap of red glitter cardstock in my scrap box so using spellbinders classic circles I cut the base, the JOY is cut from a sizzix long skinny die I bought eons ago and had to unwrap it to use it. It cuts Peace, Love, Joy & Hope, I even have the base and plates to go with it.  Must mean I have too much "stuff"

Here is Amy's tags
Both are just gorgeous.

It's Saturday ~~ Are You Ready for a New Challenge?

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers has a new challenge I is for Industrial, in other words Steampunk, which by the way is not one of my favourite challenges of the year. I really struggle with the concept although I always come up with something. This year pinterest did most of the work.

When I saw the steampunk cat on one of my tours on pinterest I saved it for later use and I printed it off did some colouring with spica glitter pens and copics then fussy cut out and elevated him on the background which I just printed and made my tag with it.

Close up of the image.

Since industrial means gears and cogs I cut one set out of dull silver and one out of gray and glued them together to make them a bit more stable.

And what would steampunk be with out a key attached with some twine.

Thanks for stopping by today and head over to the MAIN BLOG and check out the awesome projects the rest of the design team have made for your inspiration.

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2017 ~~ Day 22

Getting close to the end of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags for 2017, I have really had fun trying to keep up daily, it seems once you get behind it really snowballs (pun intended) For day 22 the inspiration was fabulous, I had a few that I really wanted to try and since I made a "sketch" of them I might just do them.  I loved Lindsey's tags, I really loved the plaid but my die that I wanted to  use didn't really go along with plaid so here is how my tags turned out.

I used an Elizabeth Craft Designs Die and I used the positive and the negative.

Here is Lindsey's tags

Love the plaid and that die is so nice.

Here is a close up of the die cuts.

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2017 ~~ Day 21

Day 21 although I've fallen behind a couple of times I'm sure happy with the tags I've made. The inspiration from all the sponsors design teams as well as Tracey's team's tags have been awesome and fun to use them as inspiration. For Day 21 I wanted to try Rahmat Gouse's acetate tag as it was something I had never tried.

Hero Arts snowflake stamp on the inside a Stampin'up set used for the acetate. two different seniment stamps were used for the Merry Christmas.

I used Brilliance Ice Blue ink for the snowflakes, it takes a while to dry but works well on shiny/acetate surfaces.

Here is Rahmat's tag.

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2017 ~~ Day 20

It's getting close to the end of the challenge and I have had so much fun making these tags.  For today I chose Tracey's stocking tag, I could have done Lindsey's tag as well but it had sponging on it and I'm too much of a novice.  I received a Freebie from Limited Runs Facebook group, it's a progressive challenge and the image is free until December 1st.

Super cute kitty in a stocking which I fussy cut and popped it up.

Here is Tracey's tag.

Another tag finished and a few more to go, thanks for following along.

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2017 ~~ Day 19

For Day 19 I chose a CAS (clean and simple) tag to use as my inspiration. It was a bit time consuming as the narrow strips of cardstock are glued on before you cut the tag.  I had a sentiment in mind but in my jumble of things from the lake I couldn't locate it, I will probably find it tomorrow when I'm searching for something else.  Jill made 4 of these super cute tags in various colours.

I went with the traditional red and green for the tag and a simple sentiment.

Here is Jill's Tag

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2017 ~~ Day 18

For Day 18 of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags I chose Katie Gehring's super cute shaker tags, I only created one tag but it was fun.

the super cute snowman is from Hero Arts and it's one of my very first snowmen stamps, the snowflakes are also from Hero Arts and about as old as the snowman, it is a set of 6 small stamps in a box.

Here is Katie's tags
These are just the most adorable snowpeople and super cute tags

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2017 ~~ Day 17

It's been a marathon the last two days getting caught up with the 25 Days of Christmas Tags, it all started Friday when I didn't have any time to spare, Saturday and Sunday were no better but I was determined to get them finished, of course now it will be many blog posts so I can stay caught up this week.  Only 4 more tags to make but there are a couple of days grace for those of us that have fallen behind.

For Day 17 my inspiration was Lindsey's super cute penguin tag,  My image is from Bugaboo Stamps

Here is Lindsey's tag.

It's Tuesday and time for a new Challenge at Shopping Our Stash.....

Are you ready for a really, really good challenge at Shopping Our Stash? Well do we have a dandy this week!!! Challenge #330 is a Thank you card in less than 30 minutes!!! We want you to set your timer for 30 minutes and create a thank-you card, very important to set the timer and let us know how long it took.  I guess I kind of cheated a bit, since I am still in chaos from bringing my things home from the lake I did a bit of prep work. I picked my sketch (pinterest) picked my cardstock and my dies and stamp I wanted to use then I set my timer.  My card was made in 22 minutes and 50 seconds

The poinsettia was already cut and glued together (it was something I made just in case I needed it for a tag for the 25 days of Christmas Tags) I did add glue and some chunky gold glitter.  I then cut the banners from scraps fish tailing both ends. (you will see later) cut two Thanks one black one red and glued them together. The lace is from the dollar store and is adhesive, just peel and stick. My colours are Crumb Cake Red and Very Vanilla all were from my scrap or file box.

Close up of the poinsettia which is an unbranded die.

Now you see why I cut both ends of the strip of patterned paper, so I could use the end bits on the inside. I also finished it with a really nice stamp.  When I bought the stamp the top of the wood said From all of us, when I stamped it it had For All You Do well so much time had passed they no long sold those stamps but it sure works for some occasions (I'm still looking for From all of Us)

25 Days of Christmas Tags ~~ Day 16

I'm still caught up!! although Friday will be one busy day.  Day 16 of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags has some really really great tags to choose from. For today's tag I chose Tracey McNeelys tri-fold tag, I don't have that fantastic tri-fold tag die so I just winged it.

For my "joy" I used some thin chipboard letters I got from Just Enough Stuff as a prize for a challenge on the Jingle Belles. I coloured them with a copic marker.

Now the tag opened.

25 Days of Christmas Tags ~~ Day 15

Over the half-way mark and I'm still caught up, not sure about tomorrow as it is a very, very busy day and so is Friday.  Today on the 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2017 the sponsor is Muse Christmas Visions Christmas Card club, and there is an awesome prize. The tags from both design teams are awesome and it was hard to choose one for my inspiration.  One really stood out because it had a Penguin on it and it was so cute, the tag belonged to Chriss.

The penguin I sued is from a Stampin'up set, I don't have a snowflake background stamp (gasp) but I have a large square snowflake die (5 1/2 square) I used double sided tape on the white cardstock wide enough for the tag, so I could just stick it to the blue base then I cut the tag,  Chriss heat embossed black around the tag but I just backed the tag on black mostly to save the mess.

Here is Chriss's tag.

isn't he a super cute penguin!

25 Days of Christmas Tags ~~ Day 14

Guess what!!! I'm caught up ~~ today is Day 14 of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2017 and I have finished day 14 before midnight.  I struggled with finding a tag that I could use for inspiration, it certainly was not the fact that they were uninspiring but I didn't have anything remotely useful to do a tag with.....until all of a sudden a light bulb moment and it came to me.  My inspiring tag is Jessica's tag!!!

Ready made black tag from the dollar stop in Simcoe Ontario, they have a lovely selection of both scrapbooking and jewelry making items. I chose the smallest snowflake from Elizabeth Craft Designs package and the bottom edge is a Stampin'up border die I think the Noel is also a EC die, or it could be IO....too tired to go look, finished the tag with black/white baker's twine and gold cord.

Here is Jessica's Tag.

Thanks for visiting again today Day 15 and the half way mark in the challenge.

25 Days of Christmas Tags ~~ Day 13

I must admit I am having so much fun with the 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2017!! For today's inspiration it's Lindsey's tag, loved the idea and the image and today I received a set of tag dies that have a X stitch edge and I just had to play with them.  Here is what I came up with.

I found I had a bugaboo angel image so I printed it off, coloured and fussy cut. I used wink of stella on her wings and star (should have tried a close up picture) I made the halo with an oval die and trimmed the inside as best I could.

Here is Lindsey's tag.

|Super cute angel tag, I love all the fancy embossed scroll work and the topper for the tag.

Thanks for stopping by and stay tuned I just had a lightbulb moment and I'm designing my Day 14  tag in my mind now.
