Finally I made a Rudolph Days card!!!

Slipping in the last day for the Rudolph days for May, even though there was an extra day in there. Glad I found some time as I would really be upset if I missed a month.

I make a lot of Winter/Christmas cards with my House Mouse Design stamps (I have a lot of them) After I coloured the image I fussy cut the outside of the wreath and I decided to make the berries white using nuvo drops, I added a die cut JOY which I layered three times for some dimension.

Finished the inside with scraps of paper and a sentiment from Stampendous.

I would like to enter this in:

and because it has a wreath on it

Thanks for joining me here today and have a fabulous week.

I is for Ink.....

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers challenge is I is for INK.
And here is Edna in all her INK

It's a wide open challenge as long as you use INK. I used Versafine Sepia ink on both the background stamp and the image. It is a slower drying ink which sometimes is a tad bit of a problem, you need to be a little patient. (not me though)

The coffee background is as stamp from Stampendous and it was stamped in versafine sepia along with the Funny Bones stamp from Riley & company. Coffee is a die cut from Verve that I won a couple of years ago from the coffee lover's blog hop.

The inside sentiment is also from Funny Bones by Riley & company the coffee beans are a clear stamp from Verve (also a prize from the coffee lovers blog hop a couple of years ago)

Thanks for stopping by today and head over to see the inky creations at the Main Blog, After you have checked them out get out your inks and show us your inky creations.

Stuck on You!!!

At Shopping Our Stash for this fortnight we are asking you to use "stickers" any kind of sticker you have, you know you do have a drawer full of long neglected stickers. I have lots too but I'm am really sticker challenged.  Before I show you my card here is the package that my stickers came off of. It was a Christmas gift from a friend probably 15 years ago, now I had used one of them for a sticker challenge a few years ago.

Of course it is house mouse, there was no date on the package but look how wrinkled it is from being crammded in the sticker drawer. It might have been a hoarding issue as well.

I decided to stick the sticker on a piece of greenish cardstock (at least 5 years old) so it looked like they were trimming the tree. I cut the image with spellbinders label 8 and layered it on Fancy Labels 8 dies, these were one of the first sets after I had the basic dies.

Close up

Finished the inside with one of the sentiment stickers, a couple of lightbulb stickers and some star stickers all from the same package. I also added a few scraps of the paper.

Finally I'm able to come to the cottage, I make sure I bring all my own supplies as the county Medical Officer doesn't want people from outside the counties to be shopping. The smaller centers are not equipped for extra sickies.  I'm good with it. First trip down is always "don't forget anything" I brought some crafting supplies of course much more than I will need for a 3 day weekend. So far this is all I have accomplished (craft wise)  Next time down it will be a longer stay. This short stay has done wonders for me.

Thanks for stopping by today and check out the rest of the design team projects they are amazing.

In the Water.................

One of my teamies posted an ATC for ATCs with Heart, now I did have that blog posted in my "challenges" but you never seem to go and look but when something pops up in my feed I take notice. I'm hoping to enter more often. Anyway the challenge is Water and I knew exactly what I wanted to do.

First I made two backgrounds and used one for an ATC that I really didn't like so decided just to keep the second background. as you see on the bottom is brown for sand and grren for grass, when I was the water challenge at ATCs with Heart I knew it was perfect. I cut the grass out of foam core and coloured it with alcohol markers as I wanted it to have a liitle dimension,  The fish is from an old Stampin'up set called fishy friends and it was colour with spica gltter pens. I added the bubbles with nuvo drops. (still need practice)

Close up of the cutie pie fishy but you can't see the glitter. Lime and Blue are one of my favourite colour duos.

I'm adding this to:

Christmas Kickstart Challenge #31 ~~ Hang those Wreaths

I'm falling behind on my Christmas cards it seems there is always something more pressing to get done.  Even though I have lots of time being safe at home (I keep reminding myself of that) I accomplished more when I was out an about lunching, visiting, coffee breaks and just popping in to a store to pick up one or two items, now coffee is at home, grocery shopping is make a list so you don't have to go back for at least a week hopefully two.  Enough said, I did get a card made with a super cute House Mouse Design stamp, tumble wreath featuring Monica

`

I coloured and fussy cut the wreath, double stamped the bow and popped it up. The window is from Poppy Stamps which I stamped in Versafin sepial ink with Stampin'up woodgrain background stamp. Noel is a die from Elizabeth Craft Designs. Everything I used with the exception of the base was from my scrap box.

Close up of Monica and I added wink of stella to the berries and the bow.

Finished the inside with a sentiment from Stampendous

Yellow ~~ Not my Favourite Colour!!

Look at Edna all dressed up for the prom and all that YELLOW.

Hello peeps it's time for a new challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers and it's Y is for YELLOW, as I said not my favourite colour but I took my self out of the pink phase and made a yellow card, actually it's a Crushed Curry card.

When thinking of snark my go to stamps are Art Impressions and Bugaboo so for this challenge I decided to go with "girlfriends" As you see she has a glass of wine and of course my favourite is Pino Gregio as it went better with yellow. The die cut is an ancient one from Stampin'up and I rarely use it but it went well with the Elizabeth craft designs stitched circle die I quite often paper piece the couch on this image but decided to just do grey stripes (just like the packaging) much easier than paper piecing. The patterned paper and the crushed curry cardstock are also years old so I'm digging to the bottom of the pile.

The sentiment is from a Creative Impressions Wine Not 20 piece set of clear stamps and was die cut with a EC designs stitched circle, a wink of stella on the wineand paper glaze on her glasses.

Finished the inside with the off cut from the front die and a few scraps of patterned paper and a Studio G sentment. and looking at this I realized I forgot to stamp Happy Birthday.

I would like to add this to:

Happy Little Stampers ~~ Anything goes with Dies May Challenge.

Monochromatic

Oh the Places You Will Go.....

Hello friends, family and followers another two weeks has passed and it's time for a new challenge at Shopping Our Stash!!  Oh the Places You Will Go is the theme of #420 and lots of options, use a map theme, special location theme (Eiffel Tower, Big Ben) or a travel theme. Since I have the most adorable Kraftin'Kimmie stamp I needed to go with the Location theme. Donna is our hostess this challenge and I know this will make her smile.

For how simple this is it took me days it seemed, I like to colour in the daylight and am much happier if the sun is shining but of course we have had many days of cold, snow, wind and overcast but I managed. As I said the stamp is from Kraftin'Kimmie and on of her older stamps, her stamps store is on-line and she has a facebook page as well.

closer cook at the image.

Finished the inside with a sentiment from  and a scrap of patterned paper,

I am entering this in:

Seize the Birthday ~~ #190 the topping is Monochromatic
I went with Anything Goes I think there is too much white for the topping.

Thanks for stopping by today, if you haven't checked the Main Blog head over there and check out the places the rest of the design team are going.

It's time for a Happy Little Stampers May ATC Challenge!!!

How are things in your corner of the world? Pretty quiet for me but I'm getting a few cards done and a lot of baking. I think I should reverse things and make more cards and less baking.  I can't even go to the cottage as my permanent address outside Haldimand/Norfolk counties, here is hoping it isn't for long, I love crafting there and taking my pictures outside by the lake.

The Happy Little Stamper's May artist trading card/coin challenge is Rainbow,  so let's see your interpretation of the theme. I changed my mind many times even the day I made the ATC I switched gears and made something totally different.

After I had cut seven 1/4 inch strips of 7 colours I was going through the dies to find a cloud die set and while going through the box I spotted the Hot Air Balloon die and wow it had 7 spots to put the colours of the rainbow in, I used a patterned piece of cardstock for the sky layer, the balloon was cut from white foam core, I cut the dream 4 times and layered it to I was popped up, lastly I added (gasp) 5 mini sequins.

Close up of the sentiment

another angle.

Thanks for stopping today  If you haven't checked out the rest of the ATCs from the rest of the design team head over to the MAIN BLOG.

Back Again With a New Card for the Jingle Belles.

I don't know when I've had so much mojo to make cards, I think it was the sketch that did it. I love the Sketch and it uses tags.  Again I used blue and white for my card, this time a little deeper blue. The image I used has been stamped and coloured  (don't spread it around) for over two years.  Finally I get a chance to use it.  I'm not sure what I was making but I stamped and coloured a whole lot and I didn't need it. I have a small box of small images that are ready to use, a lot of die cuts as well.

A super cute house mouse in an ornament and he works perfect for the circle tag dies, again I used the leaf/stem flourish for the tag hanger. Although you can't see it well I embossed the white layer wth an ornament embossing folder added the border die (though it looked like ornaments) an a strip of lace. The sentiment is from Tim Holtz Holiday sentiments.

Finished the nside with a strip of blue and a bit of lace and another sentiment from Stampendous.  You can never have too many Christmas sentiments.

I am entering this in:

Jingle Belles Rock ~~ Oh Christmas Sketch
And the sketch

Sparkles Christmas Challenge ~~ #112 Add a ribbon, lace or twine (nailed it)

Oh Christmas Sketch, Oh Christmas Sketch

I'm earlier than usual playing along with the Jingle Belles Rock Challenge,  It is a fabulous sketch I love it because I can use one or more of my 12 tag dies, I seemed to accumulate a few but they won't go to waste since I LOVE this sketch.  First up is a super cute penguin I have had on my table since last year (well moved 3 of them from spot to spot) It was coloured and the background was also a scrap of oxide background. So here is my rendition of the sketch.

I haven't been in the red/green mode lately for Christmas cards and since this is Winter  I needed to go with the blues. The snowflake strip is from Elizableth craft designs and the let it snow from Tim Holtz holiday words. The swirl I used is part of a leaf swirl I've had for years and two of the swirls minus the leaves made a perfect hanger for my tag. The penguin was cut in white and coloured with alcohol markers the eyes and beak are scraps of cardstock.

Finished the inside with a scrap of patterned paper and a Stampendous sentiment.

I'm entering this in:

Here is the sketch.

Challenge #534 at Just Us Girls is Word Week, I really like word week challenge it's almost as good at an anything goes. This challenge is Hero and I found a Dr. digi from Dearie Dolls Digi Stamps, although there are no new digis being made you can still download them free.  Here is my Hero.

Rummaging through the scraps box I found a perfect piece of paper just the right size for the Elizabeth Craft Designs die that looks like a postage stamp. I just cut the image with a different postage stamp rectange and the reason for this is I think all first responders should be honoured with a stamp depicting their occupation whether is be Dr. Nurse, PSW, Cleaner, Ambulance, Police, Fire, Technician Truck Driver, Checkout staff, I hope I haven't forgotten anyone, they all need Kudos.

I added a large Thanks die cut, I layered it 4 times to make it pop.

Thank a first responder for their service.
