Pixie's Snippit's Playground #418

I have just recently found this challenge Di is the owner of  Pixie's Crafty Workshop and right now there is a HUGE assortment of prizes to be won, You only have to make one card but you must check out all the posts and decide if you want to be entered for that prize. You have to use "snippits" which of course are scraps, you know how we all save scraps. I just started a Christmas/Winter snippit box here is a picture of it and what I used for my card is on top, I didn't take a picture of the "Ferrero Rocher" box that houses my extra sentiment cuts and other items. (I now have 3)

When I have some time I sort scraps. Now on with my card.

I used a tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers for a "Disappearing 9 Patch Card" it looks really difficult but was very easy to do and the tutorial and video were very good.
After I got the main image done I layered it on a spellbinders scalloped square die cut then on the white that is embossed with a poinsettia folder (SU)  Warm Winter Wishes in silver was already die cut and ready to use.

I finished the inside with a Hero Arts sentiment and a couple of die cut trees also for the snippits box.

Happy Holidays from A Tiny Craft ATC Challenge.

For the fifth challenge at  A Tiny Craft ATC Challenge the theme is Happy Holidays

and of course in the hustle and bustle of getting cards, and presents and decorating I decided to make something with many, many, many pieces and here is the results.

It's a grouping of 4 as I have plans for 3 of them, I am putting them in a sports card holder to give to the great grands.  I will continue to make monthly cards to add to the holder.

A single atc, I did put acetate in for the window and the tail lights are Starform stickers,

For an added element I added holly leaves and berries.

Santa's license plate...HoHoHo

Close up of the sentiment, I used white opal liquid pearls on the hat and wink of stella on the glasses and bells.

Scrap of plaid a scrap of red and a Stampendous sentiment to finish the inside.

Hello family, friends and followers, welcome to Shopping Our Stash's last challenge for 2021. Challenge #460 ~~ Do you want to build a snowman? We want to see a snowman or more on you project. The stash busting challenges will resume January 4, 2022. It's nice to have an easy challenge for the last one of a very stressful year. I hope you are all staying safe and well.

I have a lot of snowmen stamps and a few dies too but I dug deep for this 2008 Holiday Line-up set from Stampin'up, there are 3 stamps in the set, snowmen, elves and reindeer. (note to self to make one with the reindeer) I die cut with long rectangles from Spellbinders, the embossing folder is Gently Falling from Stampin'up and the die cut sentiment is from Elizabeth craft designs Winter Wishes.

Finished the inside with some scraps and a sentiment from Impression Obsession.

Nutcracker Ballet?

Well it's not really a ballet but Clara from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps, and she is holding a Nutcracker soldier. I thought it represented the Nutcracker Ballet. And now time to reveal the December Happy Little Stampers Christmas challenge.

Here is my card for the challenge.

As I said earlier I used a Kraftin' Kimmie stamp (long retire
d)  her name is Clara and she is holding a nutcracker (toy)  The frame was cut with Elizabeth Craft Designs stitched rectangles and the Merry Christmas is an Impression Obsession die. Now it was certainly a comedy of errors trying to get a sentiment for the front, first I die cut Happy Holidays from a patterned paper, wrong colour and too large, so then I cut Merry Christmas is Aqua, duh...it was the same colour and you couldn't see it so then for the 3rd try cut it in white. believe it or not it took 4 hours to just put the card together (colouring was already done)  Oh well Snippits for Di's Snippit Challenge.

For the inside I used the center cut from the frame that is on the front, The sentiment is from Stampendous and inked with Simon Says Stamp "high dive" ink pad.

Silver and Gold

How many of you are singing the Burl Ives song Silver and Gold from the Christmas Classic Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer? I know I was.  I still like to watch those vintage Christmas movies takes me back to the time my children were little and we watched all the movies. On to my Silver and Gold card.

I seemed to have gone pretty CAS with this (shock) I cut a Gina Marie wreath die out of both silver and gold metallic posterboard (len's mills) I also cut the Peace from gold and two extra white die cuts to give it some height, I flat attached it to white/silver shimmer paper (Michaels) then on a layer of silver and one of gold then on a 5 1/2 X 5 1/2 inch square base.

This certainly isn't the easiest to photograph but it shows the two different colour wreaths.

Finished the inside with a gold edge sticker and a sentiment.

Triple Threat Time!!!

It's Triple Threat Time at Shopping Our Stash, easy peasy unless you take my route, Three of something on your project, three images, three sentiments, three enamel dots, you get the idea. I have made a mini slimline scene card with three triple threats.

Everything but the base of this card was made with large scraps and many, many snippits of white, sure did get rid of quite a few scraps on this card. I added some snow around two of the kitties with white opal liquid pearls.

I finished the inside with a favourite sentiment from Hero Arts. I sure have gotten a lot of mileage out of it, I used another kitty and a snowball pile.

And a Surprise, I decided I had to give equal blog time for the puppies in the set.

I used the same layout as I did with the kitties but changed up the colours.

I also used the same sentiment from Hero Arts and of course a snowball pile with a puppy.

Although none of the images were snippits they were all stamped, coloured and die cut out of many small pieces of white cardstock (and I still have a huge pile left)
So with that said I'm adding it to:

Coral Rose

On Friday afternoon a group of retired ladies get together for bowling, most are friends that worked together at Woolco/Walmart, no prizes, no pressure the only thing we strive for is reaching a 100 count in pins for the game, we do have over-achievers that double that goal, a lot of laughs and a great afternoon with friends. The one of the staff has had surgery and I made this card for all of us to sign and have it delivered to her. I love my ancient Stippled Rose stamp from Stampin'up, it makes for a quick card in a hurry.

I really had trouble picking a colour for the rose, I'm sure I went though the rainbow trying to decide as my favourite colour is purple but not everyone is a fan so teal/turquoise came to mind but when I sat down with my markers picking out colours  I spotted the coral and it was decided.
All layers were cut with Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched and scalloped rectangle dies. The Thinking of You is a sticker sentiment from Starform, in my stash for eons, the small sentiment is perfect as not to overshadow the focal point.

The sentiment I found on a verse page and thought it was perfect.

Thanks for looking today, stay safe and stay well.

Beautiful Baubles

Well only one beautiful bauble but I managed to get another card done for the Jingle Belles Challenge, using a rather large "snippit" I found in an envelope while unpacking a few things,

This was made with leftovers from the first time I cut the die and I cut all three of them three times, so had lots of pieces to keep track of. I use one set on a csrd and the center from this one for a tag you can see it HERE. I layered it on some sparkly cardstock and added a ornament topper from another die set, I tried to get a picture of the card that when you look down at it the snowflake looks like it's floating.

Finished the inside with some navy cardstock and silver lines from Hot off the Press.
