Shopping Our Stash challenge #262 is Spring Colour Pallet

Last day of February wow that was a short month, it seemed like Valentines was just the other day.  We have had a warm spell here in SWO but it's getting cooler for a bit then back up to 10 degrees C.  Shopping Our Stash has an inspiration picture with the colour pallet for you to use.

These are all my favourite colours too. and here is what I did for the challenge.

I haven't made a House Mouse card in a while and I had this one stamped and ready to go. The background paper is from Walmart and looks like it was smooshed but it had all the colours of the pallet in it. I also used some "pony bead" dots I made two summers ago and they also are the challenge colours.

Finished inside just waiting for the next Birthday

Napping in a Tulip

We have had some fabulous "spring' weather for February, it's been so warm the tulips, daffodils and crocus are confused and starting to grow.  It was wonderful but back to reality this weekend with a dusting of snow. I was in a spring mood and when I saw Sketch Saturday's sketch I thought wow I want to try it and my house mouse designs stamp was perfect. I decided to go out of my comfort zone and use "YELLOW" and here it is.

I used the last bits of some Stampin'up papers and daffodil delight base and ribbon, it needed something to tone down the yellow so I used a layer of black. The flower was from a prize bag I got several years ago and the brown center is a home made candy dot.

Get Your Party Duds On!!! it's Mardi Gras Time at Shopping Our Stash!!!

Shopping Our Stash wants to celebrate Mardi Gras!!! You know....carnival, fat Tuesday, beads, masks drinking and dancing, show us what you associate Mardi Gras with. I chose a mask with lots of bling and sparkle so here it is.

Being short on time for this challenge I went to Pinterest for and idea and the image. After I coloured it up I went over most of it with a Wink of Stella, it really shows IRL.

Each one of those rhinestones were added separately (what a job)

Finished inside

Stash items: Rhinestones, Celebrate (hasn't seen ink in a while), Glitter paper 3 years old, the patterned paper bought 5 years ago and I have no idea what it is made from as it was almost like cloth and wouldn't cut with the guillotine cutter.

Thanks for visiting today and let's get your party on and make us a Mardi Gras project.

Making My Own Sunshine!!!

Welcome to my second post for the Eyelet Outlet and Brads blog, since I'm looking forward to Spring and we haven't had a lot of sunshine lately I needed to make a bright and happy card and I used two fabulous products.

I decided to make a 5 inch square card, when I saw this image I immediately thought those bumpy jewels would be perfect for the centers of the flowers, and what could be cuter than bumble bees.

Closer look at the center jewels and those adorable bees.

Another angle.

Here are the products from the Eyelet Outlet and Brads that I used on my card

I hope you enjoyed seeing some of the great products offered by the Eyelet Outlet and Brads Store. Check out the store and the daily deals.

E is for Extreme at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers

Welcome to a new challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers, #78 E is for Extreme, so what it is is stamping over the edge. I chose to do some fussy cutting over the edge of a frame. I made a 5 inch square card, I don't make a lot of them but this image just needed to be squared off.

I love violets and this image is a favourite as you see I cut it out with my square nestabilities and my extreme fussy cutting of the leaves is my over the edge part. The butterfly is from Eyelet Outlet and Brads isn't it cute and they come both left and right facing in the package.

my over the edge cutting.

Thanks for stopping to check out the new challenge and head over to the main Blog and see what antics the rest of the team have made for the challenge, then get your Extreme thinking cap on and join us for the fun.

Squeaking in at the Jingle Belles Challenge.......

It's been a busy, busy couple of weeks and I really want to keep up at least one card for the Jingle Belles Rock.  When I saw the sketch from Mojo Monday I knew I wanted to put the two of them together and here is what I came up with.

I used my favourite set of snowmen from Sunshine Designs  added some snowflake die cuts with some bling in the centers.

Love those snowflakes

Finished inside with a simple Let it Snow!!!

Challenges I want to enter:

Thanks for spending some time here and seeing I am working on my Holiday Stash, and it's easy with great challenges like these.

Shopping Our Stash is going Heartless this Week!!!

Happy Valentine's Day are you ready? 60 years ago on Valentine's day Hubby and I had our first date,  we were just teens, so Valentine's day is special for us and we still have a "date" on that day.  My card was made for him but it's heartless. Shopping Our Stash wants you to make a Romantic project without using Hearts, you might think easy, just wait lol

I used a stamp from Kraftin' Kimmie stamps, an on-line store which is Canadian, in fact not too far from where I live. The set was just rubber and I finally mounted it on cling mount foam just so I could finally use it. The sentiment is part of the set.

More things from my stash I received a prize of a bag of paper flowers, I'm not sure if I will ever use them all up, the red star (thought it was a flower) is also ancient stash.

Everyone need sparkly blue eyeshadow, blue spica glitter pen was used on her eyes.

Simple sentiment on the inside.

Thanks for visiting me today and let's see your Heartless Romantic projects on our main Blog. While there check out what the rest of the design team have made.

Do you have the Winter Blues?

Shopping Our Stash #289 is Winter Blues....we want to see blue but not a Winter card.  Should be easy peasy and it was. Although I gravitate to Pinks and Purples, Blue is pretty cool. (pun intended) Since I needed to shop my stash I use dies and a stamp I haven't used in a least a year. Here is my Winter Blues card.......

I made an Easel card, can't remember the last time I made one, I used a Stamping Bella Uptown Girls stamp and cut it with Spellbinders 8 die and layered it on a Spellbinders Decorative labels die. The sentiment came with the girl and I used my circle and scalloped circle punches (have no idea when I used them last eiether) layered it on a fancy labels die. Notice I had to make the lollipop pink.

Close up of the image and see the sparkle on the lollipop.

I put the sentiment on at the back of the easel. I found out these type of cards are not easy to photograph.

I would like to enter this in:

Seize the Birthday (without the topping)

Thanks for visiting today and take some time and stave of those winter blues and join us for the challenge.

Looking for Spring?

Hello there, I'm so excited, this is my first time posting for the Eyelet Outlet & Brads and I would like to feature Enamel Dots from the store.  I'm totally in love with all their brads I haven't had the dots, jewels or washi tape but look out I am going to enjoy every minute of using them. In order to feature a few of the different enamel dots I made 4 Artist Trading cards.

Three spring "fluffle" atcs and one St. Patricks day.

These sparkly enamel dots come in lots of colours

To the right here they are in yellow, so pretty

Below I used one yellow dot for the flower and purple hearts just because I love purple.

Last but not least the super cute St. Patrick's Day ATC featuring the mint green enamel dots.
So happy you stopped by today and if you have never shopped at the Eyelet Outlet and Brads before head over and see what new items are for sale there, you won't be disappointed.

O is for Outrageous at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers.....

I can't believe it's February, one step closer to Spring!!! The new challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers  O is for Outrageous and once you have a peek at the cards from the design team you will see there are all different ways to do outrageous. There is two weeks between challenges and for those two weeks I've brainstormed on what would be outrageous to me and finally a light bulb moment happened. Here is my outrageous card.

You might now think this is very outrageous but I don't craft with orange and I just thought she looked outrageous in her "danriver" dress, you have to be old to know what that is lol. The image is from Art Impressions  -"golden oldies" and the sentiment is from Rubber Dance Stamps. I added some Plaid paper glaze as I couldn't find the glossy accents due to a cat waling on my table and knocking if off.  The sketch is from Tuesday Morning Sketches and loosely interpreted.

Coffee cup brads, wow from a package dated 2006 from Hot off the Press probably bought in a clearance bin somewhere on my travels.

The sentiment is only a tad sarcastic and it's from Art Impressions as well. As you see there is a mish-mash of die cuts, seems I was having trouble designing the card and kept playing with my dies until I found the Sketch so instead of tossing them in my scrap basket I used them on the inside of the card.

I am entering this in:

Seize the Birthday anything goes with toppings (no topping today)

Thanks for looking today and we would love to have  you take up the Outrageous challenge.
