It’s Saturday! Time for a New Drunken Stampers Challenge

DS139
The challenges at The Drunken Stampers is PLACE and the place is Campsite or use wood grain print or elements.  It’s team Yellow Canary’s turn for the challenge, so if you haven’t already been to the Blog then head there and check out what the design team has to inspire you.  I’m sure you have read about all my problems with trying to create in two places, well this week I out-did myself. I had planned on making my card while at home last week…..I forgot my black ink at the cottage, so you say don’t you have two? Yes both were there. We headed to the cottage early afternoon, I made my card and Oh No! I had forgotten the camera. I took the picture with my playbook and sent it to myself, it took me a bit of time to figure that one out. On with the card that almost didn’t make it.
Drunken Stampers Camping=wood
The stamp is used is from Stampscapes, I am not really good with these images but I really wanted to use it. I used my chalks to colour the image after I stamped it in Versafine Black Onyx.  My plans were to use a different oval cut but it just didn’t work. The card base is Early Expresso and the oval is cut in Crumb Cake that I stamped the wood grain background in Versafine Sepia. I used gold Dazzles thin line border stickers to accent the edges.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you will join team Yellow Canary for the Campsite/wood grain challenge.
Happy crafting

Back to School Week 2 at Clear it Out Tuesday

Hello friends, another week closer to when the Ontario children go back to school  Right after the Labour day weekend which is September 2. September 3rd will be our Anniversary, can you imagine 53 years….WOW.  On with the challenge over at Clear it Out Tuesday,  Back to school and the stash item is chipboard.  Three sponsors again this challenge, just think if you enter you have three chances to win so get out the crafty stuff and create. Limited Runs, Digi Darla Designs and QKR Stampede are the sponsors don’t forget to check them out.
Last week I used a QKR stampede image so to give the sponsors equal “billing” I have two cards for you this week. The first one is the image I couldn’t find last week in my pile of printed images and it’s from Digi Darla Designs.
IMG_1733
I made a 5X5 square card, I had bought these at Michaels a couple of years ago from the $1.50 bin. Done in turquoise and white and I used my turquoise glitter on the chipboard piece, it sure looks dark in the picture, it was my first attempt at heat & stick powder and glitter. (I will get better)
Second card is from Limited Runs check them out as they have a freebie on Friday. The image I used is a mischievous boy just heading out for recess.
IMG_1734
The shadows were long when I took the picture as with both images they were coloured with prisma colour pencils and oms. The cardstock is GP white and two different blues from Stampin’up that their names elude me at the moment. The patterned paper is from the $$ store Although they are not very visible there are two chipboard circles I punched holes in with my crop-a-dile to make the buttons then added some blue & white baker’s twine.
Thanks for having a look today and I hope you will join us at Clear it Out Tuesday for the challenge.
Until next time…..Happy Crafting!!!

The Cheerful Stamp Pad’s Challenge Your Choice continues………..

Happy Monday!!! Today we are having a new roof put on at the house, makes me a little sad as I could still be at the lake crafting but happy the roof is getting done. It has been quite a month getting estimates and deciding on what to get, then my refrigerator decides it is on it’s last legs. So now my new refrigerator arrives Thursday unless the old boy gives up before then.
Bombshell stamps is the sponsor again this week and I used the same image as I did last week but only the umbrellas this time. When I sized them this time were a bit larger and I could only fit two on the card.
IMG_1732
I used olive versamark ink on Bamboo ll background stamp from Stampin’up. cut circles and the scalloped edge with the spellbinders circles. the Butterflies were cut with dies from Cheery Lynn Designs as well as the vellum that is behind them. The images are flat attached but the butterflies are popped up.
Thanks for stopping by today and please stop by  the Cheerful Stamp Pad  and check out what the rest of the design team has made. Then get out your crafting supplies and make a Your Choice project to add to the challenge,

Catch the Bug Bingo

I have never played Bingo like this before, I look at the challenge and think I can do that, but I seem to run out of time. Today or I should say Tonight I’m squeaking in under the wire it ends in the morning. I have had my image coloured for several days but having to go home for Thursday and Friday put a monkey wrench into my timing. I got the image as a freebie from Bugaboo Freebie Friday a few weeks ago and thought I need to get some Christmas cards made, I’m a little behind. The bingo line I chose was Bugaboo Image, Lace and Charm.
IMG_1731
As you see it was past the time where I could take the picture outside but my lamp does a fair look although it looks better IRL, You can;t see how the white on the candy cane sparkles.

Sorry there are no teabags here to put in the holder, they are at home but you can see where they go. I used Feeling Rosy from House Mouse Designs, the cardstock is GP white, wisteria wonder and patterned paper from the dollar store. I used the spellbinders circles both small and large. Friend stamp is from a set and flowers from my stash.
I am entering this in the Liquid refreshments challenge at House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge.
Thanks for looking today and now I will post the tutorial/template for the Teabag holder.

The Cheerful Stamp Pad Challenge is Your Choice!!!

The sponsor for the “your choice” challenge is Bombshell stamps  head over to The Cheerful Stamp Pad for all the information on entering the challenge and while you are there have a peek at what the rest of the design team has done.
I am fond of an Asian theme so I chose this cute digi stamp for the challenge. Bombshell Stamps has awesome cheeky, vintage and lots more stamps and digital images to choose from.

The image was coloured with prisma pencils and oms, fussy cut and attached to a piece of gold vellum on yellow cardstock. The patterned paper is from a pad I either bought or got as a gift from a Stampin’up demo, I had never even looked at it and there are awesome papers in it. The umbrella was coloured, cut out and popped up to give it dimension. The sketch I used is from Sketch Saturday. I am entering it in the challenge at their blog.

Drunken Stampers Challenge #137`~~~ Twine

DS137
The second challenge for team Yellow Canary…woohoo, the theme for this challenge is Thing……Twine, string or hemp.  Head over to the Drunken Stampers Challenge Blog to check out what the other Yellow Canaries have done to inspire you to join us for the challenge.
I used one of my favourite stamp company stamps….House Mouse Designs. I just purchased this stamp at the Butterfly Moon, my favourite stamp store. Check them out on their Facebook Page.
IMG_1725
I coloured the image with prisma pencil crayons and oms. It is a fairly large image so not a lot of room to design on an A2 card. I had made the sailor’s knot for another project but decided it wasn’t quite what i wanted, Upon finding it in my odds and ends box I knew it was perfect for the challenge. I punched holes beside the pot and threaded the twine through, I added another scrap of twine to the button.
supplies
Stamp…..The Thinker featuring Amanda
Cardstock…..Crumb Cake, Old Olive, GP white
Patterned paper….DCWV Green Stack Pad
Accessories….button from the button jar, twine from the Dollar store
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you take time to join us at the Drunken Stampers  for the challenge.

Finally my card for the Clear it Out Tuesday Challenge

What a week, Monday evening I went to my e-mail program and I was expecting a notification of a delivery and there was an e-mail about a delivery……….sadly it was a fake virus protection that immediately locked everything up. It took over the Avira and the Malebytes programs. My mail and both browsers. Long story short it needed some work. Took it in Tuesday and picked it up this morning. Now I’m paranoid about my mail. The tech said it was one he hadn’t seen before. I have a blackberry playbook which kept me up to date.
The challenge at Clear it Out Tuesday is “Summer Vacation” your stash item is Rub ons or Stickers. What an easy peasy challenge. The sponsors for the challenge are Bugaboo, The Stamping chef and our newest sponsor Lacy Sunshine Stamps. All the information about the challenge and prizes are on the Clear it Out blog, when you are there check out all the other design team members cards.
IMG_1719
My image is from Bugaboo, it’s been so long I can’t remember the name of the digi. I thought he was a cool character and it reminded me of being at the lake. My stash item is the Rub-on from a “chit chat” package at least 3 years old and not many were used. Summer is a left over from another challenge along with the flip-flop background paper and is from McMahon Five Designs.
Thanks for checking out my blog today. Head over to Clear it Out Tuesday and join in the fun. lets see your idea of Summer Vacation.

Here in Ontario we have a holiday weekend, it is called the Civic Holiday and when my husband worked in the factory the two week shut-down always ended with the civic holiday the first weekend of August.

Thanks for stopping by today and get your vintage stamps inked or printed and join the challenge at The Cheerful Stamp Pad.  Don’t forget to check next Monday I will have my project made for the challenge.
