It's February Rudolph Days!!!

` I'm really on top of the challenge this month, of course I had to be as there are only 28 days in February this year. I even had my image coloured and ready, it still seemed to take me all day to get it done.

The image is the last of the three stamps in a retired set from Stampin'up called Holiday Line-up. The other two can be found HERE and HERE. I made a Mini Slimline card (3 1/4 X 6 1/4) dug out one of the many border punches I have and added Starfoam stickers in silver, I also added a silver Merry Christmas sticker. The plaid paper is very shiny and slippery.

Close up of the "line-up" of reindeer, I added a enamel dot to Rudolph's nose.

I used up a few scraps on the inside with a sentiment from Stampabilities.

Digging through my "Never Been Used Stuff" (NBUS)

When I saw the Inkspirational Challenge my thoughts went to the Easter Egg Die from Elizabeth Craft Designs can you imagine my surprise when I realized I had never even opened it, I think it's at least 4 years old and I have no idea why I have never used it, it's so lovely it doesn't need to be just Easter.

The fancy part of the egg was cut from white stardream cardstock layered on the sparkly cardstock I found at a dollar + store. There are 2 each of 5 different ombre colours. I cut the sentiment out of the same glitter cardstock and twice out of heavy weight white cardstock and layered them.

Side view to show how the sentiment looks and at the back the small bit was cut off the base so it stands on it's own. I watched a video from Elizabeth Craft Designs on how to do this.

I don't think I needed to cut so much off but the first cut I made was not straight, you know the old saying measure twice cut once. The egg shape I used for the sentiment is also a NBUS, the sentiment is a very vintage Hero Arts wood block sentiment

A Panda Valentine....

Hello there11 I know Valentine's Day is over but I didn't get a chance to blog the Valentine card I made for my Great Grandson this year,  I only made 2 cards this year you would think I would have lots made with all the time we have been spending at home, I always seem to find something that hinders crafting, the biggest "something" is the adorable tabby to the right, she seems to require more attention than a 2 year old.   On to my card.

You never realize how busy a card is until you take a picture of it, and the sentiment certainly was much more visible IRL. The panda is from a Stampin'up set along with the Love You. The Happy Valentne's Day die cut was too large to fit on the front of the card so I added DAY to the inside.

Couple of scraps of patterned paper and I think the sentiment is an Impression Obsession but don't quote me.

It's a Snippits Kind of Day!!

Hello friends, family and followers surprise I'm not blogging a design team card, I'm playing along with a couple of challenges, yea for me!! First it's using snippits, those off cuts, extra cuts, images you have already coloured, it makes you think outside the box. I have oodles of snippits but rarely enough to make a whole card....here is how it started.

These are my snippits, I made a card a while ago and the circles were too large so I cut them smaller leaving rings that matched together, as I was designing the card I also cut the white scalloped piece and the nave pinked edge, the pink in the background is a perfect size for the base, I also had a few scraps that were used to make a border. Now here is how it all went together.

The die cut sentiment is one I've never used before (NBUS) The card is a 5 1/2 inch square side opening card.

Finished the inside with some left over scraps and a sentiment from Impression Obsession.

I rarely find 2 challenges to enter but I planned for all 4.
Challenges I'm adding this to:

Color Hues ~~ #35 Navy & Pink

Seize The Birthday ~~ #233 Dichromatic (navy/pink)

Another NBUS for the Challenge at SoSS....

Edna looks pretty Quirky in her granny square scarf.

Here we are again for another great challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers, #204 is Q is for Quirky. I was stumped for this one until one day {not long ago) while looking for something else I spotted a AI stamp set I was gifted by a friend and thought "YES" AI ladies are all Quirky so I went with it!!

This year I'm going to "wade" my way through my pile of "never been used stuff" and this is the second NBUS I've used in a week, although not as old as the last one, it was gifted to me and I wanted to show my appreciation by using it. It's a Clear coffee related set from Art Impressions, and being a coffee lover I love the  set. The sentiment is also part of the set. I made a Mini Slimline card and used my long spellbinders dies (they are perfect for this size card) Patterned paper is from a long retired Stampin'up pack, the scrap was just enough to use on the card.

Close up of the image, I used wink of stella on the coffee pot, some days I'm tempted to do just that with my coffee, skip the cup and go to the source.

The inside of the card is not complete as I have put my snarky sentiment stamps in that safe place, I'm going to stop putting things away as when I need them I have no clue where I've put them. I'm sure I will find them when I'm searching for something else.

It's Time for a NEW Challenge at A Tiny Craft(ATC) Challenge.

Welcome to the February Challenge at A Tiny Craft Challenge, the theme for the month (Feb. 15 to March 14) is use a NBUS, never before used stuff, so dig out a stamp that has never seen ink or a die that has never been cut and join the fun. I have a lot of things I have never used and it was a toss-up what I was going to use so I decided on a stamp and die cut set I think I've had for at least 2 years but probably longer.

I bought both sets, Crazy Cats and Crazy dogs they have the dies and accessories the dies do not leave a white border so they are a bit harder to cut, I have used the Crazy dogs once, shame on me I should be using them more often. Since there are only 3 and I wanted 4 atcs I duplicated on cat. The background I made with three DI blues and 1 green then added grass to two and fence to two. The milk bottles look like they have spilled the milk.

These are the two with the fences.

Better look at the accessories

Congratulations, it's a Girl

Hello friends, family and followers and welcome to the new challenge at Shopping Our Stash. The theme for this fortnight is "You Deserve a Hand" use a hand or make a congratulatory card, well as you see by the title I made a Congratulatory card for a friend that just became a Grandma to a sweet little girl.

Wow did I dig deep into my stash, the patterned paper is from a $$+ store probably 3 or 4 years old, I was surprised I found it quickly and there was still one piece left. Of course I had to use a Happy Hopper baby and I used some wink of stella on the bottle. The crocheted oval was made by a design team member Jessi that passed 4 years ago, I still have a stash as I've been hoarding them.

Finished the inside of the 5 1/2 inch square card with leftover scraps and a sentiment from Michaels $1.50 bin.

Let it Snow!!!

A new month a new challenge at Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge, the theme is always everything goes but there is an option to feature Snowflakes on your project.

I can't believe January is over and we are on to February and it's a good time to make a "snow" card,  I just heard the weather report and we are readying ourselves for another storm, not sure where I'm going to put the snow as I'm not very tall and it's hard to throw the snow up on the already huge piles. Again it will be a good reason to stay inside and play catchup with some cards.  In keeping with the "snow piles" I picked a House Mouse Gruffie.

First I found a piece of oxide inked watercolour pa
per, looks perfect for a wintery sky, I stamped the Gruffie, coloured and fussy cut, he sure looks dangerously close to the edge of the precipice. Added a couple more snowbanks and Let It Snow is from Elizabeth Craft Designs and it was cut three times and glued together to give it a tiny bit of height.

Closer look at the Gruffie.

The sentiment is a Stampendous Cling Mount stamp.

My laptop has recently updated to Windows 11, it's been a learning curve, everything I do from putting photos on the computer to editing them has been very frustrating. The computer wouldn't even load Google Chrome, a lot of sites do not work well with Edge, in hindsight I should have clicked NO.

My Heart Beets for You....

Hello and welcome to a new challenge at Shopping Our Stash #463 My Heart Beets for You,  We want to see Hearts or vegetables or both on your project. Well I check my hoard of stamps and couldn't find anything that looked like a vegetable lots of fruit though, so I just went with a Heart.

I used one of my older House Mouse Designs wood mount stamps and dug into my scrap folder for the pink cardstock to use, cut with the original spellbinders large ovals and added three heavy cardstock ovals to elevate the image just a bit. Then added it to the Martha Stewart Valentine paper pad I found 3 or more years ago at Dollarams.

Finished the inside with some left over patterned paper and an ancient sentiment stamp from Inkadinkadoo.
