It's Time for Rudolph Days!!!

It's the last day to get my card in for Rudolph Days  Last year I missed one month and I was sad so this year I'm not going to miss any. I saw the new sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches and knew just the super cute images I wanted to use, they are from Bugaboo Stamps. Here is my card for the February challenge.

I had this 6 X 6 sheet of paper on my desk so I decided to make my card around it, I also had some odd sized 4 X 5 3/4 card and envelopes from the  $$ store in the perfect colour. The images are a set from Bugaboo Stamps, Let it Snow is Elizabeth Craft Designs. I do like non-traditional colours.

Isn't he the most adorable penguin with his little flippers outside the frame?

I finished the inside with a favourite sentiment and an extra penguin (since I had to print extra when I messed up one for the front)

Got my Mojo Monday on with a Jingle Belle Challenge

Sneaking in on the last day with my second "shiny" card for the Jingle Belles Challenge and it fit perfectly for the Mojo Monday sketch #510 or it might have been the other way around but it's another Holiday card for my stash!!

This time I used gold as my shiny element and some wink of stella on the wings.  The stamp I used is a Calendar Chick from Stampendous (they were discontinued eons ago) they are so cute. The sentiment is also from Stampendous. Background paper is from Forever in Time (dollar store)

Close u of the fluffy chickie. The harp was coloured with spica glitter pens.

The inside is finished with some scraps and an Impression Obsession sentiment which I embossed in gold to match the embossed sentiment on the front.

Shopping Our Stash #390 ~~ Fabulous February!!

Mimi is the hostess for the Fabulous February challenge at Shopping Our Stash and she wants to see something inspired by February's stone (Amethyst) or February's Flowers (Violet or Iris)  I chose to go with Flowers and used a very old Flourishes Violet image, one of my favourites as it can be used for any occasion.

The image was coloured with alcohol markers and die cut with stitched square, I fussy cut around the leaves to have them hanging off the square. Layered on purple lacy square then on a white lacy square. Everything on this card (with the exception of the white) is many years old.

A different angle to show how the image layer is elevated.

The inside doesn't have a sentiment as I will put this in the "generic" stash as it can be used for many occasions.

Shine on at the Jingle Belles Rock!!!

It's getting close to the end of this challenge at the Jingle Belles, I'm not doing well getting my Christmas stash started this year and I would really like to get two done for each prompt but it's not happening yet. The weather has been treacherous lately and I've had lots of "home" time but can't seem to get in my craft room for a long enough period of time. I'm in love with shiny, sparkly, glittery things so I knew what I wanted to do. Here is my offering for the challenge.

The base is 5 1/4 inch square, the ornament is cut out of shiny poster board from Dollar Giant, I layered it on glitter paper from Stampin'up. It is popped up with fun foam on a white background embossed with stampin'up gently falling embossing folder. Joy is cut out of same shiny silver.

Close up I coloured the glitter paper with a blue copic marker, it shows better IRL.

Finished the inside with a Artful Stamper sentiment I just scored at the local Goodwill store. I added the line of houses to carry the "house" theme to the inside.

It's Saturday and time for a NEW Challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!!

D is for Diet is the new challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers.

Slowly I'm getting back into creating cards for the challenges, it's taken me a while and it seems to take me twice as long as it should to make one card.  As soon as I saw the prompt "diet" I dug into my Art Impressions Girlfriends stamps and found a perfect one and a sentiment to go along with it.

This was one of my very first Art Impressions Girlfriend stamps I bought. Doesn't that cake look decadent? The background paper was loose in my paper-pad box  so haven't a clue who made it.

Close up of the sentiment.

Finished the inside with a Stampendous cling sentiment.

Shopping Our Stash Challenge #389 ~~ Make Your Mark!!!

Shopping Our Stash this fortnight is Make Your Mark ~~ Colour anything you want using  MARKERS!!! Chris is our hostess for this challenge and I think it's an easy peasy one with the exception of figuring what stamp or digi image you want to colour, at least that seemed to be my problem I had 4 stamps and a few already stamped ready to be coloured, finally my decision was made when I saw the sketch at Sketch Saturday (I did take a few liberties)

It's a Gruffie and boy is he hungry. I carried the honey colour theme with early expresso as an accent. The paper is from a Bo Bunny Fall themed paper stack that is at least 5 years old. Fall colours are really not my favourite to create with so it is used sparingly. The oval dies that I used are Nellie's Multi Frames (oval)

Finished the inside using a favourite stamp and adding the plaid strip that was left over from the front.

K is for Kitties at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers

The challenge for the next two weeks is K is for Kitties at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers, even though I've been very limited with creative power I really, really wanted to do the kitties one because they are my favourite pet. Here is what I came up with. Before you have a peek, if you are offended with some vulgar words better stop here, the "snark" happened today!! First the awesome graphics Lee made for us.

Now here is your chance to leave if you don't want to see the vulgar word.

I used a grumpy kitty from Bugaboo Stamps and used a sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches. The reason for my "snow" card is we were having a "wild" windy snow day which arrived after two days of freezing rain. Winter is back!!!

Close  up of grumpy kitty.

Finished inside of the card with one of my "flaky" sentiments.

There is a NEW Christmas Challenge in Blogsville ~~ Christmas Kick Start!!!

Our Snarky Sistah Jo has started a new Christmas Challenge Blog ~~ Christmas Kickstart, I didn't get a chance to enter the first two challenges but found some time Saturday to get a bit of crafting done.  Challenge #3 is Festive Felines and I sure have a few "feline" stamps. So went with a favourite line (now retired) called Fluffles.

I am so happy that Mojo Monday Sketches is back, so many sketch challenges are so CAS and I'm not a cas type of crafter but Mojo Monday sketches are for the pile it on kind of girl/guy.

The Fluffles line is retired from Stampendous and I think they are just adorable, this one I think is called Fluffles and the present. No Peeking is a stamp from a Kraftin' Kimmie set. Patterned paper is double sided and from Stampin'up the star die cut is generic.

Finished the inside with a scrap of leftover paper and an Impression Obsession Sentiment.

V is for Valentine

I'm still having issues with getting things "together" since before Christmas. Besides having trouble crafting (when will my mojo return?)  hubby needs a lot of attention since coming home from the hospital. Food and meds and of course I'm also doing everything he always did around the house, boy I'll be so happy when he can take over again, This is the Valentine I made for him using a House Mouse stamp and following a sketch from Fusion Card Challenges. It seems like it's been so long since I've followed a sketch, but this one was perfect. Here is my dt card for the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers, a little late.

The patterned paper is from a Martha Stewart paper pad I bought last year at Dollarama, I used both sides of the one piece.

I carried the banner theme to the inside and the sentiment is from Stampendous
