Jingle for the Jingle Belles

I had this card planned for almost two weeks but a lot has stood in my way of finishing it and when it was finished I didn't like it, there was too much "white" space, but today when I got home from an appointment I thought hmm it doesn't look half bad, so now on the search for the die-cut I had ready 1 1/2 weeks ago, it took a bit but I located it. So even though the inside isn't finished here it is, with 25 min. to go.

The bells and Jingle are all from Impression Obsession

This is the complete die-cut and "all the Way" will be put on the inside.

E is for Evil at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers

Sister Lee made us an awesome graphic for the challenge it's just pure evil.

After quite the fiasco I finally got a card done for the Sisterhood of Snarky stampers E is for Evil,  My mistake was colouring the truck RED. I tried a multitude of papers and I knew a Birthday card was not going to be happening, so I gave in an made a Christmas card which of course is fine the Jingle Belles and Christmas Kickstart both have Red challenges so "bonus".

The original plan was to use the Tuesday Morning sketch but when I put the truck on the background it just wouldn't work, not even turning the sketch. I still hope to try it and will keep the design in a file to use later. Of course I used Gus from Bugaboo Stamps, he came with the sentiment too.

Close up of the sentiment and I used crystal effects on Gus's glasses.

Inside of the card

I am adding this to:

Jingle Belles Rock ~~ Rudolph the "Red" nosed Reindeer (use red)

Thanks for visiting today and head over to the Main Blog and see what fabulously snarky cards the design team has made for  E is for Evil.

The Great Outdoors............

For this fortnight Shopping Our Stash  is celebrating the great outdoors,  you choose which  season you want to celebrate. Of course we are expecting some more snow here in SWO (Canada) so I immediately thought winter and what is more fun in winter? Snow fun!!!

My litle scene was made with a bugaboo digital stamp, fussy but and popped up, the background was made with Distress oxide inks and some curved die-cuts.

Inside is finished with a Stampendous cling stamp.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have time to create for the Great Outdoors Challenge at Shopping Our Stash.

Stepping out of my Comfort Zone.........

It's colour week at Just us Girls and I decided I needed to take myself out of my comfort zone of pinks, purples and blues and make a card with Black, Cream and Gold.  Black and cream are okay colours but gold hmmm not sure about that but my card came together quite nicely with some Bo-Bunny patterned paper.

Gotta love an old fashioned car for a masculine vibe.  The die cut car is popped up and I added some gold/cream bakers twine as the only embellishment.

Inside was finished with a Studio G. $2.00 stamp from Michaels.

I'm adding this to:

Just Us Girls #523 ~~ Colour Week

Thanks for stopping by today and it's always good to move out of your comfort zone once in a while.

Happy Valentine's Day

Hello family, friends and followers I thought I would show you the Valentine cards I made for my two great grandsons and a friend. They are all the same design but different images. All of them were made with Bugaboo Design digital stamps and valentine patterned paper I bought a couple of years ago at the Dollar store.

I finally got a chance to use my neverending circle dies, I bought them on sale at Winners and are just in a plastic bag. The card fold is a rocker card, I found the tutorial for it  on Butterfly Challenge at the top there is a tab Card Shapes.

Isn't that monkey cute, I love Bugaboo Design images. This one was for Will.

This adorable valentine bear was a Friday Freebie at Bugaboo Stamps, it was for Cal.

This is my youngest great grandson opening the envelope, He thought he could eat it.

Stick with me only one more.

Another adorable monkey from Bugaboo Stamps, I was trying to explain to a friend about making rocker cards and I wasn't really doing a good job, so I decided to make her one.
This is the sentiment I put on the back of the rocker part of the card on all three valentines.

I'm going to enter this in:
Catch the Bug Challenge Blog ~~ Bingo
diagonal upper right to lower left, Heart, Bugaboo image, dots or stripes (I hope hearts count)

Thanks for stopping by today and happy crafting.

Butterfly Birthday in Blue

Christmas this year for me was not fun and I got behind on my gifts but I wanted to make a gift of some Birthday cards for a friend, we have been friends for a long time and of course I know her family quite well so made cards with them in mind. The first I'm going to post is using die cuts and of course that was thinking ahead to the Happy Little Stampers "anything goes with dies" challenge.

I love the set of edge dies, I used three for this one, and the off cut from the patterned front fit perfect on the inside.  I added rhinestones to the butterflies and flowers, A Happy Birthday finishes the front.

I tried to cut the white cardstock to match the curve but it just didn't work out. The sentiment stamp is from Printworks. The patterned paper is from Dollarama.

I am entering this in:
Happy Little Stampers ~~ Anything goes with Dies

Seize the Birthday ~~ #183 Anything Goes
(option white space which for me will never happen)

Thanks for stopping by today and check out those two challenges they are fantastic.

C is for Cats

It's a new challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers....C is for Cats and as you know cats are known to have  Cattitude and that might just translate to "Snarky".  I used a grumpy cat digital image from Bugaboo Stamps and fitted him/her out for a snarky Christmas.

Bugaboo Design image,  didn't pay attention to which 6 X 6 paper pad I used (had three I was leafing through) ribbon was on my table so added it. Sentiment computer generated.

Couldn't resist a close up of Grumpy Christmas Cat.

Since the challenge is cats I'm entering this in:

Welcome to the February Edition of Happy Little Stampers ATC Challenge.

Where did January go? I can't believe we are in February already but I am so happy (almost giddy) to be posting my second set of ATCs for the Happy Little Stampers, I made Artist Trading Coins this time, they are 2 1/2 inch circles and so much fun, I hope you will give them a try and add them to the Challenge.  The theme for the February ATC challenge is Fruity.

I chose one of my favourite stamp companies for my image, House Mouse Designs, I am so in love with these critters. I chose a Happy Hopper for my "fruity" design.

Artist trading cards and coins use up a lot of the scraps that you have  left over from other challenges although I didn't seem to have any red or black scraps in my hanging file folders

Close up of the Happy Hopper spitting out the watermelon seeds. The seed is a black oval rhinestone (I was surprised I still had a few) bought years ago at the Dollar store. I coloured them up with alcohol markers.

Thanks for visiting today and check out the challenges at Happy Little Stampers

Love is in the Air!!

It's February and you know what that means..........Valentines Day!! Shopping Our Stash is giving you lots of time to get a Valentine for your sweetie made and enter it in Challenge #413 My Heart is on Fire which gives you the option of Heart/Red/Valentine/Fire. Love to see what you can create with our theme.  Here is what I came up with using Valentine.

I used a super sweet House Mouse Design stamp, I loosely followed the new Sketch Saturday sketch. The paper I used is a couple of years old and the image has been stamped for a while in my box of to be coloured later images.

I couldn't resist a close up of the two love mice.

Since I still haven't looked for my Valentine sentiment stamp I used With Love die cut.

I am entering this in:
