It's September Rudolph days

Just sliding in on the last day again at Rudolph  Days, but I got it done. I have entered  every month and sure don't want to miss one. So here is my very minimal card.

Sincc I'm trying to craft in two places what every I want is at the other place, although I did bring a couple of boxes home this trip and items I thought I would use,  This was not my planned card but I found the Bugaboo snowshoe guy in my stash of printed images and thought perfect, not a lot of colouring and I can sprin tis out fast. I did bring the patterned paper back too. But my let it snow dies are at the lake. The  snowflake is from my stash and I added a rhinestone to cover the hole in the "sequin" snowflake.

Close up of the super cute Bugaboo digi and the snowflake sequin.

I'm adding this to:

And because I have a snow theme...

What's on Trend? ~~ Slimline Cards

Donna is te hostess for  Challenge 430 at Shopping Our Stash is On Trend ~~ Slimline Cards, Now is your chance to jump in and make one for the challenge, they are fun and addictive. There are a couple of different sizes but te norm is 3.50 X 8.50 So simple the base is 7 X 8.50 and you have a piece left for a ;ayer, so there is no waste. Now I made several of these years ago  when they were not "on trend" but now you can buy dies and stencils to make them.  I do have a couple of dies but I already had my card planned in my mind and it turned out  perfect.

My plan was to make a slimline card for my grandson for his birtday he loves his coffee and when I started tidying up the spare room I found my 2 inch dies, I didn't realize I had left them here (hanging head) two years ago.  Now that slimline cards are on trend tey are perfect. The patterned paper is from Stampin'up probably 3 maybe 4 years ago, Since I had the 2 inch alphas I made an eclipse card I am so happy how it trned out, although taking pictures down by the lake causes some odd shadows.

Finishedd the inside with some scraps left over from the front (no waste) although I was having trouble in the bright sunlight to get all of the inside in the picture.

An angle look at the eclipse,  The Birtday was diecut three times an layered for some dimension.

Stash busting nothing over a year old on this card

Thanks for stopping by and head over to the MAIN BLOG and check out the fabulous slimline cards te DT has made.

Baby it's Gold Outside at the Jingle Belles Rock

Finally managed one card for the Jingle Belles Challenge Baby it's Gold Outside,  You can use Silver or Copper as well too, I stretched it a bit further and with my Gold I ued Green metalic posterboard.  Now it was not the one that was planned but as always having crafting items at two places I left the Blue at home, I also left my guilliotine cutter home too, might be time to buy myself a gift so I have one at each place since I have now left it home more times than I brought it with me.  Here is what I made for the challenge.

There was no easy way to photograph this card, I tried last night but the ott lamp wasn't enough to capture the Gold properly although it's not easy to take pictures of anything shiny. I used a Gina Marie wreath die, cut with gold and with green, The green is flat attached and the gold is elevated. I tried many pieces of patterned papers under the wreath and decided te woodgrain looked the best.

Closer look at the gold and green wreath.

Finished the inside with an Impression Obsession sentiment and a tree sticker.

Make a Mess!!!

It's a brand new challenge at Shopping Our Stash and we want you to make a mess!! Well that's not hard for me, even if it is a clean challenge I still get in a mess.  I had a plan and a plan B in case plan A didn't work out. I bought a Gelli plate close to two years ago and had never even opened the package, so after watching a Jennifer Maguire video on her first attempt at using a Gelli plate I thought I can do this. I won't tell you how many times I watched the video either.  Her finished cards are fabulou.  Since this is a "messy" challenge I did just that had inky fingers and inky backs as well as the fronts of the cardstock. I must admit it was fun and I can't wait to play again.
.

The finished product, this was the only print I deamed usable but I'm keeping the rest they might grow on me. I knew the stencil I wanted to use and being floral I used Worn Lipstick ,Picked Raspberry and Wilted Violet, Seedless Preserves Oxide inks. The stencil I used is from Hero Arts which I have had for a few years and I think I have used it before. I made a frame with the wonky rectangle dies, I cut and layered three for some dimension. Thinking of you is also many uears old and the butterflies  were in my box of odds and ends, it was amazing what was in that little box.

Closer look at the print and I added nuvo drops to the butterflies.

Finished the inside with one of my very oldest sentiment stamps from Stampendous  I also found the little kitten die cuts in that box and I know the recipient of this card likes cats.

Behind the card are 4 of the prints I made today.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you will get messy with us at Shopping Our Stash

Case a Jingle Belle Part Two!!!

My idea was to pick one of Lauren's and one of Stephanie's cards to case but no matter how I tried to figure Stephanie's out I couldn't execute it as I had no snowflake stamps or dies with me at the cottage, not sure why but I really didn't think it through when I was home. This week I will make a list of what I need to make the cards I plan. I had picked an extra of Lauren's because I loved it, as I said crafting in two places has it's drawbacks, half of what you need is at the other place. I changed the colours of the card but kept everything else.  Here is the LINK to Lauren's card. Baby it's Gold Outside November 2017.

Lauren's card was matte gold and white mine is matte silver and white stardeam, Lauren's card was stitched and I used a faux stitch die (too lazy to get the sewing machine from the car) Since I had to work with what I had it was a shiny doily (just lucky I had one)

Finished the inside with a sentiment and a couple of scraps of paper.

I'm entering this in:

This is Lauren's card.

CASE a Jingle Belle

What a fun challenge, it was great going through all the cards from both Lauren and Stephanie and picking a few. The first one I am CASEing is one of Lauren's card from Rudolph and Friends October 28, 2019 here is the link to Lauren's Card.

I followed the sketch design, used different colours to go along with the patterned paper I used but I had the same stamp/die set as Lauren used.

The patterned paper is a small section of the last piece of the patterned paper from Stampin'up eons ago, I love it and wish I had more. Although you can't see it I stamped the pink layer with a sheet music stamp with Memento Pink. The snowflakes are cut out of foam core. I popped the narwhal up and didn't do any paperpiecing,

Closer look at the adorable little ocean critter.

The inside was finished with some scraps of paper and a sentiment.

This is the card I cased.

Thanks for checking in today and have a fabulous Labour Day weekend.

F is for Friends at The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers

This fortnight at the Sisterhood of Snarky stampers we are celebrating Friends we all have one that is there with you through thick and thin, available to cry on their shoulder when something goes wrong. How many still have a friend that you went to school with and you are still friends?  I do and I have my snarky sisters that even though we don't live close they have come to my rescue many times.

Well the only way to go is with one of my Art Impressions Girlfriends

Love this stamp it just reminded me of what friends do (besides enable with wine) giggle and have fun. I added the friend stamp tediously added the s (took a lot of practice runs)  Kept the design feminine and simple with Elizabeth Craft Designs Dies.

A close up of the image.

Of course I had to use one of my sort of snarky sentiments. I will probably add Happy Birthday sne send it to one of my "friends".

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to check out the Main Blog and see what the rest of the design team have made.

It's a Colour Challege....

I know there are so many out there that like a colour challenge and I'm okay with them but only if I don't have to use 7 colours. Shopping Our Stash wants to to join our colour challenge and here is your inspiration.

Use at least 3 of these colours
Mustard, Orange, Purple, Dark Green, Pale Green and Grey

Now most of my peeps know I'm not a Mustart/Orange/Green fan but I only had to use three and I didn't even use purple (gasp) I spent almost all of one afternoon with a couple of pieces of  Bo Bunny paper and surfing pinterest and couldn't design a thing, but one of the design team cards triggered a memory of a piece of Stampin'up patterned paper in my scraps box and on searching voila it was there, karma is also a good thing sometimes because this morning on Tuesday Morning Sketches Facebook page there was a sneak preview of  the sketch, wow it fit my idea to a "T".

I guess the set is not as old as I thought, I'm not sure if I ever bought the stamp set as I wasn't particularly excited on the polymer stamps but I bought the die set called Botanical Builder dies, and the patterened paper. What was great it worked well for the colours in the picture.  I added a banner Happy Birtday and some "enamel" dots from Dollar Tree.

Finished the inside with a leaf, a flower and another dot along with a printworks sentiment.

I'm entering this in:

Seize the Birthday ~~ 198 add gold or ATG
