Second week of the Stencil It challenge…….

Over at the Cheerful Stamp Pad, check it out. If you have a stencil get it out and join the fun. We have a great sponsor this challenge it’s Stencil Girl Products…that is so appropriate.
Two firsts for me this week…..first time using a stencil and first time trying a background with distress inks and a spray bottle. I purchased a stencil but was not having much luck with getting what I wanted, I need more practice.  I had made myself a flourish stencil with the Tim Holtz Flourishes sizzix die, being smaller it was easier for me to work with.
IMG_1776
Not the best picture but I like the way it came together.  Here is a closer look at the stencil flourish.
IMG_1777
Supplies
Cardstock GP white Bashful blue for the circle and backing of the tag.
Distress inks
Silks Acrylic Glaze Solar Gold
Flowers & gold brads
Stencil made from Spellbinders packaging and Tim Holtz Flourishes Sizzix die.
Celebrate from a SU set.
Thanks for stopping by today and head over to The Cheerful Stamp Pad and check out what the other design team members have done..

More Baby Cards………….in Pink.

Just thought since I finished two cards, both the same for two new baby girls born in the last couple of weeks. I would make a quick post. I have used this cute Happy Hopper a couple of times before, but I just love it.
IMG_1774
I love the spellbinder’s Flora Oval for girlie cards and the regular ovals work well with it. I cut and embossed the scalloped oval and used the outside scrap on the inside of the card.
IMG_1775
I love how when it was embossed I could use it as a frame for the sentiment.
Supplies:
Stamp       House Mouse Happy Hopper Sleepy Head
Sentiment….Baby Love from Stampendous
Cardstock…pink and GP white
Accessories…Swiss dots cuttlebug folder, Spellbinders Floral ovals, large plain and scalloped ovals
Thanks for stopping by today come back again soon your are always welcome.

Tuesday…….Time for a new challenge at CIOT.

Well my Canadian readers are you still groaning over eating too much on the weekend….I am. It was a lovely day with the family and of course the yummy eats. Even though we had grilled pork tenderloin I had to make a pot of “dressing”, it works well I just make my recipe and usually put it in the crock pot to keep it warm,I use chicken stock to keep it moist. There isn’t much left. On with the challenge……
Clear it Out Tuesday’s challenge is Halloween, stash item use orange. Our sponsors are Stitchy Bear (new sponsor) QKR Stampede and a favourite sponsor Digi Darla Designs.
This week I used a cute Halloween cat dressed up in a skunk costume it’s from  Stitchy Bear/Sentimental Susan.  This is a new sponsor for us at Clear it Out so take a trip over and see what is on that site..
IMG_17722
I used one of the Spellbinder’s pumpkin dies I bought a while ago at Winners…cute isn’t it. I but the stem and vines in green and added them and put the very bright yellow scrap behind to act like it was lit up. I left a space for the sentiment since my Happy Halloween is sitting on the table at home waiting for me to put it in my bag.
Supplies
Square card base from Michaels (2 years ago)
Cardstock…GP white, GP Black patterned paper from 12x12 pad from Winners Scrap of orange, green and yellow for the pumpkin.
Image….from Sentimental Susan/Stitchy Bear
Spellbinders pumpkin die and Scalloped square die.
Head over to Clear it Out challenge blog and see what the other design team members have done to inspire you and get out your Halloween stamps and dig through your stash for something orange and join our challenge that ends on November 4th.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a creative day.

It’s a Pumpkin challenge and a Sketch!!

I have been working on challenges my ones for the design t4eams I am on and of course one of my favourite challenges, House Mouse and Friends Monday challenge.  I don’t send a lot of Halloween cards but have a couple of stamps mostly for when I do artist trading cards for Halloween. I saw the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches and knew it was perfect for the image I had chosen for my card.
IMG_1769
I picked up a  DCWV matstack called the Midnight Spell at Winners the other day, a lot of the paper is shiny or glittery how cool is that. I used  a spellbinders nestablilities Labels 16 die for the image and trimmed it to fit on the black layer. the corner is a scrap of glitter paper left over from another project.
Challenges I am entering this in…..
Challenge 219 and use a fancy die..Tuesday Morning Sketches
Thanks for spending some time on my blog today and have a creative day.

It’s Saturday!! Time for a new Challenge at the Drunken Stampers

First thing……Happy Thanksgiving weekend to my Canadian friends and readers have a super weekend with family, friends and food!!
DS145
Person, Place or Thing is the themes for the challenge this term, the Yellow Canary team has Challenge 145 a Place…..specifically a Carnival….wow lots of options there although I had a tough time I got focused on a Ferris wheel. I had a “travel” paper pad I hadn’t even opened yet and one of the sheets was of the Paris world’s fair and that’s the way I went with my card. Check it out!! and don’t forget to head over to the Drunken Stampers Blog and check out the fabulous cards my “teamies” have made.
IMG_1767
I cut the scalloped oval in the patterned paper and cut the oval in Early expresso to frame the image of the old Ferris wheel (from SU)  The card is 6 X 4.25, it was a blank cream coloured card and envelope from Dollar Tree. The patterned paper has a tinge of green so I added green rhinestones.
Thanks for looking today and please join us for the Place/Carnival challenge at The Drunken Stampers.
Have a crafty weekend!!

It’s the Second Week of the Thanksgiving Challenge at Clear it Out Tuesday

There is a second week of the Thanksgiving challenge at Clear it Out Tuesday, the stash item is a sentiment left over from another project. There are two sponsors for the challenge, Lacy Sunshine and Bugaboo, please visit their stores they both have awesome digis.
This week for the challenge I used an image from Lacy Sunshine it is Emily’s windy autumn day.
IMG_1760
Isn’t this the most adorable face? Now to see the whole card……
IMG_1761
I coloured the image with prisma colour pencils and oms, the leaves were painted with my twinkling H20s. Since I got carried away sizing my image I didn’t have room for either of the stash sentiments, they were just too large. Since I am not really good with the rub-ons and while cutting out a section I have ended up with another stuck to my finger or the table so I managed to find a part rub-on….the word “friend” The flowers reminded me of sunflowers I didn’t have any brown brads but plan on adding brown centers to the flowers.
IMG_1762
Supplies I used:
Image Lacy Sunshine
Cardstock…so saffron and turquoise, gp white
Tulip border embossing folder, flowers, buttons
part sentiment “friend”
Thanks for checking today and have a wonderful week.

New Challenge at Clear it Out Tuesday..check it out!!!

If you didn’t arrive here from the Clear it Out challenge blog head over and check out the information on the new challenge.
October 1st wow where did September go? Thanksgiving in Canada  is October 14th this year a little earlier than in the U.S.thanksgiving, I’m not sure when it is in other countries,
The challenge at Clear it Out  is Thanksgiving and the stash item is……………a sentiment left over from another project. I didn’t have a problem with that one I had 4 different ones on my desk when I read the stash item.  I had the word Celebrate that was  a couple of inches long and had a V cut in each end so I cut off the tails to make it fit my card and just nipped the corners. Sponsors for this challenge are Bugaboo, Lacy Sunshine and The Stamping Chef.
IMG_1757.
The image I chose was from Bugaboo, Stella Calendar months, Thanksgiving. check out the sentiment on the inside.
IMG_1758
I made a 6 X 4 1/4 inch card to accommodate the image which I seemed to have gotten carried away with the resizing. tee hee.
Supplies
Image and sentiment… Bugaboo Stella
Cardstock…GP white, Real Red pattered paper real red from a SU paper pad.
Celebrate is from a SU set I was using for a masculine birthday.
Accessories: Spellbinders small long rectangles, white ribbon SU
I am entering this in the in September Photo challenge found at Catch the Bug challenge blog.  I chose to go with the colours, they are red, blue and yellow.
