More Holiday Leftovers

I'm back again with more Holiday Leftovers, the crafty kind of bits and bobs you have left over from other projects. Here is the pile of Leftovers I have accumulated. I'm sure there are still a couple more cards to be made from this pile.

Almost center stage are the leftovers I chose.

I love lavender for Christmas cards and made these alcohol inked ornament die-cuts for another project and I was having such a time with them I gave up (much better today)

Close up to show the inky background.

Finished the inside with some scraps of cardstock and a holiday sentiment.

I'm addid this to:

The Jingle Belles Rock Challenge ~~ Holiday Leftovers

Thanks for stopping by today and as you see there are trees and deer in that pile I have a plan and there are houses another thought and I don't think you can see but there are Jingle Bells too.

Holiday Leftovers

Not the usual Holiday leftovers but the scraps, images, extra die-cuts and left over patterned paper kind.

I gathered my leftovers from a couple of spots I wonder how many cards I can make with that pile?

Although in the pile of leftovers the penguin was already coloured and must have been hiding.

Finished the inside with  cardstock scrap and a favourite sentiment.

I am adding this to:

Rudolph Days ~~ April (slipping in on the last day AGAIN)

Fold it Up

Guess what time it is.....a new Shopping Our Stash challenge and its Fold it up, we want you to show us your favourite Fun/Fancy fold card. Some days I find making a fun fold card is easier than making a regular A2 card, just remember to measure twice cut once no matter what fun fold tutorial you use and wow there are so many, Rocker card, many types of Easel cards, my favourite to make is a triangle easel card.

I love my House Mouse Design stamps and they work so well with fun folds
The fold I used is a Double Z Fold the tutorial I used is from Dawn's Stamping Thoughts Video.
This was one of the early HM stamps it is a wood block, the cardstock is at least 8 years old, the name eludes me and the happy birthday is also one of my fav. wood mount stamps dated 2001 The newest item used on this card is the Elizabeth Craft Designs stitched rectangle and scalloped rectangles well used for over 5 years.

This is what the fold looks like with the card open. The added sentiments are from a set I was happy to find in my stash  One of the inside sentiments was a clear stamp set from Photoplay and the second was an older Stampin'up set.

Just another angle of the how the  card stands.

I'm adding tis to:

Seize the Birthday ~~ Anything Goes.

Thanks for visiting my blog today and now head to the Main Blog and check your the fabulous fun folds the rest of the design team have made.

Earth Day 2023

The Jingle Belles are celebrating Earth Day 2023 by upcycling, re-using and altering to make projects. It isn't one of my strong suits but I try to make at east one for this special challenge.

First up is a saved store bought card I received and it was just so adorable I couldn't throw it out.

And here is how I upcycled it.

I made a polaroid selfie card, for the frame I used some photo paper and cut it with spellbinders original square and rectangle dies. Added a die cut sentiment from Impression Obsession and using foam strips popped the polaroid up on the base.

Closer look at what make me giggle.

Finished the inside with a scrap of patterned paper and a sentiment from Impression Obsession.

Z is for Zodiac

I hope the sun is shining wherever you are, The crocus are blooming in the lawn, he daffodils are starting to open and I see some red beginning to show on the tulips, soon will be time to mow the lawn.  And it's as new challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!!!

Well I don't have much in the line of Zodiac but after a google search I found a meme and then picked an image, which is from Funnybones, a Riley & Company, I love these Retro stamps and do have a few (our Queen used one as well, so I'm in good company) I did control the urge to colour the image, it took a lot of restraint on my part to just go B&W but I'm okay with it now it's done.
The sentiment was computer generated.

first part of the sentiment.

And the punchline!!

Thanks for stopping by today and check out what the rest of the Design team have made and stop by Queen Fran's blog and leave her some love.

April Showers

April showers is the new challenge ag Shopping Our Stash. It's an easy one this fortnight, rain, umbrella, puddles, clouds maybe a baby or wedding shower card, lots of choices.

I do love my House Mouse staaps I'm sure this is one of the first ones I bought, it a wood block stamp and I do love the feel of the block in my hand, although cling mount are easy to restamp when you mess up. It took me a while go get this done, I had everything but the sentiment picked out, sat and coloured the image and realized I had maid a very noticeable error on the flower, gave a big sigh and stamped another (badly) third stamping went well as did the colouring and it went faster than the first try. The raindrops winked with stella. The patterned paper is from Dollarama and amazingly good weight too.

I haven't finished the inside of the card although I saved a scrap of the patterned paper for the inside and I can decide what kind of sentiment to use as this could be a get well or a thinking of you card and by leaving it blank you can just write your own words.

I am entering this in:

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to check out the Main Blog and see what April Showers the rest of the team have made.

Jingle All The Way!!!

It's a new month and a new challenge at Happy Little Stampers Christmas, we aim to keep you on track making holiday cards. The challenge is always Anything Goes but Jingle Bells is the option this month.

Of course I went with the option of Jingle Belles and used  a House Mouse Stamp with Jingle Bells.

I made the sky background with a couple of shades of distress oxide ink on watercolour paper, the image was stamped, coloured with markers and fussy cut (half of it), I flat attached the snow but popped the bells up. Added the sentiment which I also fussy cut so it fit in the space.

A different angle to see the elevation of the bells.

Finished the inside with as Hero Arts sentiment and a few glittery dots.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you will add a Christmas creation to our challenge.

Tinsel Tree Inspired.

Hello fellow crafters I'm here with my card for the Jingle Belles Rock Challenge ~~ Tinsel Tree Inspired.  I don't have any of those cute trees but I do have a 3 D folder that has great trees and I dove right in inking the folder with 3 soft shades of distress oxide ink on it (as per a video) spritzed it with water until the ink beaded up added 110 lb. cardstock and ran it through the big shot, awesome it worked the first time, although a little softer colour than I had hoped but I was happy.

I cut 2 sentiments and layered them for dimension and I thought that is all the card needed, I wanted the embossing folder to shine. I added wink of stella to a lot of the snow dots. The embossed layer was attached to a narrow black border to hi-light the image then on a pale turquoise top fold base.
I always struggle with picture prompts as too many ideas race through my head.

Finished the inside with a vertical sentiment from Stampabilites.

I'm adding this to:

Thanks for dropping by today I am still a few cards behind where I want to be but hopefully I will find some crafting time before the challenge closes on Wednesday.

B is for Bunny

Happy April Fool's Day and the joke is on me, I just couldn't get things together this past 2 weeks, between trying for 4 days to get a temporary diver's license and two birthdays I was a  little stuck for time but I'm happy to say my project is done and I like it. So the new challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers is...................

What an awesome "bunny" Edna makes.

On to my mini slimline card.

Lot's of die cutting and gluing tiny, tiny thing. The background was made with oxide inks and smooshing, the flower line-up is cut in white and coloured, it's a die from Dollar Tree. The sentiment is computer generated and cut out with Stampin' up word bubbles.

Closer look at the sentiment.

Inside is ready for a sentiment  and I used a section of the flower line-up.

Thanks for stopping by today and check out what the rest of the deign team have made (they were all on time).
