It's a Trifecta!!!

I have been short on crafting time the last couple of weeks so I've made a Holiday card for three challenges. Jingle Belles ~~ Text Me, Christmas Kickstart Challenge ~~ one for the kids and finally Rudolph Days for May (which ends tonight) So here is my trifecta......

I was going for a sketch challenge but it didn't work out but it does follow it very, very loosely. The image is from a long retired Stampin'up set but I use it every year. The embossing folder is one I got before I even had a cuttlebug so close to 20 years ago.

Not sure where I got this sentiment from but it works well for Snowpeople cards.

Hello Friend................

Happy Little Stampers has lots of great challenges and I try to enter when I can, my two favourite are the ATC challenge and the Anything goes with Dies. Check them out HERE. look to the right column and you will see all the current challenges. Awesome EH? (just a bit of Canadian humor). I have made a couple or three ATCs for the challenge.

The hello is cut from foam core, the patterned paper from an Far East DCWV paper pack the maple leaves are a fisker's punch. I made the two ATCs then decided I wanted to give a coin a try, I already had the black hello in a scrap box.

Friend is stamped and embossed in black

The coin was made with 2 1/2 inch SU circle punch the layers were other circle dies.

Anything but Square!!!

I made a Birthday card for a friend, I always send a House Mouse card (we both love them) but I always try to make a different fold each time. (She is an awesome crafter)  I made a triangle easel card, it's very hard to photograph but here it is.

Love that Happy Hopper munching all those truffles.

Pure happiness

This is the back of the easel card where I put the sentiment
the patterned paper is from a Christmas pack and the sentiment from Printworks. The die cut is a spellbinder's set of dies.

Happy Birthday Big and Bold!!!

I needed a quick Birthday card today so I dug through my "parts" box and found this beautiful Happy Birthday die cut (bonus), I also had the flowers already die cut, so it made this card a very quick one.  I keep my cut cardstock in colour labelled file folders in a box and I'm trying to remember to go there first before getting out a "new" piece, so this card was made from scraps and die cuts.

What a really simply made card, The fancy border die was sitting on my desk so it was meant to be used. I think it gives interest to the otherwise plain front. The daisies are popped up.

Finished inside with a favourite sentiment, added the die cut edge and a butterfly which was left over from an earlier project.

Shopping Our Stash Reminder ~~ Still Tme to Play Along with May Flowers.

I made an extra card for the challenge at Shopping Our Stash and thought I would put a reminder that there is still time to play along,  When I think May flowers I think Tulips and Lilacs, the tulips in our garden are just starting to bloom, My favourite stamps are from House Mouse designs and I have lots of ones with flowers so it was very hard to decide which to use so I made two.  Sleeping in the Tulip dated 2010 is so cute and works well with ovals. I didn't realize I have had it for so long and it's still one of my favourite spring stamps.

Maxwell just looks so comfy, it is one of my early house mouse stamps and everything I used is from the scrap box even the Happy Birthday.  I used my oldest spellbinder dies...the original ovals.

Close up of Maxwell.

Finished the inside to mirror the front, the sentiment is from Printworks.

I'm going to pop this in:

Seize the Birthday ~~ Also Anything goes with the option of Balloons.

Thanks for visiting today and enjoy the May Flowers.

Christmas Kickstart Challenge ~~ #10 S is for Snarky Christmas

I'm a day late with my post for guest designing with Christmas Kickstart along with the rest of the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers, I really thought it was next week, I guess I should NOT rely on my memory.  I had the Bugaboo Grumpy Christmas Cat all printed out waiting to find some time to squeeze it in to my schedule but Wednesday was my "free" day this week.

I love this grumpy cat from Bugaboo Designs, I had printed it a bit larger than usual so made it into a 5 1/4 inch square card. I flat attached it to the "lumberjack plaid" paper and popped the computer generated sentiment up.

Close up of the sentiment.

The snarky sentiment was found on "google"
Not sure who will be the recipient of this card but I'm positive there are a lot of "bah humbugs" around.

Thanks for visiting today and don't forget to join the fun at Christmas Kickstart, head over and see what the rest of the "sisters" have made.

Shopping Our Stash this week is looking for May Flowers.

At Shopping Our Stash  Mimi picked out theme for this fortnight and it's May Flowers.  Now is the time to brighten up our blog with all your beautiful flower cards. When I think May flowers I think Tulips and Lilacs both of which I love, so I picked the favourite lilac stamp I have of course it has a House Mouse attached to it.

I love purple lilacs and there is a bush/tree in the neighbours yard and the blooms smell so good.  Other hand the patterned paper all the cardstock was out of the scrap folder. I'm not even sure what the name of the purple cardstock is.  The patterned paper is new to me, I picked it up at a thrift store a while ago.

Finished the inside with a scrap of patterned paper I die cut with my new fav. die and a fav. sentiment, which I think can be used for different occasions.

I'm entering this in:

Seize the Birthday #164 ~~ Texture  (the texture in in the patterned paper flowers)

Thanks for joining me here today and get out those flower stamps and join the fun at Shopping Our Stash.

Challenge #134 at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers is W is for What The &*%#

I have missed the last couple of challenges at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers it's been a bit of a struggle, because by the time I have something viable to make I have run out of time, but this week, actually it happened on Friday, Bugaboo Stamps posted their Friday Freebie and I was all over it like a kid with a bag of smarties (the candy coated chocolate ones, they are Canadian)  So after printing the image and sentiment I immediately lost the image, I know it's here "somewhere" so with the second printing I managed to get it done.

The image and sentiment are from Bugaboo Stamps, the dies I used are from Elizableth Craft Designs and Stampin'up conversation bubble. (which took a while to locate in my rolly cart)

Gotta love Stella and her colourful language, although it's a bit different than the one above, got me wondering now. I added paper glaze to her specs and put the sentiment in a bubble.

Thanks for stopping by today, head over to the MAIN BLOG and check out what the sisters and our Queen have made for your inspiration.
