We Three Kings I mean Cats..............

Woo Hoo I finally managed a card for Christmas Kickstart!! with one day to spare, nothing like running in on the 25th hour. Challenge #52 is Wooly, or Fluffy or Furry.. and kitties are furry.

The stamp I used I have had for a long time it's a wood mount from Stampendous, I love anything "cats" and use them as much as I can. The "enamel" dots are some home made ones I  made a few years ago and while packing "things" to bring to the cottage they appeared so I added them to the tote bag. The image was cut with Elizabeth Craft Designs stitched rectange and back with the postage stamp die also from Elizable Craft Designs.

Finished the inside with a clear stamp, some scraps of paper left from the front and of course since I brought the paw prints border punch I had to use it on the inside.

I am entering this in"

Christmas Kickstart ~~ Wooly or Fluffy or Furry challenge

Thanks for stopping by again and finally I'm getting my Christmas stash going,

Rudolph Days ~~July

Another month and it sneaks up on me every time but there is still one day left to post, good job it's a 31 day month. I am finally in the grove of making cards, I am doing them because I want to not because there is a deadline. I'm even ahead with 2 of my DT posts. WOW.

Of course I just had to use a house mouse mini clear stamp and Maxwell is pretending to be Rudolph. The sentiment also came with the mini stamp. Sorry for the bad picture but the one I took at 1 p.m. on the breakwall was not good at all so I had to take it in the cottage tonight.

Close up.

The one an only picture from the beach. The sentiment is a Fran's cling mount stamp from Stampendous.

C is for Colourful!!!

A new challenge is on at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers

What an awesome graphic Lee did for Edna for Colourful, and she sure is colourful don't you think?

Of course when an awesome challenge comes up what do I do, pull out my AI Golden Oldies stamps and hope for the best. I made my own "colourful" background and I will have instructions at the end.

Before I send this card I must fix the whte spits behind her head with a bit of pale blue or pink, Just like another time I only see mistakes when I have a picture and it's THERE.  Colured and fussy cut flat attached to the background with red line tape as it is a very shiny background.

Oveiously when I did some editing I missed lightening this picture, but you can see it clear enough, It's an AI sentiment which of course goes with the AI Girlfriend, I added a timy off cut from the background panel.

And now for the way I did the background. (btw it was my practice piece)

Using an extra large ziplock back you put a piece of paper or cardstock the size you want inside the back, this is your guide. then with the copic or other alcohol ink markers just scribble I did find the chisel end gave more coverage, then filled in with the point.
Next spritz with rubbing alcohol and immediately add your shiny cardstock down on it and lift up.
Voila here it is.

I could suggest gloves but I know they are hard to work with, the ink wears off eventually.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to head over to the MAIN BLOG and check out what colourful projects the rest of the design team have done, Check out the fabulously colourful background our Queen Stephanie has made for her card.

What's the BUZZ?

Hello and welcome to a new installment of Shopping Our Stash!! The theme is "Quit Bugging Me", so we want to see bugs on your card, (I don't want to see bugs anywhere else)  My stamps set isn't vintage but I have had it for a while and has never been out of the package. It is a clear set and you need to "season" it before use.

I used Bees for my bug of choice, they are good little fellas going from flower to flower and them making honey. I made a slimline card (I didn't want to eliminate any bee) and I diecut them with the co-ordinating dies (something I've rarely done as I rarely get them perfect)  Added a few flowers layered it on a smooshed distress oxide background. Vertical Happy Birthday seemed perfect too.

As you cn see I popped the bees up on some foam dots. the flowers and HB are attached flat.

Finihed the inside with a ;ayer of green under the sentiment layer, So far I've used this sentiment twice and even with the stamp positioner I have it crooked.

I'm adding this to:
Seize the Birthday ~~ Anything Goes.

Pretty in Pink....

Nope not the movie just me using my second favourite colour for a Birthday Card using my very favourite stamps....from House Mouse Designs.

It's a slimline card using the mini clear stamps from Stampendous, I have a collection of them, soon will have to find a larger container oh a lightbulb moment wonder if they would fit in coin holder or hockey card holders (I have both at home) As you see I'm at the cottage and it was an extremely dull day I tried to lighten it up but didn't want it to look fake.  The recipient has received her card and her favourite colour is PINK. The frame and balloons are from a slimline die set. The thin black layer is a preference for these slimline cards.

I added some extra balloons and a long sentiment to the inside.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a lovely week.

X is for X-posed at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers

Hello family, friends and followers, welcome to te new challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers.

Hubba Hubba look what Edna has xposed.

Since I'm doing most of my crafting when I'm at the cottage I had planned on making something with a die cut, well do you think I can find it, no, so thought it was at home, not there either, now that I have done plan "B" I will find it.

Well no pretty scenery today, it's been raining and very dull to be taking pictures  I used an Art Impressions "girlfriends" stamp and sentiment, I think it works well for Xposed. The sentiment is elevated with some fun foam.

Close up of the card and I seek I have some finishing touches (was in a hurry to finish it I guess) she need lipstick and her earring coloured. Funny you don't notice things until you have it in a large picture in front of you.

Thanks for visiting today and I hope you stop by the MAIN BLOG and see the awesome projects the rest of the Sistahs have made.

It's Christmas in July at Shopping Our Stash!!

Hello crafty peeps, hope your July 1st and July 4th holidays have bee great, lots of sunshine and friends.

At Shopping Our Stash we are celebrating Christmas in July so dust off thos Holday stamps and dies to join us for the challenge. Don't forget to use up your stash while you are doing it.

My snowman is from Hero Arts and it's one of the first snowmen steamps I bought when I first started stamping, Let it Snow is from Elizabeeth Craft Designs which I cut twice, once in blue and once is very heavy weight white. The patterned paper is old, not sire when I bought it but it was a leftover piece that was left at the cottage from crafting last year.

Finished the inside with a a couple of stickers I found that were also left over from last summer at the cottage, along with a simple sentiment.

I'm adding this to:

I Have a New Gig.....Happy Little Stampers ~~ Christmas

Last year I was on the HLS ATC team, this year I was accepted to the Design Team of the Christmas chalenge blog. I love making Christmas cards. So I was very happy to be able to design with the team.

As you see the challenge is Anything Goes if it's Christmas we want to see it!! Now there is an option to use Jingle Bells on your project which is what I went with,

My favourite backdrop for my summer photos is the breakwall at the cottage, the day I dook the picture it was bright but overcast and so so so much cooler,  crafting in 30 degree (40 with humidex) is reall not easy, cardstock warps, the glue doesn't want to dry there is a lot more waiting time between layers.
I decided to go "rogue" with non traditional Christmas clours because the new Tuesday Morning Sketch really called to me and the only washi tape I had was a 5 roll package that was turquoise. It is different to be crafting at the lake if it isn't brought with me there is no going anywhere for it.
My image is Fluffles from Stampendous layere on  turquoise and teal layers, the background is a music ef that I had with me and seemed to go along witht the  sentiment.

Just couldn't resist a close up of the kitties and you can see the embossing folder and the washi tape is really turqoise and glittery.

Finished the inside (a tad crooked) with a stamp positioner so I could ink it up 3 times with memento black ink on  turquoise layered on  the leftover of cutting a circle out of the teal layer.
