Christmas day festivities are over and the Boxing Day Sales are on full tilt here in Canada. It started in England when the affluent people would give their servants something in a box the day after Christmas, I have no clue how it came to be a shopping frenzy. Any way on to my Yuck card.
my yuck is the paper, I bought it cheap from the clearance rack from Stampin’up, I wanted something that would go with coral and it does but all around the edges there is distressing, if I wanted it distressed I could have done it myself, to me it looks dirty. The stamp I used is from an old hostess set that has never seen ink but I love how the Calypso coral blendablities worked on it. I layered it on Nellie Snellen oval die cuts.
Close up of the flowers.
The finished inside of the Birthday card, I hope the recipient liked it. Funny how I thought the paper was Yuck and it looks pretty good in the picture. I hope you can find some time to join in the fun and dig out your yuck things and make us a project with them.

When I was a Demo, I might have bought reams of this paper. I agree, the distressing was a bit ... distressing, but you've made it LOOK GOOD!
This is yukabulous...wtg...:)
I think you turned (what you consider) a yucky piece of paper into one beautiful card! Love it!
I hear you, Barbara... I have been known to cut the edges off paper to get rid of the distressed bits. :) And yet, look at this oh-so-pretty card! No yuck at all.
Lynn's comment cracked me up, yukabulous! lol! I love the flowers - the coral is beautiful!
i think your yucky card turned out brilliantly :)
I am not a hockey fan (surprised I haven't been kicked out of Canada yet ;) But I also watched the game yesterday…well actually my honey watched it, I just happen to be in the same room ;)
Yucktastic! Yeah, I have a bunch of that paper too and it's not my favourite and you know how I LOVE distressed shite!! Great job on the challenge sistah! Long live the YUCK!
Your "Yucky" card is beautiful! I like to distress, but I'd rather do it myself too. The flowers are gorgeous...love your card!
You have turned yuck into gold. You're like Rumpelstilskin
Well done. The coloring is amazing.
I find it interesting how so many of us picked paper for the yuck. Of course there is a lot of yuck paper out there to pick from! I brought a whole stack of yuck paper to my stamp club once and the ladies just gushed over how could I get rid of such great paper?! hee hee. Love your card. It is fabulous!
