Shopping our Stash is going paperless ~~ which means NO patterned paper allowed. Now I make lots of cards without patterned paper until that is the challenge LOL. I really had to put my thinking cap on for this one. Fortunately I needed a masculine Birthday card, you know the ones that are a pain to make. I used a classic car stamp from Class Act Rubber Stamps, they are a Canadian company and go to Scrapfest in Kitchener in the spring. I googled the colours of the '57 Chevy although I should have remembered on my own.
I used a diamond type embossing folder I picked up at Winners one day, I embossed temping turquoise and layered it on black. The dots I used are ones that I have made with perler beads.
The sentiment is also from Class Act Stamps
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you will join us for the challenge ~~ Go Paperless!!!
A true classic! Love the teal, and the home-made beads, too.
Fantastic card Barb! Love that embossing folder and the cool colours!
Happens all the time! Something you do regularly, then a challenge specifies it, and... mojo goes walkabout. :D Classic car and great card. :)
This is gorgeous, Barb! I love the fun sentiment on the inside! I like car images for masculine cards - I so struggle with masculine cards! Love your new embossing folder - wish our Winners would have stuff like that!
Great card Barb, cards for men are such a painful make..you totally nailed it here. Do you live in Kitchener? My Grandma, lived there for years and I actually went to visit when I was 12!! How strange is that! Cx
Smart to use an embossing folder to replace the pattern paper.
hahaha i'm totally chuckling at your first paragraph b/c YES, that is sooooooooooo me... do something 77 times in a row until someone says i HAVE TO do it... then, NUTHIN, lol! this is brilliant tho, you totally pulled it off!!! ♥
