Love is in the Air

Or at least for the new challenge at Shopping Our Stash. Welcome to Love Me Do! which for the next 13 days it will be all over the gallery so get your hearts, hugs, love notes out and make a Love themed card with your stash.

I have made a mini slimline card with a favourite sheetload from January 2023 which is on rewind right now so check it out. I am so sorry for the terrible photo, I am not sure what gremlin is living inside my laptop but I literally fought the edit program and I lost the fight. That was just the last pitfall, the first was "where is my valentine paper pad?" I still am in the dark on that one, but in my loose papers I found 2 that co-ordinated and some cardstock that matched. Of course I just had to use the super cute gnome with the hearts all aver his hat popped him up, added a few "who knows how long I've had them" pearls  and a valentine sentiment.

Finished the inside with an "elderly" sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by today and stop by the SOS blog and check out what the rest of the design team have made.

Out With The Old In With The New!!

Hello and welcome to the first challenge of the New Year at Shopping Our Stash, the theme is to combine some old and some not so old or never been used items on your project. On my card I used a 3 layer floral die set I bought in 2019 and never even took it out of the packages. I will admit it was because it is not an A2 size and it isn't an A7 either it's somewhere in between so I "bit the bullet" and now I have to make an envelope to size.

The die set is from Nellie's Choice and I have had it since 2019, I used shades of purple cardstock and cut the base to fit. I chose a simple Happy Birthday stamp and die set. I am debating on putting some gems or pearls in the centers of the flowers, what do you think.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a fabulous new year.

My Sweet Embossible You

Welcome friends to my blog and to a new challenge at Shopping Our Stash and for me it's a easy make. We want you to dust off those embossing folders or dig out that heat gun and powders and make a project with either dry or wet embossing. I went the dry form and I didn't use a "new" 3d folder I used a very ancient folder and I did dust it off.

The cardstock I used for my embossed layer is Cajun Craze and anyone who sells or buys stampin'up knows it is a deep rusty orange not PINK it was layered on some mirror cardstock in deep gold color. The gears are cut out of gold along with sentiment.

The inside was finished with a few leftover gears and as you see my card was late to the recipient.

Thanks for stopping by today and check out the rest of the inspiration at the SOS blog.

C is for Cheeky Christmas

Oh my it's December? So it means a new challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers and as always the theme for December is C is for Cheeky Christmas. And here is some eye candy for you.

I had a bit of trouble coming up with a plan for this month as I'm still in a state of disorganization after the summer, stamp I wanted to use is MIA so on to the second choice the snarky cats, and there are so many to decide from but here is my mini slimline card which will be used as a money holder for Christmas.

I coloured and fussy cut the snarky cat on the sled and popped him up precariously on a snow hill, the sky was blended with distress oxide inks. The sentiment was also on the same set.

A side view to see the elevation, inside is not finished yet but will include a "fence" to hold the cash.

Thanks for visiting today and I'm sure you can come up with something a little more cheeky than I did. Do check out the SoSS blog and see what the rest of the design team have made.

It's a Banner Holiday Card

One of my favourite prompts at the Jingle Belles Challenge is the Banner inspiration one although I love all their prompts (some better than others) although I didn't manage to do a lot of the challenges I'm going to try harder in 2026 because I am scrambling to get enough cards to mail.  My card zeroed in on the pale teal and the muted trees, the glittery "Jingle" and instead of snowflakes I used trees. Check below for the inspiration banner.

I used a 3D embossing folder, mirror cardstock for the trees and some glitter cardstock for the Merry, Christmas was stamped on a scrap of pale teal as stamping on the embossed part would be messy.

Finished the inside with a scrap of teal, a hero arts sentiment and some more silver trees.

I am adding this to:

Thanks for stopping by and keep on crafting.

Forever Young

Welcome friends, family and followers and welcome to a new month and a new challenge. For the next 13 days we are promoting "Forever Young" and want to see your projects made for the young ones. This is a welcome distraction from the holiday cards I should be making, but what I made was a fairly simple mini slimline card using lots of older items even a NBUS (never been used stuff)

I haven't used Penguin Party (SU) for a long time and thought it perfect for a little one.  I stamped and fussy cut the panda and he/she is popped up. I used a cloud stencil from Essentials that I had to have in 2022 but never got it out to try until now and it wasn't as scary to use as I thought it might be. The large birthday die was cut twice and layered for a bit of elevation.

Side view on how it is elevated, the balloon was coated with s nuvo glitter brush.

Finished the inside with a very old birthday sentiment woodblock set from Stampin'up

A Quick Thank You

Hello and glad you are here to check out the new challenge at Shopping Our Stash which is to make a quick thank you card in under 30 minutes, don't forget to time yourself.  Since I seldom make CAS cards mine took the full 30 minutes, I probably could have stopped the clock while I washed the glue off my fingers.

I haven't made an eclipse card in a long time and I hoped I could manage the 30 min time challenge. The first thing that makes a quick card is dies, second is a fabulous winter paper pad with gorgeous scenes. There is nothing on this card that is over 2 years old.

A better look at the eclipse element.

Thanks for visiting today and check out the fantastic quick cards the rest of the gang at Shopping Our Stash have made,  then get your timer out and see if you can do it!!
