Christmas Kickstart challenge meets Mojo Monday Sketch.

I love Mojo Monday sketches, they have measurements, layers and easy to follow, sometimes it's the best way to get your "mojo" started. When I saw it I found the perfect stamp for that circle, it's a Penny Black stamp I have had for years and I use it for Christmas and Birthday cards too.

I don't often use patterned paper in this way but this worked perfect for the sketch especially the one with the presents on it, which was perfect for the Penny Black stamp that followed the criteria for Christmas Kickstart Challenge ~~ It's a Gift
The white doily I was moving from place to place so decided it was time to use it, (it's a wonder I found it when the time came)  The image was coloured with copics cut and layered with the original spellbinders circle dies. The scalloped layer is cut with Elizabeth Craft Designs scalloped rectangles. Merry Christmas is a sticker.

Close up of the sticker, I liked the package so well I think I now have 3.

Finished the inside with a scrap of "presents" paper and  a sentiment from Impression Obsession (I think)  Every time I use this stamp it goes on crooked, if I remember next time I use it I will use a piece of scrap to adjust it as using the lines on the stamp positioner isn't working.

This is the final card that I had backlogged due to a laptop issue which my local independent computer store fixed for me free of charge, that is just awesome.
Thanks for stopping by today and the sketch challenge ends on September 29 but the Christmas Kickstart Challenge just started and ends in two weeks.

'Tis the Season

I had this super grumpy elf already coloured on my desk when I saw the September Christmas challenge at Happy Little Stampers. It's Anything Goes with the option of Elf. I'm sure this grumpy elf is from Mel Jen's digis, sadly closed and I love the digis I have in my files.

I cut the image and the scalloped layers with Elizabeth Craft Designs stitched rectangles and scalloped rectangles, the dark green layer is dry embossed  with random sequins, (Stampin'up)
The small sentiment is from a package that has 6 already inked stamps (only black ink) I bought at Winners and have no idea who made them.

What else would a grumpy elf say than "Bah Humbug"
I used some green stickers to make the sentiment, normally I would have printed it out on the computer but at the cottage there is not a printer, and really didn't think the card totally through.

Happy Little Stampers ~~ Anything goes (option of Elf)

Since it is getting late in the month I need to enter this card in:

Rudolph Days ~~ September

ABC Christmas Challenge ~~ T is for Texture
Background is dry embossed.

I normally try to make one card for each Christmas challenge I find but this month it has been very busy and I'm still going to the cottage while the weather is good, it will be soon time to drain the water, turn the hydro off, put the phone and internet on vacation until SPRING.

Thanks for joining me here today and I'm still building my Holiday Stash.

Roses are Purple.....

I have been having laptop problems for a couple of days and thinking it was the server I called twice, once at the cottage and this morning at home, I then had to locate a computer shop and take it in to have it fixed,  the young man was so helpful all it needed was a restart, evidently Windows 10 needs a restart at least once in 7 days.  With that said I now have a backlog of 3 cards that need to be blogged to make sure I don't miss the deadline for the challenges. Without further adieu here is the first one.

I made this card for a friend's birthday I fussy cut the Stippled Rose, long retired from Stamin'up, I'm sure this is one of the first stamps I bought. I love the cover a card die and I cut it in white and layered it on purple cardstock. finished it with a HB cut out of foam core.

Close up of the Happy Birthday.

Just a bit of "snark" on the inside. Stamped in purple.

I'm entering this in:

Thanks for visiting today and keep looking there are two more to go.

Sea Worthy ATCs

Happy Little Stampers September ATC challenge is Ocean/Sea. My first thought was an old long retired Stampin'up set Fishy Friends (2003) I knew they were the perfect size for an ATC.

I made two shaker atcs and two atc coins. All backgrounds are using some smooshed distress oxide inks.

Closer look at the shaker atcs

Closer look at the coins.
Both sets were coloured with spica glitter pens  and I added some white pearls from the $$ store. The beads were also some I bought at Dollarama. (I left them at the cottage so I had a spare package and it's one more thing I don't have to remember to bring with me)

I'm entering this in:.

Thanks for stopping by today and hope you like my creations for this challenge.

Peace on Earth.....

Be prepared there will be a few new posts today as some of the challenges are coming to the end of the month/challenge. Jingle Belles is one of those challenges that I seem to pop a card in at the last few hours.  The Challenge is Peace on Earth so a peaceful scene or the word peace on your card. I came up with both.

The background was made last weekend thinking I would get something done then but alas time was short last week. Very simple card the oval was elevated with foam core on a dark blue background. I think it makes the image pop. A simple die cut Peace was cut out of foam core and attached.

I finished the inside with a Hero Arts stamp I won from one of the previous Jingle Belles Challenges. (thanks) because there was a tree in the word "year" I added a small tree. (from a left over die box)

Dream the Embossible Dream!!

It's a NEW challenge at Shopping Our Stash!!! Dream the Embossible Dream, our hostess for this challenge is Chris and she decided we would do some heat embossing or use an embossing folder or both!!!  Well I've been gearing up for this challenge for two weeks, I brought things and ideas to the cottage to work on it....well last weekend I had to leave the background here as it didn't dry, so now this weekend I'm all set (or so I thought) evidently I didn't NOT have versamark watermark ink here so my plans are now on hold, I will work on it next weekend and post it NEXT Tuesday. It was just luck that I had brought some embossing folders with me and at least I have a card for the challenge.

All things used on this card I've had for a while (except the butterfly die) and none have been used. Although you can't tell the purple layer is sparkly and I tried to die cut the sentiment out of it but it really didn't work. So grabbed some scraps left from another project and die cut the sentiment. The purple beads are from the Eyelet Outlet and were left over from when I did a stint with their design team.

Close-up of the gorgeous embossing folder and the tiny butterfly.

Finished the inside with a favourite sentiment and a tiny butterfly

Thanks for stopping by today, don't forget to stop by the Main Blog and see what Embossible Dreams the rest of the design time have made for the challenge.

It's a Scandinavian Holiday!!!

This will be one really quick post as the Challenge at Christmas Kickstart is almost over. I wasn't sure I was going to be able to do it until I found the patterned paper in my Christmas stash. I made a very simple card just to let the patterned paper shine.

Although it doesn't show in the picture some of the decorations on the paper are really glossy, and of course it was very dull when I took the picture I really like the Ott Lamp I have at home much better.(now the sun is out). The small evergreen die cuts are from Impression Obsession.

The Thinking of You at Christmas was die cut three times out of green cardstock and glued together before adding them to the card.

Finished the inside with a new sentiment from Stampendous and an evergreen tree.

I'm entering this in:

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you are working on your holiday stash.

It's the Dog Days of Summer......

Donna is the hostess for the Dog Days of Summer at Shopping Our Stash. Not a difficult challenge just put a Dog on your project, so easy peasy!!! I used "Part of the Pack" stamp from Picket Fence Studios.

As you see I'm spending time at the cottage, and it's cooling down and rather dull today but I really like taking the pictures on the breakwall at the beach at the end of our driveway. As I said the stamp is called Part of the Pack, I coloured the dogs with copics and layered them on Elizabeth Craft Designs stitched rectangles and scalloped rectangles. Popped the sentiment up on fun foam.

.

Finished the inside with a die cut puppy and a favourite sentiment.

Now that you checked out my card for the challenge head over to the Main Blog and see what the rest of the design team have made.

Thanks for visiting and check out your "dog" stamps/dies and join our challenge.

L is for Liquor

I haven't managed to post anything for the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers in a while, Life got in the way and for some unknown reason my idea for the challenge never happened until it was too late to make it. This time I had an idea, and it was in time to make a card, "bonus" so without whining any longer about my lack of mojo....here is my card for L is for Liquor.

This is a Sassy Studio digital image I must have printed last year for a new years card? who knows not me but when I saw it in my stack of printed/stamped images I knew it was perfect for the challenge. I'm not sure the martini is "dirty" enough but didn't want to ruin the image.

Close up of the sentiment

Another angle and the inside isn't finished yet.

Thanks for visiting today and don't forget to head over to the MAIN BLOG and see what the rest of the design team have made.
